Can you fetch and post /var/log/ratos-configurator.log and ~/printer_data/logs/configurator.log ?
I've heard this happened on some of the clone boards
But never got a log so i could see why

It might need to be updated for this to work properly

Hmm it looks correct, it should eventually fail and ask if you want to reflash. I've added a small change that makes sure it doesn't keep retrying, maybe that helps. Should be available to update in 5 minutes.
So in 5 minutes, update it through mainsail and then try again.

As far as i can tell everything is doing what it's supposed to be doing, you're just not presented with the option to reflash
It should fail at the screen you posted a screenshot of and say:
Klipper doesn't seem to be running on your board, which may indicate faulty firmware or a faulty board. Please
check your board and try flashing it again.
And then there should be a link to flash it
Then you can click "automatic flashing" and it'll flash the board
