In short, for the feather trick :

• After selecting your gear to upgrade, in the feathers selection menu, go offline before picking your feather
• Roll feathers and ignore the connection errors
• IF you got somethig good ->reconnect and confirm
• IF you get nothing and want your feathers back, confirm what you got (returning in the gear selection tab) and close the game. Then reconnect and restart (twice, you'll get an extra error)
