Might be better to post in #1061695057872289843
it is just a general question not a tech question
I'm not saying this is the wrong channel. I'm saying he might have a better chance for a response in tech support. That's all 🤷
putting your laptop on top of something like the bottom of an egg carton can help with air flow... but yeah better cooling would help 😄
holy shit
If it's older laptop (few months might be enough), might want to clean out the dust. Though for some models even that won't help, after all laptops are not made for gaming (doesn't matter what people selling them tell you). If it's clean already, you could try buying some of those cooling pads, it might help to cut some degrees, at least you wouldn't be toasting bread under the lid any more.
laptop tips: Most laptops dont vent very well sitting flat on a table top, and definitely dont sit them down on something soft like bedding. it covers the fans. If you want them to have better thermal exhaust, they should be propped up at an angle allowing more space for more airflow and better heat transfer (there's tons of laptop stands you can buy online). Also, dont be afraid to lower some settings. lower component load = less heat. Just because your GPU in it can handle more doesnt mean the laptop will handle the heat it generates.
