#very confused on stats and gun affinity

Don't rely on the in-game stats as I mentioned before. They're infamously inaccurate. !weaponstats brings up the spreadsheet for future use, but here's a direct link to it https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iYfk68DYfok33M1Hp-bkItUUqk_PS0PLkz5-AtnY3dI/edit#gid=512637180
The short of it is: Lanacster deals a bit less damage, but is far more accurate. Fires slightly faster and reloads slightly faster
So if we go off just stats
Only thing the Litchfield does is just damage?
Yep
If you use Paint It Black then accuracy is a non-issue. The fire rate and reload speed difference is honestly negligible
Im a lil confused with the Navys too. Says better in EVERYway than Lemats
Navy deals slightly more damage, but is also more accurate too. Enough to make it a viable mid-range sidearm. Navy also fires ever so slightly faster (Navy has better DPS, basically) and also reloads a little faster too. But also it only carries 6 rounds rather than 9 like the Lemat
I do like the guns in RDR just annoying to keep cleaning. Im thinking Lemats
LeMats are solid. If it's for PvE then really whatever is fine. Schofields and LeMats are generally the best there, while Navy is better for PvP.
Schofield is better for dual wielding for a while due to their faster reload speed and being otherwise identical in perfomance.
LeMats are better for swapping back and forth between dual LeMats and a longarm, so you can let it reload while holstere (takes 10 seconds). That way you never have to deal with the long reload speed from empty.
Yep
Lemats it us
put em away and 10 seconds later they're back to full. It's super handy with the Lemats
I like to use a Lancaster as my swap-to. Use LeMats till empty, swap to Lancaster, use it for 10 seconds, swap back, use LeMats for 10 seconds, rinse and repeat
It'll work. As long as you get a good feel for the bloom on the Litchfield it's perfectly usable. It just needs you to be a little more patient with it than the Lancaster.
Bloom is just aiming in right? I turned it off in the hud
Before ya can fire for it to be the dot?
Basically there's this circle around the dot that tells you where the shot could land in. It'll get bigger after shooting, while moving, and in that first moment after you aim the weapon. It'll shrink (become more accurate) as you continue aiming- up to a point.
Obv you can't see it w/o the hud but that's the technical part of bloom, just where it could go
Litchfield has fairly big bloom so you just need to wait a moment or two before firing to make sure it lands on the dot, while standing still.
Always curious what it was. Figured it worked like GTA where the dot was the spot
Gonna turn it back on, use the Litchfield for a bit if i dont like it switch back to Lancaster
Yeah, that's a good plan. That way you can kinda build up like, muscle memory with it.
yep, buckshot always has natural spread, bloom just determines where that spread pattern might be fired at
Well i learned this right now, did know that xD
