It can probably play most older/less graphically intensive VR games

besides the fact oculus link doesnt support iy

ALVR exists

stiff steppe
#

ig but doesnt that use your wifi?

night ore
#

Most routers will work fine

#

As long as you have decent WiFi it should be a good experience

stiff steppe
#

youre assuming people have one in the same room, while our wifi system is great i cannot use wireless link in my room

night ore
#

Buy a WiFi extender :). I have one in my room and it works great

#

Can probably pick one up for $15

#

Also I just checked and ALVR has USB support

stiff steppe
#

well that changes things

#

ignore what i said then lmao

You should probably stop using what it says on the website as a base. Computers below the requirements can play a huge majority of VR games

stiff steppe
#

its more about what link without any external software supports

#

ive tried running oculus link on a 1650 which is unsupported and it just straight up wont launch games

night ore
#

I don't think ALVR is an "external software support" I just think it's an alternative. Both Oculus and ALVR have pros and cons

stiff steppe
#

tbh i have no idea how alvr works but i assumed it just worked around the oculus software

night ore
#

nope

#

ALVR is a just software that lets you connect a Quest to SteamVR

stiff steppe
#

ah interesting

#

might see if i can get that working
