Friday night is a bit boring, so I shake things up with a CSMM challenge. The theme is very easy to guess: I have to bring 5 teams whose dmg dealers' type matching with this week weaknesses, but I can't do ontype

Vs. Sidney: Anni May + Giovanni core is so good. May provides terrain + spatk buffing for Gio, in the other hand Gio has 50% chance to debuff spdef to activate May's multipliers. I purposely reseted for Brutal Swing on first turn to activate Power Reserves on Giovanni

Vs. Drake: triple Lucario team Tbh I didn't have much hope on Riley's offtype performance, but it turned out to be superb. Drake constantly debuffs Speed so taking Amped Up is a must to maintain Riley's innate sync. Btw he got +10 energy treatment, he deserves it

Vs. Glacia: a bit tricky because R3 boosted Glacia's special moves as well, but it's not a problem for Victor and Shauntal to shine Dawn's kamikaze helped a lot, as it allows the other two to queue 2 moves in a short window, so Shauntal was able to nuke Glacia before she unleashed her deadly sync

Vs. Phoebe: the hardest stage during the challenge. Make sure these things happen: 1) Phoebe must not use Earthquake 2) Ingo must be on the field until he uses the second sandstorm 3) Pray for Rock Slide flinch. Head Start on Ingo and SS Diantha helped to reach sync quickly

Vs. Wallace: Originally I had 1/5 SS Wally on the team, but he didn't do much damage and demanded first sync so I kicked him out because I'm biased towards EX Support sync Pal Serena nuked 42k on the second sync which is good enough imo

Overall a fun challenge, but it would be more fun if Phoebe could be more gentle

This week BR has been my worst experience so far. The starting boost is Fairy, which is not bad but I can't make use of them properly because of bonus roles set being Sprint focused and stage gimmicks. Speaking about stage gimmicks, there were many hard and annoying stages too, like Electric weak Malva (Grusha's BC), Electric weak Aaron, Grass weak Volkner (Holiday 2022's BC) and Fairy weak Piers (NY2023's BC).

And the last Arena, I got Anabel on VH difficulty. This would be an easy NC Serena cheese if Anabel didn't have sunny weather my other options are 1/5 VLyra, May and Irida. Among these options, no one has debuffing pace like NC Serena (except Irida, but she is not ontype and still doesn't match with Serena's) so Fluid Fortification is also a big problem. Irida is reliant on hail and zone to be a solo dmg dealer and she only has 3 uses of weather total, so I had to buy MPizza to refresh WTZ. Volkner could contribute more if Anabel didn't max ATK quickly and used Bulldoze near the second sync

In conclusion, I still like Rally because it's not a braindead mode, like AT ALL

Vs. Koga: He has been famous for being annoying even before Sinnoh CS era, and R1 happened to have increased effectiveness of status conditions parameter so why not? He kept spamming Poison Jab so Erika had to eat some cookies to get Antitoxin, or she would die in one action

Vs. Karen: Originally I had NC Rosa + sup Sprigatito with Barry, but sides hit hard after the second sync and Rosa didn't have enough recovery to sustain herself. Mix Red came to rescue with his brutal B Move Lodge Sycamore did his best here, as his chip damage was enough to make pre syncing possible

Vs. Bruno: Nothing much to say here, but I had to reset a couple time because Dawn couldn't eat a Mega Kick or Close Combat with half HP parameter

Vs. Will: Dude was not chill with 60% Poison. Switching between some parameter sets worked to make Acerola didn't melt from boosted Energy Ball

Vs. Lance: Looking back again, SS Acerola is amazing here to eat physical attacks well with SC Sonia + terrain core. Shauna was not an amazing tank and she couldn't make SS Leaf pre sync (note to self: buy her additional energy to get both Relentless + Power Play), so I had to bring the cheat code ||I don't regret it||

Pasio CS challenge: Offtype with no support and op pairs cheesing

Let's get straight to detail of each battle before I turn into a lazy sloth 🦥

Vs. Bertha: We already know about NC Red's capability, but I haven't seen many people appreciating Hala's bulk. That's why I turned No Status Condition on, to see how well Hala takes hits. With a TM MPR and an Unyielding proc, he survived till the victory

Vs. Lorelei: Flinching cheesing with 30% chance Took dozens of try and the following things must happen for a comfortable win: 1) Flinch first turn and get 2 - 3 more flinch to prevent Lorelei from syncing and 2) Blue gets 2 TM MPR

Vs. Bruno: Did you know that Zerena has Sync Damage Guard and BT Leon has Max Damage Guard on grid? With triple Damage Guard, the team took the sync easily. Still took some attempts to win because post sync Dire Hit sucked and Lisia had Aggravion -5 to piss me off

Vs. Grimsley: Strangely I won first try with this team my love for Emma finally paid off. Anyway Janine dodged all moves with only +2 evasion which is really insane. Grimsley having low HP also helped a bit

My silly themed weekly challenge is finally done and tbh I somehow struggled to beat Johto CS, must be skill issue

Vs. Will: Ball Guy is very good at removing positive stats, so 5 Stats Up is a free param. He doesn't like Ice Beam spam tho, so I have to reset a lot for favorable move order (note: my BG is only 1/5 so no Acumen). Emma + Oleana doing usual work, I guess

Vs. Bruno: oh man oh man why does Close Combat hit hard for no reason. Previously I tried many comps, like Ingo + Courtney + Naomi, but most of them couldn't survive the onslaught, so flinch chaining it was. Aaron buys time and finishes Hugh's buff, while Jasm
ine debuffs defense. During the run I purposely let Bruno sync to activate the PMUN up passive on Hugh's grid one full revive is very op I admit

Vs. Koga: without her usual partners, Hilda struggled to kill sides with Searing Shot, so I brought SS Erika for sun+ dps assist, and Melony to buy time with sleep

Vs. Karen: starting from here, it was smooth sailing. Cynthia + Riley ramp easily took down mid pre sync with halved sync cd params. I haven't given Riley cake yet so he still had to deal with sides

Previously I tried using Lodge and Classic Giovanni (rancer's and Vantner's fave), but Korrina didn't deal enough dmg to pre sync. Switching to full offensive didn't work either, because both tanks exploded to 1 or 2 attacks. So NC Calem came to rescue

Vs. Koga: Ethan (Aurochs), Victor (@deep prawn ||bro i havent seen you in ages ||, Courtney (Mael)

Pre sync double bombs Ethan acted as a evade tank here

Vs. Will: Hilbert (rancer), Wulfric (Santos), NC Serena (Richu, Mael, Trout )

Serena stayed in Dark mode most of time, except first 2 turns because of debuffs from WS. Nothing much to say more about this run because it was literally staggering spam

Vs. Bruno: Jasmine (Gnolte), Allister (mimi), Selene (Dreamy)

This run in other hand, took me many resets. Because I picked Tech x3 dmg, I had to reset for no Bulldoze from Bruno, as well as favorable move rotation so Jasmine could tank until after 1st sync. Skill gears really helped to secure the KO on Selene's sync

Vs. Lance: Hop (Grace), Leaf (nov, Annie, Trout), Gloria (GalarianLippao)

2/5 Gloria is actually good ontype Leaf sped up buffing so Hop could heal himself for tanking, as well as heal Gloria to tank the sync more comfortable

Overall a fun theme to play with, thank you who took part in building the roster. I always welcome new additions to the list of fave to make future runs more diverse

Vs. Will: Originally Helena was used instead of Agatha for damage assist + nuke, but even with max offensive params + least bulk possible she couldn't deny the left side. Another problem is LElesa couldn't outlast enemies' attacks, so Agatha came to rescue. I also did insta-queue after Hypnosis twice somehow

Vs. Koga: Tbh, I didn't have much high hope for this clear at first, because Tina had always disappointed me in CSMM. But this first-try clear gained me trust on her, because she ate every attacks without dying the core is double Candice with Froslass using Blizzard to chip down targets while Abomasnow nuking left and mid with SEUN boosted sync

Vs. Karen: Fury Cutter is too slow to ramp, so Noland only used X-Scissor while Bugsy took the role of sync nuker. Nothing much to say about this clear aside from avoiding Dark Pulse spam

Vs. Bruno: This is the most annoying clear so far. For this challenge specifically, I try to avoid using EX Support's sync, but I don't think this clear is possible with Oak taking both sync, unless I do insta-queue flinch 100% of the time. Oak's sync is nothing crazy, only did ~20k on second and third sync, but this was with non-optimal teammates
