AoE moves are a bit inconsistent with their targeting, but generally the enemy will delay if they can see that their current target will die with their next move, like from recoil, weather, or a status condition, or if they literally don't have the gauge to use the move they want

Even for aoe moves or sync there's a "main target", which for the opponent should always follow the order from tactics.

Here's the first Support 3k : Ground
Pretty RNG, had to do a bunch of changes to parameters. Started without weather but was required for the sun. Overheat mostly oneshots if it hits. I tried Lodge Cynthia instead of Nita for SpDef but gauge was at issue. Their Hypnosis is so random it's hard to plan around it, so the rotation was messy but it worked out. In retrospect, i should have maybe had Ingo tank but whatever. The rest will come slowly, i can't do all of em rn!
