Belts tensioned to 94hz through spectroid (what an incredible app by the way) with x gantry all the way on the Y endstop.

Seems like my accellerometer isn't mapped right if I'm correct

#

the x graph shows peaks on Y

#

and the y graph shows peaks on Z

how is your ADXL mounted?

[mpu9250]
i2c_mcu: rpi
i2c_bus: i2c.1
axes_map: y,z,x

I changed the axes_map setting, let's see what happens now ๐Ÿ™‚

axes maps only changes the legend and colors on the plots, has no effect on the values

brisk ocean
#

this is how it's mounted

brisk ocean
#

Values are the same, axis seems fixed

#

im not a fan of that mount it measures in the middle of nowhere, but i digress.

first make sure the accelerometer is securely attached and it doesn't wobble if you touch it.
then run
ACCELEROMETER_QUERY
and
MEASURE_AXES_NOISE
to verify it's working correctly and doesn't return invalid values (happens sometimes)

#

Y noise seems almost double

#

but doesn't seem too crazy

swift badger
#

noise is good if it's under 100,
but it seems like it's a bit leaning forward/backward as Y shouldn't read 1/10th of earth acceleration while stationary.

#

and if that's the case you'll get those Z artifacts in Y shaper graph

brisk ocean
#

it might be leaning back a bit but that's hard to see, it seems flush with the printhead's face so I would think it is straight in the printer, my floor here is slightly tilted but nothing too bad either

your wire harness might pull the toolhead back, you can move the wiring a bit by hand to see if it affects the toolhead. if it doesn't visibly twist, Y axis graph looks fine, it's about expected for stock build. X is super wide though.
https://yko.im/2hex.png and the peak should be around the 100hz where you got a small peak

brisk ocean
#

it seems pretty sturdy when I see the toolhead move I also see the X gantry twist

#

Seems like this guy's youtube tutorial's X axis is also in the same frequency range as mine, are you sure about the peak being around 100hz? Maybe he has larger printer and that's the difference

#

I'll be looking into it further tomorrow, thanks for the help! ๐Ÿ™‚

#

Should I connect my wire loom to my ptfe tube with zipties?

seems to have gotten worse after tying them together
