Okay, fair enough. Then my point of view for those who still want a reason to skip Palmer is this following

If you have a bit more than several really good or close to top tier strikers such as Emma, SS Hilda, Anni Lillie or the likes, as well as maybe some zone setters (some are available from standard pool), and they are across different types, then Palmer is NOT a necessity for you, you can try to off type instead using that striker + the zone setter OR a buffer, you can clear it faster that way. The more diverse your strikers or teches are, the less of a necessity Palmer is.

It also doesn't help that his move is single target only and he has a really slow start up, by the time he sets himself up, you're going to sync
