I am using HD60S+ (2 cards actually) for two years now, daily, several hours a day (from 4 to 15) for both streaming and recording and I havent encounter any issue yet.

Tho my recording thing I tried for my PS2 looked kinda sus anyways and it had a vent as if it was like supposed to get hot and yeah, I tried it out, it fugging melted on me lol

But if it doesn't get hot, I just "lift" everything anyways for practice of cooling electronics since it'd be better to have it working and not hot than not working and hot :P

Ofc it isn't "gonna be forever" but also j don't think Elgato is other tech companies and purposefully shorten the life of products just they can push and Shill the next thing out of the machine even if that new thing is kind of worse than the old one

It won't "break" being unplugged, dry, in the box, and not being moved around, ever. However, in 10 years will the driver's be available? Will it work on 10 years from now's OS? No one can answer that question.

I'm not sure that type of cable exists, when I look for it on Amazon its just adapters that won't work with a CamLink

Any idea why when I press a hotkey switch on my stream deck, it activates it like 10 times per second? I have it for muting a mic and it unmutes and mutes like 10 times a second.

What was wrong with the HD60S+ ? If it did not work properly on your system I doubt the 4K60S+ will
Is it for streaming ? 4K60S+ is not the best card for that purpose due to the internal delay (and the fact that most people stream at 720p/1080p anyway)
For dual stream setup using external capture card, HD60S+ and HD60X are good ones and should work if your laptop has the minimum requirement specs.

For recording, 4K60S+ could work since you can record internally without the need of an external computer

I read the HD60 S+ has trouble capturing a display coming from a PC, especially when there are multiple monitors involved? The laptop definitely meets the minimal specs. I was able to get OBS to recognize the hd60 s+ as a source but but nothing but a black screen

None of our devices support the PS2/3 anymore because they're HDCP encrypted so they cant share signal through our devices. Also the 3DS doesn't natively output, so you'd have to use mods, which again aren't supported

Hello,
I have a Elgato HD60S which outputs a weird noise sound. (When using with a Chat Link cable)
Today i bought a HD60S+, and the noise sound still was there.
I changed the HDMI, Chatlink and USB cables multiple Times, tried the Audio/HDMI Input on three PC's. But even if I unplug the Chat Link Cable, the noise won't stop.
I have already installed/updated the drivers for my PC's, disconnected all my USB Devices, etc.
How can I fix this?

That’s expected. The chat link only captures audio from the console. You’ll need a mic connected to the computer to capture commentary

Checked Video Output Settings in the PS4 and everything is on Auto and I have tried to reboot. I am also aware 4k Capture and OBS don't work together. I have not checked drivers which drivers should I check?

Not sure if I have an issue or if its how its intended to work but I am not able to output sound to my speakers with my Wave 3 connected to the PC.
If I set the Monitor Mix in Wave Link to my speakers all sound output stops.
Returning it to my headphones that are plugged into the back of the wave 3 then outputs sound again
If I unplug my Wave 3 the sound then comes out my speakers with no issues.

I've used a third party recording thing before I realized Xbox gamer bar exists, and and then saved on the device so the moment it crashes are you turn your computer off it ends the recording in like done some tech thing whatever to save it

if it’s a driver’s issue, reach out to your mobo manufacturer, have them check it out. Bios/Drivers update can help, and as for storing on the elgato capture card, only one that can do that is 4K60S+ with a SD card. Other’s will only save what you rec. directly to pc, if a shutdown happens, more than likely a file could be stored until that end point, or become corrupted. Best to check, and open a support ticket should this corruption occur with #official-tech-support

Hello! I have a dual pc setup (one gaming one streaming) and I just purchased an Elgato HD60 S+ to capture my game and transfer it into obs on my second pc. I have 3 monitors, two hooked up to my gaming pc and one on my streaming pc. When I plugged the capture card into my computers it created a third monitor on my gaming pc. This is fine, I understand it will appear as a monitor on my pc, however on my gaming pc when I add the capture card as a Video Capture Device, it shows the video of this third monitor the Elgato created (a screen in which I don't have). Basically my OBS is showing the wrong monitor. Is there any way to fix this?

Honestly, I use OBS to rec. and save my files where needed. Elgato software can save where you want, but make sure you label your rec. so you know which one it is. If you don’t label it you have to scroll each one till you find it.

create an audio input in obs for your capture card, and monitor and output it. As for the video source, turn monitor off in the audio mixer. Should fix it.

Hello everyone! I hope you're all having a great Friday wherever you are! I am trying to add separate audio tracks in OBS while using Wave Link so I can record my stream while having different audio channels in the records. I have followed Elgato's instructions on how to add the channels and separete the audio tracks in OBS. However, when I stream, my audio is all over the place. Meaning, the audio from the outputs I've added to OBS are also being broadcasted. Maybe there is a step which is not in the instructions that I need to do in order to be able to stream and record at the same time while recording audio in different channels but not having them interfere with the Wave Link output to the stream? Appreciate everyone's time and help on this. If you think I should reach to OBS gurus separetly, please, let me know.

Ok here's a fun question about streamdeck+voicemod.
I use wavelink and OBS.

I'd like for the a single hold of a streamdeck button not only to activate the voicemod voicechanger, like it already does, but I'd also like that to unmute the voicemod virtual microphone channel and mute my normal microphone channel.

reason: voicemod adds a delay and I use it very sporadically so I'd still like to keep using my normal microphone normally

Hi everyone, curious to see if anyone else has the issue I am currently having.

Recently moved from a Dual PC Setup, and back to one machine. Had some video issues with my Cam Link Pro so decided to make the switch. Anyways, everything seems to be fine now except for that the Microphone seems to be having issues.

I keep getting occasional pops and crackling. Not sure why this is happening since it didn't happen previously. It is a new install of Wave Link and I updated the firmware to 1.2.2, so that might be the cause? I tested with an old Yeti Mic I had and the issue was not present.

I have tried looking through OBS and Wave Link logs, but couldn't decipher them to see what the issue may be. I went through OBS to see if there were Sample Rate conflicts, but doesn't seem so. I uninstalled version 1.5.0 of Wave Link and installed 1.4.0, but it did not seem to affect anything.

Tried looking online but couldn't seem to find anything on the matter, but couldn't find similar issues. It sounds like something to do with the audio buffer, but increasing the size didn't help. At this point I am at a bit of a loss and don't really know where else to go.

Sorry for the wall of text btw, and also lmk if videos aren't allowed, wasn't sure but it's an example of my issue.

Been using HD60 with game capture HD on my mac for almost four years now with no problems. Few months ago i moved, and TL;DR ive had to relocate my capture setup to capture with my laptop rather than my mac.

Finally getting around to setting it up on the laptop & after an hour of trying everything i could find on google. restarting, checking for updates, unplugging & replugging everything back in—and every combination thereof—that laptop's game capture HD will not recognize my HD60 at all. I don't have another computer i can try, and suffice to say even if i did it is still absolutely paramount that i get this specific laptop to work with this capture card. Any suggestions of something outside the realm of the standard troubleshooting list?

both the laptop's USB ports work just fine btw. tested that. and while running the standard capture rig, the game is functioning normally on the television even while the laptop is claiming no capture card detected.

If that's the sole purpose of the 4K capture utility, why is it a "fully featured" streaming app? My understanding is, the "Game Capture" software, is to be considered replaced by the "4K Capture Utility", not just to be a pure settings application. It might be the way many people USE the 4K Capture Utility, but I don't think that's the intention of the software. If it was, they would just release a much smaller and more simple settings utility.

Also you don't need anything but plugging in the capture device, and you're ready to stream in OBS.

Well, the Windows 11 upgrade test software says my PC is 8 years old, and it might be just about that age.. It works for streaming what I need, but can't be used for much else at the same time. So a lighter application for just some quick preview, is nice. 😉

I'm not streaming on a regular basis, and a PC upgrade is on the list of things I need to get done in the future.. And as long as I can do what I want at the moment, it's fine. I'm able to have a webcam, a couple of overlay videos, microphone + discord audio and HDMI capture. The CPU is around 80-90%, which is enough. I could probably do a lot by just changing from 60 fps to 30fps, but when playing, I don't need the computer much anyway. 😉

The problem you are facing is that streaming requires resources. It is not a resource light activity. SO you are going to have to experiment to see if one works better than another on your older pc.

I have heard of people having this issue before but never experienced it myself. I would remove the authentication account in the stream deck software. Remove the authorization from Twitch itself. reboot. Add back both auths.

Hey got a weird one i was wondering if anyone could help. Okay so everything is acting correctly with my stuff plugged in, except it wont show up on any OBS i use, even Elgato's itself. And it says that it needs a 3.0 USB port to work, and i have a 3.0 and its just acting like it isnt and im getting zero visual data on my laptop on any of the streaming things

OK. I updated the firmware. Then I changed the sample rate to 96 and it sounded awful. Changed it back to 48 and it seems to be working now.

You can change sample rate by holding Control while opening the drop down for the mic setting in WaveLink.

Hey I am having an audio issue. I've used me Elgato with no problems. But the sound suddenly stopped working. I'm not sure if something happened in the settings that I am not sure how to fix. Sound works fine on my console, but linking my two computers together, there is no sound. It is set up properly and I have game visual on OBS, just no game sound. So I'm not sure what's up.

I use a Cannon SL2, but I've had it setup for so long I'm trying to remember the steps. But, might depend on what setting you're using on the camera. I don't think it's a the camlink. On the mode dial I'm currently on Tv if that helps.

Head into your Epic Games library. You’ll notice after right-clicking any game that’s already installed, you’ll get an option to create a desktop shortcut. Right click on the the shortcut and go to properties, Copy the command and put it in an Open action command text field.

hey im trying to figure out a way to plug my iphone into my computer (or computer speaker) and have the iphone take the audio output from my computer as an input on the iphone. Basically so on TikTok live I could have my audio input be whats coming from my computer instead of the built in iphone microphone. I'm trying to do this as a workaround because I don't have a stream key on tiktok but I want my tiktok live stream to have the same audio as my twitch stream broadcasting from my computer.

Hello, I just got a streamdeck a week or so ago. I am having trouble getting connectivity between the stream deck and wave link. Everytime i press a wave link control button on the stream deck it shows a yellow triangle. When i go to the stream deck app it says please launch wave link, but it is open. Any suggestions?

Hi! I feel like I might be missing something obvious, so... quick sanity check, am I supposed to be able to use a single WiFi network adapter on PC to connect to the internet AND manage Key Lights via Control Center? I can only get a connection to the Key Lights if I use an Ethernet adapter to connect to the internet and reserve the WiFi adapter exclusively for the Key Lights. Is this a known limitation, or an obscure issue?

Hi, I was wondering if i could get some help with my capture card. I have a HD 60. It isn't showing up in device manager at all, I have uninstalled and re-installed the drivers continuously since yesterday and it still isn't showing up in device manager. When I connect the capture card to my tv with a hdmi cable from its output port, it shows up on the tv completely fine, so i don't think it is an issue with the device itself. But, I am not sure what to do in order to make it show up in my device manager and would appreciate any help

I've been trying to capture footage of MLB the Show 22 but every time I try to play the game with the game capture that I have, the HD60 S+, the game produces no sound and I'm not sure why. I have HDR turned off on my PS5 so I'm not really sure what the issue is. Any help is appreciated

Hey guys, can anyone help me please? 🙏 Do I have to do anything special to capture game screen window (only) whilst using the Fightcade emulator. All I get is a blank black screen. Capturing the whole monitor and resizing works but I don't want to do it that way. Other than this, my newly bought Elgato HD60 X captures everything else perfectly.

I tried that already, unfortunately with a similar result. :/ So far, this is what I've been trying:

• Reset the Key Lights
• Remove the Key Lights from the connected devices list in my router
• Check for new devices in Control Center. All of them are recognized at this point.
• I select a Key Light to add, select the network to add the Key Light to, enter password, click connect
• The network I'm connected to changes to the Key Light in question, then to the network I selected (which is the same I was initially connected to)
• Around a minute of wait
• Control Center says "Connection failed. Can't find blabla in network blabla." on PC, "Accessory not found. Please try connecting blabla again." on phone
• In the connected devices in my router's UI, the Key Light shows up, has an IP, etc. I can't ping the IP. (When connected via Ethernet, I can ping the IP.)
• If I check for new devices in Control Center again at this point, the Key Light I just added no longer shows up.

Is there anything obviously wrong with how I'm going about this? Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Thank you, that gave me some search terms to use and I found an article that mentions that initial setup requires a network on the 2.4GHz band (https://help.elgato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360027959792-Key-Light-Pair-using-Windows). Both of the devices I tried this on were connected via 5GHz. I temporarily switched the 5GHz band entirely off in my router, just to be safe in case that makes a difference, verified I'm connected via 2.4GHz and tried to set up a Key Light again. Unfortunately, same end result. Restarting the WiFi adapter as suggested by the Control Center dialog doesn't change anything. Entering the IP manually fails with the same error message.

Is this the "2.4ghz issue" you mentioned, or am I heading in a completely wrong direction?

Stream Decks can't use hubs and should be plugged directly into the motherboard. Other Elgato products are specific to that product.

I am assuming this is a stream deck since you didn't say. Make sure it is plugged in to a USB 2.0 port directly into the motherboard. You cannot use a USB 3.x port or a USB hub. After changing to this, reboot. If you are already setup this way, open an #official-tech-support ticket to see if this is a hardware issue.

Yeah that's my fault. It is a stream deck normal size. not mini or xl, and it's the older version. It's already set up the way you described so i'll open up a ticket.

I found the problem source. Completely mundane. :/ My router defaults to not allowing connected WiFi devices to communicate among each other. I flipped that, now everything works as intended. I'm unsure if anything else contributed to resolving it, but thanks for your time and suggestions in either case! :)

When I try to connect them to the streamdeck it shows me discovering nanoleaf all the time. Does anyone know of this problem and has it been fixed or do I have to press something to connect them?

Hi, I have a question about the Wave software. Usually my master volume for my PC is 32, however when I click on the wave software it makes my master volume 12, this only happens when I click on the software and when I click off of it it goes back to 32, is there a way to stop this, I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the software. Also discord chats are really low even on 200%, I noticed this since the most recent update of the software, it wasn't like this before. Thanks
