If you remove your belts, and you jog your steppers, are they spinning in the right direction?
Yes it's very sporadic I can get through an entire z alignment then the next one will start acting like that so it's not motor direction it almost seems like the board is randomly reversing different motor pins or something?
It sounds like your stepper drivers are dying.
Do you have any motors you know for a fact are working all the time?
If so, try swapping those stepper drivers to x and y
And see what happens
Could it be the board rather than stepper drivers ? I got the board yesterday and installed it and started having these issues but I guess it could also be the drivers
Very possible.
I ordered a manta board I'm switching it out with that today. If it keeps doing it I'll switch all the drivers out as well and go from there
What board did you have before the Octopus Pro?
Just a normal octopus board and my dumbass decided to unplug and plug a 12-volt fan back in and it shorted the board out
Switch to octopus pro had this issue. Now I'm going to Amanda board. If I still have this issue I will then mess with the stepper drivers and go from there
Just to confirm, when you installed the new board, you went through the configurator, right?
Yes, 100% reconfigured everything to the octopus pro h723 board
Correct I flashed to the 1.1 as well with zero changes
I have the 1.1 flashed to it issues so went to the old version thinking maybe it was misslabled also did that so back to 1.1 where it still had issues now to manta board and if it does it next will try stepper drivers to see if they are of issue
Very possible it's the mainboard then. Hopefully the manta will solve your issues.
