I currently use a quest 1, but the controllers aren't working anymore. I would like to buy a quest 2, I don't know whether to wait for a quest 3. I have also consider buying a used quest 2, but I'm not sure whether it is worth it.

Well, you could buy a headset that is over 3 years old
and will sound join the oculus quest 1, in the grave when its server get shut down after a 1 year of the quest 3 being out
because there servers are gonna be taken down at some point or another
and then you will just have an oculus quest 2 that can't even be used anymore
