I love hunting in red dead whats the best abilties i can use for hunting

You don't really need abilities to hunt, but I recommend slow and steady as when that's activated your horse won't buck you very useful for legendary animals other than that you could use horseman if you prefer hunting on horseback and sharpshooter which is useful for snipers.

unblinking eye allows you to stay in both dead eye and eagle eye for longer

use that and slow and steady to cheese predators on horseback

nothing else is really necessary, but something like iron lung and the card that passively regens deadeye might be nice for a chill hunting build

the eagle eye bit alone makes it worthy of a card to run in a chill exploration build as nothing else other than eagle eye+ buffs it in the game, the amount of times you spam eagle eye more while collecting without it can add up

granted it's not a significant boost, but can be nice QoL

honestly if you know how to cheese horses temperament you don't even need slow and steady my norfolk (Bond level 2) was absolutely ignoring a legendary cougar

beware the predators running circles around ur horse though, you may miss all of your shots if you suck lmfao

for me i use the improved bow when hunting cause sometimes you need those small arrows

and i switch between rolling block and varmint rifle with PiB and mostly dead eye cards like gift of focus, eye for an eye and peak condition/live for the fight.
