This week's guess-the-theme show has finally arrived, and it was a fun experience because I could play with some pairs I rarely use in CSMM, as well as some new strategy.

The theme is based on a certain gamemode except LG, including minor gamemodes like Battle Villa and Time Trial Event. That's the hint for ya

Now, let's move into the detail of each clear:

Vs. Caitlin: My first time using BP Karen. In LG she is a decent tank, but here she is a hot garbage. At least she did some chip dmg so Grimsley could focus on nuke

Vs. Marshal: This theme doesn't allow the pairs having zone, so I couldn't clear within the first sync cycle. Hoping for Sabrina's power boost with Sterne Stuff 3 and +50 Def because the fcking Hammer Arm KOs her from 90% with Reflect active

Vs. Grimsley: OG Janine is a pretty good counter to this stage thanks to Venom Drench lowering both atk and speed. Atk debuffs also help Mallow focus on Power Whip instead

Vs. Shauntal: THIS IS FCKIN EASY LMAO

Vs. Iris: BP Zinnia surprisingly has good dps when you activate all of her multipliers. Double Flareon core is pretty good at that: Irida keeps flinching to enable Zinnia's innate sync multiplier and Harry 2, while Tina buffs her and debuffs atk. Iris got no chance against them

The roster is very broad if I chose to include every region, so I only picked 2 for theme, but the roster still has many options

Thanks to NC Red, one of the regions is obviously Kanto But it starts to get tricky when some Pokemon are used in other regions too, but there is a crucial hint towards Johto. Do you know what is it?

@whole flame once again, guessed the correct hint without being aware the hint is Koga's Ariados, which also appears in Flying weak Bruno stage in Kanto CS!

Mono Fairy challenge is completed it's quite a fun experience with units I thought they only excel on LG. All of them are pre sync with half HP param

Vs. Hala: This team is copied from Jo's idea. Minimal rng required: just avoid Hammer Arm at all cost. Lillie provides random debuffs and sure crit to Lodge Lillie's SEUN boosted sync on the left and the middle

Vs. Bruno: SS Gladion's usual business: destroy everything with his B Move. Had to reset a bit so Sylveon could live until it could setup zone

Vs. Sidney: One of Lodge Leaf's underrated tiles is Satisfied Snarl on Disarming Voice, and it's showed to be super useful on mostly-special stage like this one. Summer Marnie's sync is still good on today's standards, but it requires some rng like SEUN and crit

Vs. Drasna: This is the hardest clear, because I had to reset a lot of time to keep PDawn alive. Fortunately SS Wally with Sprint EXR speeds up a lot after Dawn finishes her job, allow Diantha to pop up beeg numbers

Vs. Nate: Should have kept a zone setter to showcase Valerie, but trying out Katherine's nuke is more fun. The problem is the setup, and Nate and the sides put Penny under pressure of being KO'ed anytime

For who don't know what the f Battle Factory is, it's a battle facility in Battle Frontiers, where you have to battle with randomized Pokemon. In this challenge, I will clear CSMM with a randomized roster.

The goal is to use 8 strikers, 8 supports, 8 techs, 1 sprint, 1 field and a gen pool of my choosing to get the highest CSMM score. I will use the a random generator to generate random pairs from my roster (I will post the proof videos later). Since I only have a Sprint who is Riley, he will be automatically eligible to use.

Flinching Psychic Terrain is crucial because Caitlin hit really hard

Vs. Lance: Damn, Raihan's Steel Beam hits harder than I remembered (totally not carried by V Thorton and Penny). I forgot Lance had Iron Head 💀 so zone is a double edge sword here

Vs. Agatha: Ignore the fact that he was carried by 2 Kalos MF, Lodge Cheren is a good choice for Dark freebie. Good dps, good nuke and spdef debuff, surely one of my favorite f2p pairs.

Vs. Lorelei: I haven't had much chance to use 3/5 Iono lately, so I tried replacing NC Blue with her on SS Leaf's comp. She is so op that I had to use max HP/max Str param to prevent the 2 frogs end the fight before Leaf's nuke (altho it only did 80k because Lorelei buffed her defense before)

Vs. Bruno: "Set foot aside, SC Rosa. Now I'm Anni May's bestie" said Bede. SpAtk + SpDef debuff and having a big bomb to deny a side, getting him from a Mix is such a blessing for me (his theme slaps too )

Vs. Blue: I will be honest, I haven't used SS Red in CSMM for ages. If I had Chase his performance would be more appealing, but Red is okay with his life long rival assisting with Blue's own dps

my original plan was using L Calem on R5, but I used Penny on R1 so i scrapped the plan

Alright, here is the detail for each fight. I also included a restriction to make the challenge more interesting:

Vs. Molayne: 1/5 Mix Blue is capable of solo striking, as long as he always attacks under sun. Lillie was there to provide +2 spatk and random debuffs, while Plumeria doing Plumeria things (not damage)

Vs. Olivia: the most tricky stage during the challenge. High HP pool + strong moves make her not easy to post sync while your team hits like wet noodles. Enter triple Unova team, circle boosted Hilda was so crazy that the battle ended quickly

Vs. Acerola: V Agatha gives Sidney +2 atk and her Leer is useful to soften the enemies. Brawly assisted with more defense debuff and emergency heal

Vs. Kahili: introduce my newly 3/5 Oleana! She is very fun to use as both dmg dealer and an utility bot, thanks mix for giving me 2/5 a few days ago. I don't need to talk about how crazy sync accels are in this game

Vs. Hau: back in my days everyone was scared of sure paralysis, kids these days don't get our frustration smh. Anyway both Calem and SS Gladion having Immunity passives while Lodge Gladion having Sync Cure make Hau a joke
