Favorite lists are great in that it creates a medium of conviction for you to follow through with. Master Fairs... whether we like it or not, seem to be the rarest thing the game produces so far (outside of Free Event pairs like Jessie, James, and Bugsy)

Even so, just because they're seemingly impossible to pull for again without a long period of time in-between each setting... that also seems to imply something; that we just aren't given enough gems inbetween each Master Fair

Now, this isn't entirely true

A 2-3 month period of non-pulling can produce, on average, 50,000-75,000 Gems

In addition, each Master Fair banner lasts for weeks, most of the time nearly a month, to pull for

With that in mind it's pretty difficult to believe that we're hardly given breathing space for the banners that come out

i mean imo we are, between so many faves of people, genuinely good units and cool mons and the gem count not even reaching a single pity to get at least one of the featured units guaranteed

Well let's try to make a list over the reasons why someone would want to pull:

• The banner contains their favorite character/pokemon
• The banner contains a compliment to their favorite character/pokemon/team
• The banner has a "really powerful looking kit"
• The banner is limited and "may not run again"
• The banner "has a good deal"

We're going to dismiss other motivations such as "being close to a pity" to solely focus on reasonings why someone would want to start investing in a banner.

Now, since this is a gacha game, and because the game involves managing your resources and choosing to invest in banners at the right times or with the right reasons, we can already see many points of conflict here. For everything we wish would happen (that we could pull the unit we want in the first multipull/that multiple reasons combine together like a favorite and a meta in the same category), odds are that we're going to hit an average of demand and cost that is going to be unfavorable to us.

So then, for the player who is aware of these details, what is it they can comfortably submit from or sacrifice in order to get the best intrinsic, personal value to themselves to that pulling on a banner that fits one of these categories is worth it for them?

It's implied you need 5/5 for certain grids.

With that logic... I mean, what's the difference between getting 5/5 on your favorite sync pair? If they're your favorite, you'll be wanting to unlock every potency they have - sync grid, level, lucky skill, merge count... I mean that was a given, by default.

People complaining about 5/5 right now doesn't... make sense to me

These grid expansions feel like they’re intended for players such as me who are trying to 5/5 all their favs but only like 2 of my favs are pokefair

• 1 Pity's worth of Gems (ANY sync pair you want in their banner)
• 1 Striker Candy
• 1 Tech Candy
• 1 Support Candy
• X amount of General Pool Pulls from
• XX amount of Regional Pool Pulls from Regional (Depending if there's a VA)
• Enough to 20/20 a Sync Pair of your choice

I simply do not see why anyone could complain about being given absolute full guarantees of not only a sync pair they want, but to better that sync pair through free means
