however a few points that need to be taken into account that are the most important thing when starting CS

CS is all about proper gameplay, you can have the right pairs and still struggle
Make sure you turned on Action Order in the settings (Poryphone menu, Battle settings)
When starting a battle, always play at 1x speed, make sure you triple queue properly by queuing 3 moves before the enemy queues 1
I cannot stress how important it is to always have 3 moves queue'd, juggle between moves and TMs if need be, you MUST know in advance what to input as you have a short window. If you struggle at first, just restart the battle it's fine.

Nice, just an advise tho. You don't need to "stick" with one unit. This game is based on strategy and teamwork. If you only "stick" to one unit, there will be a time you won't be able to complete a stage. For example both Fantina and Anni Lillie are excellent units that work in multiple contents. Try to build as many units as you can.

I get that you're a new player. I would advise you to mess around with Johto and Kanto. Find new combinations, maybe try out some not-so-powerful on type units. Those two CS are quite easy and a wonderful way for newcomers to get accustomed to CS mentally and later on MM.

Off-type isn't a coward's strategy but since we have an easier stage, it's better if you try to push yourself a bit.

Maybe even try some poison stalling technics.

pretty much all poison-weak stages are especially weak to stalling. they have low poison and badly poison resistance and usually have low resistance to certain stat debuffs too

and then there's also the example of Koga this week. low resistance to burn and trap, so stalling is also quite doable, especially with that annoying crit shield right before sync
