hello!! i'm desperate to remove the scope from my carcano rifle. i keep seeing people online with them. i was told theres a glitch you can do to accomplish it, but googling it only shows the one that works for single player... any help would be great

It is a good thing that this does not work in online haha. However with controller you can use the Carcano and Rolling Block without scope - but only on horseback.

well i've seen multiple people with it. i was just playing with a guy for a couple hours who removed his. he says he dosen't remember how he did it though

Maybe look into the green gun for the carcano, I know that messes with the weapon allowing it to get unreleased attachments and colors.

found out you can do it in missions really easy, since your rifle can drop for ammo
but once you go back to free roam the scope comes back....

Well of course, you get a wider field of view, that and the damage, it's a big advantage

I think we're likely referring to lock on rather than how the game helps you land unexpected headshots

when you remove the scope its totally free aim, its acually quite hard to use on controller like i have been doing

Since you're on PC it could be people modding the game. Since they haven't added an anti-cheat to RDR2. Not even like it would matter anyways since they got a work around through the anti-cheat within the first day.

well thats one of the big reasons i'm here. like, i don't wanna "cheat" i actually would prefer if the game wer harder. one of the reason i love using this rifle, is because it has no aim assist when you remove the scope. so its the only way i can play, where i can use a revolver with aim assist, and rifle with it off.
and i was hoping i could like, get a script or something that would JUST allow me to remove the scope from this rifle
nothing else. i don't want magic powers or god mode or infinate money. i just want this rifle scopeless

Just turn aim assist off completely? I mean it is more fun. You won´t stand a chance in pvp against mouse users but for pve it´s doable.

because i like using it for the other weapons, because they take way more shots to kill people usually. i like that its balanced with the rifle by having it off, but it kills most npcs in 1 or 2 hits
