In all the years of Pokefair Selects I have gotten Pokefairs in the actual x15/x25 pull a grand total of twice

4 years, only 2 times

That said, even if you do equate Select 5k = 1 unit, it is still more cost-effective than Mix

Tier Scout 10k = 1 unit is also more cost-effective

You don't pull on Mix for cost-effectiveness, you pull on it for

1. Not needing to wait for reruns
2. Thrill
3. Actually wanting the featured Mix unit lul

If you wanted to get as many new units as possible with your paid gems, it's still better to wait for Tiers and Selects since you can guarantee someone new, and someone you want (or at least prefer)

Treat Mix as a premium Select, if you do not want to have to wait to get a particular unit, and enjoy the ride and bonus stuff along the way

Because unlike pulling on dailies, Mix actually has a point to it

Unless your goal is to minimize the number of new units you get with paid gems

lear's event runs from 23 june to 1 july, so thats 9 days. but the cut off for this update's calcs is 26 june. so the gems from 27 to 1 july will be accounted for in the next update.
shiro lumped the entirety of the gems from the event into this update, so that is why there is a discrepancy btwn our calcs. also our cut off dates are different.

If you don't save, there will be a time where you miss your fave due to chasing meta. Plus, not like PoMa have a pvp system to make Meta trends and induce FoMo

Doesn’t help that rewards you get from endgame content are a lot lower than what it costs to pull someone

and that's already with the benefit of hindsight and time proving that the Reds are super powerful, when a unit is new you can't assess that very well

well honestly if you're good at predicting/judging what will be Big Meta and limit yourself to only the very top of that, and you enjoy pulling for meta over something like trainer or Pokemon faves

and also is the opportunity cost of potentially a pity going to take away from future units you might want more (eg. meta and character/pokemon is liked)
