Is my PC rig too weak for RDO or should I just use optimized settings (like Hardware Unboxed or Digital Foundry settings). I accidentally flicked a bunch of settings and got glitchy settings and lag. I'm literally fine with mid to high at 1080p with DLSS Performance on as long as it doesn't look or run like trash

32 GB Ram 3200MHz

Gen 3 mobo
windows 10 64-bit

ULTRA and 16x might be much for online play but probably great for single player
i tend to drop it to high and 8x, but really depends on stuff like VRAM but your hardware is more then enough... came out roughly same time as the game i believe.
the hardware unboxed settings i still use but i had to change it with the update to FSR and DLSS... i personally use FSR at 50% on QUALITY.. but player around with your settings and run a benchmark to compare 😄

yeah i run mine on vulkan too.. i don't see any issues on why it wouldn't

so...my pc isn't weak i just flicked on some wonky settings

yeah having it on 16x and ultra settings will drop your FPS but it'll look great
but on mouse and keyboard i prefer having a better frame rate .. i think it helps me hit my shots anyway

i mean i wasn't really planning on using ultra anyway tbh, just mid-high
so i should be fine at 60fps
my main fear was it running at like 25fps
and only was gonna do 4x

like i was gonna mostly run the game at mid to high and turn off stuff like tree tesselation and taa sharpening and use dx12

i would say yes, but you gotta test it yourself with the benchmark.... i don't have your exact setup.

yeah my setup likes vulkan a bit more than dx12... but we do have different video cards
