I have heard that pattern could be result of I umbilical tightness

How do you mean? The umbilical in this case is a USB toolhead board and cpap fan

as a rule of thumb, if the scale number , is in 1e3 range or low 1e4 you likely have issues related to belts not being tensioned, binding or rails binding.

@timid orbit I think as well seeing ZV being 30k and MZV the lower being 1.5k there is some issues there.

When the scale is so low it's all noise, recommendations are just incorrect.

Can also be caused by a bad mount for adxl
Or broken adxl

The Y rails seem to have some binding/grinding. Reached out to fabreeko about them but been trying to fix them in the meantime

Y axis has higher frequency peak than X axis... Unless you have Hybrid VC4 (I don't see second Y motor) then this is very sus.

ofc as I wrote this fact itself points out that something is wrong

the simple diagnosis is that the graph shows vibrations 30-100x smaller than they normally are. No need to compare it to X at all. X better than Y isn't universally true on all types of machines (pretty much only on corexy) so it;s not the best way of diagnosing problems. It's also possible to have better Y than X on corexy if the X axis is the one with the problem.

Y value of the graphs doesn't show vibration "size". PSD says how much of the vibrations overall occurred at certain frequency.

#

That's why you want the PSD as high as possible. If it is almost infinity then that means that resonance occurs only at infinitesimaly small frequency value

I'll re align everything. The X gantry is extremely smooth moving by hand but moving the Y axis by hand is very rough and grind-y
