Game economy is mostly based around two things imo, and the economy curve always acts with delay compared to the causes of its swings

• the game at launch was poor AF because there were quite fewer limiteds, but also very few events, and content was much much more annoying and time/p2w gated, so the way to pressure into shopping was giving low gem counts
• around Anni 2, alongside the gradual normalisation of MFs we started getting much better gem counts also because alongside the MFs we started getting more and more limiteds, with SCs, variety and so on, so to incentivize they had to increase economy to sustain the FOMO, also because 2022 was pretty much peak of COVID gacha wave, so they could afford to increase content and unit ratio
• 2023 brought an initial drought during the year, with COVID ending, and the now consolidated much better paid deals (the big bundles and especially the 20 day bundles actually made medium spenders much more patient and big spenders more frustrated, while giving small spenders a huge advantage they didn't have before. These things altogether brought the big division between first and second half of 2023 and the much better whale banners and more expensive selects
• 2024 feels to me like they're trying to be as conservative as possible by giving out a lot, LOT more in-game materials but less gems while getting older pairs up to date so all units can kinda "concur" to FOMO, while still avoiding the huge fails like sept '23. Makes me kinda hope we're gonna get a reverse '23 with a stronger second half of the year, but this could still be coping.

Idk about cafe and unite, but I feel like sleep is really not ever going to be a big moneymaker, with incenses and savings you can pretty much guarantee at least one of the featured event Pokémon, unless they ramp it up consistently, good sleep days also allow you to get a master ball pretty easily (plus there are a lot of ways to get diamonds, which you can save up in case of emergency faves)

Like, when I skipped tapus for their likely group rerun, which happened only 5-6 months after, and with 1 pity i grabbed 7 copies of them

Which wouldn't have been likely in splitting in 3 banners

Now I skipped hisui SC for same reason, their rerun will have more value for me

Sometimes if it's a fave but not a highest tier fave, you have to think rationally and swallow the pill

Also got use to boost drop rate during egg event as all of em has main character theme tag and if include the typing for the egg event, will give you 100% drop rate for eggs...but not much difference if you use 3 off type main characters like registeel+cobalion+solgaleo will still give you 96% egg drop rate so im not sure if that information is really useful or not

Plus the bp master pairs and solgaleo at least have grids

This month's egg event is bug, steel, ice so solgaleo and registeel got extra boost as they fit both main character and typings, maybe i will slap shiny magneton eggmon as well or shiny perrserker
