Naturalist role (asap pls??)

I'm focusing on the naturalist role, and I have no idea how to handle it..

i've been trying to focus on farm animals first, but i've been going to SO many ranches, and there's just.. ZERO animals??

also is there a specific time that animals spawn.. because sometimes if I'm just riding around, i see not even a bird anywhere.

I'm just lookig for tips on how to handle the role, and especially the farm animals / legendaries.. (i don't understand legendaries at all)

The one thing I can say for certain is that game servers with more players spawn a lot less less npcs and animals, so your best bet is finding a server with a few people
Don't know nothing about legendaries though

And also, if a place doesn't have the animals you need but you're certain they spawn there, you can ride further from the location and then coming back and they should have respawned/switched

exploit the hell out of the hill haven ranch, it got me through level 10

sedate all the animals there, ride off, join a different session and repeat

Just get mod that puts you in solo lobby, plus all the legendary animals spawn, gotta be there at right condition n time.

I can’t speak to how things are on PC, obviously, but in my experience, the best way to go about Naturalist is to take it as it comes, or in specific chunks. If you’re not having luck with Farm animals, try heading down to the desert, or to the swamps, or to the mountains. Bag deer and pronghorn as you go. Try to avoid the temptation to grind, otherwise you’ll drive yourself insane.

As for Legendaries—they’re weird, honestly? You start to see them more frequently around Level 5, I think, which is also when you can start doing missions for Harriet. The missions are a rotating pool of what animals will be available in sets of 3–you’ll be able to do missions with the Night Coyote, the Golden Bear, or the Moon Beaver or something, then they’ll switch over and it’ll be 3 different animals.

But the Free Roam Legendaries are their own separate pool, with higher chances of spawning at specific times of day or in specific weather conditions, though this of course isn’t a guarantee and they can still spawn whenever. I can grab you a list of such times and conditions, if you’d like.
