What do you recommend I pick for my first role? I'm currently leaning toward Bounty Hunter, as the general consensus seems to say that it's a good choice.

bounty hunter is the only role that gives gold sooo.... Bounty hunter
Then either collector or trader as trader is 2x for another 15 days but u might not be able to get it in time

there's an explanation in the pins somewhere about the bounty gold payouts... and in reddit apparently
basically every 3 minutes you wait you get a bit more gold

I would do collector first, it's less risky for a newer player and the rewards with the online map are great! You can earn around $1k from one day of collecting. A new player needs cash and exp, this role gives you both. You can easily level up from collecting and easily reach rank 20 in only a couple of days (If you spent the days just collecting). You could then earn gold by joining players from the #group-up-tags to do bounties or join up on the trader wagons to earn around $625 this month (usually you earn $300 while the owner earns $600). The collector role can be boring, but it's very rewarding!

Yeah I agree with cheesy, this week if you have collector role and you complete the Salvage Collector Free Roam Event you'll get coupon for 5 Gold Bars off trader role.
Then starting Jan 17th, you complete the Trade Route Free Roam Event to get coupon for 5 Gold Bars off the Moonshine role.
Then at last week, you Complete 2 Free Roam events to get coupon for 5 Gold Bars off the Bounty Hunter role. So you will save 15 gold bars.
