#V-Core 3.1 commissioning

I’m in the process of commissioning my V-Core 3.1- 400, I have an acceptable bed mesh and a serviceable first layer calibration.

I’m currently in the process for sorting out the parts cooling fan. The issues I’m having with the fan is as follows:

When I first powered up the printer the Fan would energize at 100% on startup despite the console indicating it was at 0%.
By sliding the percentage to 100% the fan would turn off. (How do I fix this?)
After several firmware restarts while adjusting various other printer components the fan stopped working all together, I believe it’s possibly toast.

I have ordered a new fan but I would like to continue trouble shooting the issue, I have the jumper set to 12v for the red and black wires and the blue wire jumper is set to 24v. I have not changed any parameters in the config file in regards to the cooling fan. I have a 12v 4010 fan I would like to temporarily use to bench test on the printer MCU configuration before I dig into the tool head wire loom and permanently install a new 4028. (Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated)

I’m running an BTT Octopus V1.1 MCU.

I just did, I got the fan back on, it was a bad wire. I also sorted out the 0-100 issue. Now the parts cooling fan kicks on during a print at 100% and cools down the hot end causing kipper to shut down. The hot end heater cannot overcome the cooling from the parts cooling fan.

Not sure I did not look for a fan setting in PSLICER.

I will look into it and revert back, thanks!

Will do, this is my first Klipper machine, I have a PRUSA but this definitely a steep learning curve. I’m thinking the 4028 server fan is overkill for my setup considering its cooling capabilities overpowers the hot end. Would it be better to run a smaller fan or is it better to run the 4028 and a lower load?

Ok looks like the fan settings in the PSlicer is the issue. MIN and MAX was defaulted to 100/100, fairly confident I will get this sorted but that will have to wait until Monday.

The 4028 fan is fine. You have to tune your slicer profile like normal
