#how to change stepper drivers to 5160
18 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
when i change it in ratos.cfg it does not work its looking for a cs_pin
do i need to put it in uart or spi
In the configurator. Not on any file.
Configurator takes care of all the details for you
5160 ONLY work on spi.
The don’t have uart
found it thanks
ive got nema 23 3A steppers can i put it on a 5160 driver
if i choose generic stepper it tells me im over current
i want to use them for the x and y
i know its overkill
what do you think
You will need to include any motors in the config. After everything done, add the new motors config in the bottom of printer.cfg and it will override.
But make sure you are inside the margins both of the driver and the motor. Motor should not be an issue but drivers can limit the current used.
If @thick plaza finds it ok I can include the motors in the config
no need, just use the generic stepper and ignore the current warning
