Capture cards aren’t necessary for single pc setups. If OBS is already lagging a card might make it worse by using more of your computers resources, so I wouldn’t recommend one.

Capture card has all default settings being run through the 4K Capture Utility program and the audio is all run through the Elgato Wave Link software.

it look like an hdr issue, but on your capture card, can you turn hdr off? see if that helps, vs console?

So even the HD60 requires win 10 and a 4th gen, I think the only capture card that may work for you is the OG Game Capture HD, but they are really hard to find

Hey im trying to setup my Key Light Air and connect it to my Router but when trying to join them into the Network on my Iphone im getting an unexpected error Message. Couldnt find anything that helped online

To go into detail, the process is that the phone is waiting for my network, then it say "waiting for keylight" the keylight switches on and off and then i get the error

Hello there everyone, I’m having an issue with my HD60 X. Well for one is the audio delay. I’m running it through OBS.
Second, now I can not change my resolution settings on my Xbox series x above 1080p 120fps.

No, but you could use the stream deck as an alternative if you have one. Set the mic out of reach so you won’t bump it and use the stream deck buttons

there a re a lot of factors, and pc specs and power bandwidth is also a factor. make sure your bios/drivers are up to date, and check to see if faulty hdmi cables.

I've eventually reached out here after trouble shooting myself.
I have the HD60s+ capture card, using a Macbook pro - ive been streaming with it successfully for ages now and on the weekend it decides to tell me I need to make sure its plugged into a USB 3 port (which it is)

Any advice/solution of anyone who has had the same issue?

Hey everyone, this might sound ridiculously easy, but I've got a streamdeck and wave mic and I'm looking for a way to mute the mic as a whole from the streamdeck.
So I dont have to use the built in button on the microphone, but I cant seem to find it.

The settings in wave link inside the streamdeck only cover muting outputs and changing gain etc. Am I blind or is there no universal mute that turns on the red ring on the mic?

When I got and installed my 3rd Stream Deck XL (seriously why y'all don't sponsor me is crazy ), I get this whenever I start my computer (often multiple times) even though I'm already linked to YouTube. When I go to link it again I get this error screen even though the internet is fine. depending on your capture card, you ether need one, or you don't. not all capture cards are compatible with all consoles. hence a splitter may be needed to capture the gameplay, or audio.

Once they are all plugged into USB 2.0 ports directly into the motherboard and you have rebooed. Remove the accounts from the Stream Deck AND from their associated services. Reboot. Re-add the accounts.

So remove the stream plugin. Remove the stream deck auth inside Discord. Reboot. Reinstall the plugin. Reauthorize. This should fix it.

Well I didn't write the plugin so I can't fix it, Elgato wrote it. So, submit an #official-tech-support ticket. I have never had this issue occur. So I don't have first hand experience for what is causing your PC to behave that way versus how it behaves in mine.

If your source is full (like a computer) set it to full
If your source is partial (like some old gen console) set it to partial

Full color range to capture new gen console and computer works pretty well with HD60X compared to HD60S+ (I personally switched from partial to full with HD60X but I keep using partial with HD60S+)

hey there. im setting up wave link, and i've encountered some issues. i use both ear buds and my headset (wireless, Steelseries Arctis 7), depending on the situation.

what is happening is that everything works perfectly when im using the apple ear buds, however, when using my wireless headset, the program freezes and there is no output to it. any clue? i couldnt find anything regarding this online

I’ve had to redo the tweet, and then test it out. I think there is a timed limit before you can do the tweet again.

the only thing I’m aware of with Artics headsets is if wireless, and no usb mode there is an audio delay 1-3 secs. If your headset has a usb mode, use that. A headset shouldn’t make a pc slow. Are you running any software for the headset?

The capture card sends a video stream to the PC, the same way a webcam would. If that's "passing the signal through", then that's what it does. Some of the Elgato capture devices has an SD-Card slot, allowing you to record to the SD-Card for editing later.

I'm using an HD60S+, and it was working fine until today. I upgraded to the latest version today and now suddenly 4K Capture Utility only shows a black screen even though my TV shows the gameplay just fine (Tried it with my Switch and PS5). I tried uninstalling 4k capture utility and reinstalling the version I had before (1.7.5) and same thing happens. On OBS it's displaying fine, and on my TV its showing fine, its just 4k capture utility its showing a black screen. I also tried uninstalling the HD60S+ device drivers and reinstalling it, enabling/disabling it in device manager, I even swapped out all the hdmi cables I'm using for the setup. Anyone have any ideas?

Hey guys!
I've been having problems with hotkeys. They won't work unless streamdeck is running in admin mode.
So I run it as admin and all dandy.
BUT
This means stupid Windows doesn't run it at startup so I have to manually start it every time I boot the PC. Not cool.
So I found a solution, I set it up in Task Scheduler to run and voila!
But...
It doesn't show up in the system tray so I can't access its settings if I do this.
What gives?

None, generally speaking. Usually running it as admin only leads to massive issues since the data is now stored in the normal user profile AND the admin profile. The normal user can't read the info from the Admin profile and your Stream Deck will start to have a lot of issues.

It is a terrible decision to run the Stream Deck software as admin.

This is why I ask really. That and anything the app spawns will also be elevated, which is a security nightmare.
If there is something that they need admin access for, its the something that needs fixing or working around

people have issues in certain scenarios with hotkeys...

- if an app is running as admin, hotkeys from the normal user will not work.

- Some apps take control over the keyboard (games usually), the solution is to run in "borderless window" mode.

if you heed these 2 scenarios you will not run into any issues

Your normal windows user is not the admin user. You have made the software run in the Admin user profile. Your normal Windows users does not have permission to modify the admin user or see it's applications.

The only way to undo what you have done is to uninstall and reinstall btw with admin privs.

If I recall correctly you are having an issue using F13-24 in OBS. If that's correct, use different hotkeys rather than running the Stream Deck software as admin.

The issue is with OBS, not the Stream Deck software

According to the OBS documentation: "certain hotkeys are disabled for compatibility reasons"

You can also try this: In OBS, Go to Settings > Advanced tab. At the bottom check if hotkeys are set to disable when the window in in main focus. If so, You can set it to never disable.

Also, check that input monitoring is turned on in OBS.

Currently, based on what I've read from your post, you can't. You are running mixed between admin and normal user.

You can back up your profiles and import them after a reinstall. But you would need to reinstall your plugins from the plugin store.

Would the would the recording on the device be corrupted/gone or does it "store" it on the device and be unaffected?

Depends on your budget which capture card. I use a HD60s for gameplay, a chat link cable for party chat (get the pro version, if you don't want to buy something on top of it), cam link for dslr. What DSLR do you have? I use a Nikon D3500, for that there's a bunch of extra work. I also had to get a HDMI to HDMI mini for that too. I think you also have to invest in a seperate USB mic to capture your voice too.

anyone have issues where your stream deck software would go nonresponsive when you try to edit a button config? Specifically related atm to twitch plugin and using the send txt chat feature? I use it for shout outs and save me time and typing etc with the preconfigured commands for some community streamers who come in frequently with raids etc...wiped out the software, did reinstall, same issue, wiped out the profiles redid them, same issue..I drag a chat command type feature for sending a txt to chat and the button shows up on my deck but not on the software, and the software goes nonresponsive.

Has anyone made a plugin yet to add 'Action Switch' for Stream Deck? Multi action switch is slow, and has a big annoying green confirmation mark on it which is pointless when just switching between two individual macro actions.

Look into Barraider's Super Macro plugin. BTW, we pretty much ALL hate the green check mark. But, Elgato refuses to listen and has now put it on EVERY button with no way to disable it (in the Beta version). In the #stream-deck-beta channel, they have said it's here to stay and won't be removed. 🥴

I have vacation coming up - might just do it then. I've had StreamDeck for years, and their updates have been disappointing. The idea is good - but the software never really was. It has been a bunch of bandaid solutions to try and get it working how I'd want most of the time - and a lot of it has been carried by simply moving the requirements that Stream Deck didn't live up - out of the software.

So it's probably overdue anyway.

The idea of Stream Deck is great - and for most usecases it's probably more than adequate. But when you start pushing the envelope just a bit I feel like it falls short in terms of convenience and functionalities.

Plugins do help some - but fundamentals that I'd have expected just never showed up. Like having Hotkey Switch macro, but for some reason not having a Action Switch macro. Strange. They have a Multi Action & Multi Action Switch macro though.

I've not tried Beta. But now you're telling me that all the flaws an nuisances that come with the Multi Action stuff, is going to be universal.

Anyone else experiencing mic loudness/gain resetting on Wave Link since 1.5?

So I just got my new 4k60 pro and I'm trying to stream my ps5 through it

I use it to play on pc my just using the preview

the problem is that I'm trying to get the performance mode on uncharted 4 which is supposed to change the settings from 4k30 to 1080p60 but the option isn't there

I had this problem when I had my old capture card which was an hd60 pro and I assumed the option wasn't there because it wasn't a 4k card but now that I do have one, I don't understand why the option still isn't there

I have all the components to achieve this option yet I don't know why it's still not there

i got the 4k 60 pro, I'm using a 2.1 hdmi cable, and I have a 4k 144hz monitor

I just got a hd60 s for my nintendo switch. Ever since i hooked everything up the colors on my switch look kinda "pixely" or washed out. But the colors in the elgato game capture software look perfectly fine. I have all the resolution settings on the max. If anyone knows why this is happening please let me know

Hi I just got an HD60 and need help installing the drivers

I have the 4k60pro it records in 4k but only streams the ps4 pro and ps5 1080p 50fps surprisingly the xb1x at 120fps and switch at 1080p 60fps which blows my mind. I just recently got the hd60x that runs at what u want for the ps5 but im having a issue with it and seems like know one can ans or just don't wanna ans the sound is mad staticky or my words mad crunchy

Its not compatible with the cam link u have to use the Canon program eos utility make sure its up to date tho

It's compatible because it works on my mac just fine.

As soon as I plug it in my macbook, it works instantly. But my PC just won't read the cam link.

The cam link doesn’t work with my SL2 either or my friends Sony 5100. But it works on my mac just fine.

I don't have a Mac and I was trying myself I got it working for like 3 seconds and nothing I gave up I told u what I was using for it and then bought the facecam which is sooooo dope and I'm just using the cam to learn photography

i know a workaround, but in OBS, not with the elgato software, but in obs you can rec. and stream.

ok, in OBS, the video capture, you want to mute, and add an audio input, and select your capture card. the audio will work fine. make sure to monitor and output the audio source.

it says it allows for 240hz passthrough up to 1080p

from what i know and my own experience (in windows):

i have a 1440p270hz monitor currently, and if i were to "duplicate" the display contents to another display that is (for example) 30hz, the main display i'm duplicating from also drops down to 30hz because windows

as this is one that slots directly into a pcie slot of another computer (like a streaming pc for example), how does that hdmi passthrough work

does this game capture mk2 act as a secondary display or does it send a passthrough signal to the pc it's connected to, making it so that the display it is showing not clock down to 240hz

Just general PS2 repair I forgot how to do, uh when tightening the uh reading Lazer, what Amp or whatever read is a good level?

Somehow now it only takes GT, but any other disk it just can't read.... It's boggling my mind since Gran Turismo 1 came out for the PS1, and yet now my PS2 is struggling to read games made for that console while it can read my PS1 game just fine

And side note, yes I've looked it up, done the amps of other videos, and other consoles even but it can somehow only read my racing game??? It's making me go crazy over this :P

As long as idk you're in a +100 F room, recording long long times and little breaks, that might "ware" it but it'd last Ionger in normal conditions lol

I mean, seeming it's good tech, my friend has owned one for like 3 years, I'd say if they include warranty, that's a good call sign of how long it'll last

Idk the "shelf life" but I'd assume they aren't doing planned obsolescence so probably I don't know 5 maybe 10 years?
