i rebooted my pc, and the plugins im using (or WAS... because i cant restore my backup i made. the backup is on my desktop, but stream deck desktop doesnt seem to "see" it for whatever reason) are:

• Streamlabs Desktop (all of them)
• Twitch (non-studio) for ad, followers/emote chat, chat message (for my twitch and 3rd party emotes)
• the Media buttons for music (under Streamlabs)

but neither are still working. even after the reboot and reauthentication. and it is starting to annoy me! 😦

and then its (once again) taking several minutes for me to be redirected. even if i click the blue "here", nothing happens 😦

i honestly am not sure, if that's going to work out. because a Part Number is apparently needed, even though i never have owned a physical Stream Deck, only the mobile version. and furthermore, i don't even know the length of it! so my best bet/guess is, that i can just unsubscribe from my mobile version and don't use it again. the mobile version had served me for 3 years, maybe even longer

For some reason, streamdeck is not doing hotkey shortcuts properly.

The shorcut I'm triggering, is CTRL+ SHIFT+ALT+F11

When it's running normally, if I actually press the shortcut on my keyboard, the app that's supposed to receive the shortcut (Snap camera) works

But when I press the streamdeck button, nope

Now, if I run streamdeck as ADMIN

The shortcut stops working even if I press the keys on the keyboard....

Hmmm. Actually only the BarRaider version is misbehaving. The native elGato one works. Solved I guess.

Could anyone help me at all perhaps?
I have an Elgato HD60 Pro in my streaming PC.
My gaming rig's secondary HDMI output is plugged to the HD60 input, the primary DisplayPort is plugged only into my gaming monitor.
I've been using OBS to stream the results with no issue until today.
A viewer tells me my game has no audio.
I check Sound Capture on the gaming rig, and it's set to play audio on both my sound card and the HD60, as it always is
But audio isn't showing up on it's VU meter, and obviously not in OBS on my streaming rig.
Windows update did mess with this just the other day, but I already fixed that.
I haven't changed anything else.

Hello - I was trying to help a friend fix their audio earlier. they use a Wave 3 and it looked like the Stream Mix audio wasn't coming through. The audio signal was only coming through the Monitor Mix. So when we set the Audio input in OBS to "Wave Stream" nothing came through. All of the audio inputs in WaveLink were unmuted/had volume. But still...nothing coming through the stream mix. Anyone know why that might be?

Hello guys, i have a problem with HD60 S and my switch that occurs very often : When i open OBS sometimes it shows itself but sometimes it doesn't. Plus, sometime when it does shows up, the sound isn't synchronize at all and I have to relaunch OBS or Plug/Unplug the HDMI:usb from the HD60 S. i don't know if anyone has had this problem, but it seems so random, i have voice fx in wave link, for some reason it started to use like all of my gpu, literally 100%, but it was like 100% for a moment, and then 0% and then 70%, and i started to get crackling audio in everything. usually with voice fx it uses like 10% of the gpu, it was so weird, i don't know what the hell did i do to fix it but it's fix now i guess, i desconnected the wave 3 and the program crashed, restarted the pc and that work lol, but still, so weird, my guess is that is a bug related to voice fx, since is the most recent update, just wanted to share this

When you light the screen, you would like to light it, and your subject (Like yourself) in a way, that eliminates shadows. Any shadow on the green screen, will make keying harder. More light sources, makes it easier to eliminate the shadows, but if you don't mind a bit of extra fiddling around, you can get away with a single light source. I believe a setup with separate lightning for the screen, would give the best results.

Well, you can build it up over time. Also I've seen people with a single light source have great results, but they had to do some more work than just add the keying filter and select the color.

Also for some people there's quite some distance between the ideal setup, and a "good enough for me" setup..

The only thing to be aware of, is you might need to work a bit more with the settings, if you go for a less than ideal lighting setup.

For instance, I have a poorly lit room, and have used a greenscreen with just the natural lightning from the outside, and my room lighting (A single Philips hue ambience bulb), with success.

If you have the available resources on your PC, XSplit vCam can do wonders in regards to lighting compensation. 😉

But if your goal is to just light up your face, you can probably get by with a single keylight they are a bit out of my price range, compared to how much I'd actually use them, so no idea how bright they are, but from what I've heard, it's brighter than most will ever need. 😉

I'd assume if you position it in front of you, a bit from the top, it would be good enough, or put it on full blast and point it towards the wall (Assuming a white wall behind the computer) and let the light reflect off the wall towards you. It can make the light a bit softer, and also not be annoying to your eyes. 😉

It really depends on how big a burden on your budget it will be. If money is not a real issue, you can get a better result, if you can position the light right, but if the compensation XSplit vCam can do, is good enough, and money is a problem, I would investigate that option first.. Provided your computer has the power to handle the extra load.

But I'd say you could put the light right in front of you, that would reduce the shadows it'll cast, but it will also be straining on your eyes. Putting it to one of the sides, would be better for your eyes, but will cast shadows. However, that can be sort of mitigated by adjusting the intensity of the light.

But judging from the color of the wall, at least in the picture, reflecting off the wall, might not be the best option.

im not sure on the exact power but its the one that came with my samsung m7 monitor for type c to type c display connections so it definitely is a good one. i swapped from a usb to usb c since it was affecting video output. i have set the elgato as an additional mic in settings and i believe it sounds better

Well, nowhere do you mention what software you use with the capture card.. Elgato has 2 different pieces of software. And many uses 3rd party software as well. The capture driver is NOT the one making the PIP.

I am having abit of a problem, when i setup a webcam source button on my stream deck XL, it works both ways like if i setup my webcam button to turn on and off only on my announment screen, it also turns it off and on also on my gaming scean as well when i use it for xsplit, how can i fix that from not happening

Sounds more like a XSplit issue.. However, in OBS you work only with sources on the streamdeck, the same source can be used in multiple scenes, and disabling the source will disable it in all scenes using it. For OBS you can get a plugin that allows you to duplicate the source, and solve the "problem" that way, no idea if XSplit has the same options.

If it reappears, to through the settings for the Nvidia software you have installed. GForce Experience has some overlay stuff, might be related to that. I don't have an RTX card, so do not the broadcast software, but from the screens I can see, there's nothing related to an overlay, or pip display in there. 😉

can someone help me. i bought an new pc yesterday with elgato 4k60 pro. i've installed the 4k utility but i keep getting no signal on the 4k utility. obs also won't work. i've updated the firmware, reinstalled the utility multiple times, unplugged the hdmi cables multiple times and cables are hdmi 2.0. i have hdmi converter between the xbox series x and elgato so i can use my surround set. but even tried skipping the converter to see if thats the problem but the problem stays. i got image on tv but the 4k utility it wont work

If the device you connect to the input of the card, is using HDCP you can experience no signal, as the card can not decrypt it. If possible, disable HDCP or try another device, eg. a computer, to verify the card an software is working.

Have you tried reseating the card? I don't know how passthru is handled, but if they handle that in hardware, it is possible the card has power, but the signal is not properly connected. Just taking it out, and putting it back in should make sure it's properly seated. (If you're comfortable opening the PC, and taking out the card, that is)

If not, try contacting ElGato support, or the place you bought the computer from.

Where I live, it's best to contact the store first, for what could possibly be a warranty case, but rules are different in other countries.

Hey, im trying to stream my phone to my PC.
I bought a elgato HD60 X and a usb-c to HDMI cable
the moment i plug everything in my phone starts lagging but doest give any videooutput
ive heard that i need a USB-C to HDMI adapter, a HDMI converter to bypass the hdcp on the phone.

HDCP will need to be disabled, but you should be able to disable that on the phone. Your USB-C->HDMI cable should be the adaptor you need. Try it on a TV/Monitor directly, to make sure it works as expected. The phone could also be outputting a format not understood by the capture card.

With Wave Link 1.5 adding the ability to copy-paste VST filters from one device to other ones, I've encountered a bug with the ReaPlugs EQ (and possibly other) filters
I set up a 10 band EQ with that filter, then copy that filter to other devices, but the copied version only retains the first 4 bands
The ReaPlugs EQ filter by default has 4 bands before you configure it yourself, but the copy operation does copy the settings for those first 4 bands
I just don't want to set up the 6 other bands for all the other devices that I listen to

That's probably not going to help. The solution is an answer you won't like: Stop sleeping your computer. Windows deactivates USB devices when asleep and rarely wakes them up correctly. It's fine for non-interactive devices like a mouse or keyboard. But for something like a Stream Deck you are asking for issues.

Not to mention, sleeping a windows PC is a bad idea, period. Windows needs to cleared of zombie processes, leaky applications, etc. It should be rebooted at a minimum before you use it for anything important. You will notice a more stable and higher performance experience.

It's an extremely unpopular answer, but it is the reality.

Hello. I bought an Elgato Pedal after being told it does 'push to talk.' However the streamdeck discord integration 'push to talk' button seems to be 'hold to unmute' and puts you on mute when you let go. This is quite different from 'push to talk' which has you off mute but only transmitting when you hold the button. Right now if I set it to 'push to talk' I have to both hold the pedal AND my push to talk button in order to talk. As I'd like both buttons to do the same thing, how can I fix this?

The Elgaton device I am using, is the Elgato Game Capture Card HD, a device that was recommended in various YouTube tutorials I've been watching. I've followed the steps on how to hook up my Elgato properly as discussed on two different videos. However, neither OBS, nor Discord are recognizing that there is a game hooked up to the Elgato, despite that OBS recognizes that an Elgato is hooked up. The Game Capture HD software, however, doesn't even recognize that an Elgato is hooked up.

My SNES is working just fine, and is currently looping the attraction mode/opening, the graphics look fine, and the audio is playing well. But I am unable to stream.

The A/V-in socket, is hooked into a male-to-male RCA cable set (red/white/yellow), these male-to-male RCA cables are plugged into a female-to-female RCA y-splitters, which are plugged into both the SNES, and the AV (red/white/yellow) jacks into my TV.

I am using the setup recommended to me, by videos showing me how to hook up the Elgato to a SNES console. The rest of the recommendations were for the SNES mini, which has different hookups than the original SNES.
The SNES doesn't have a peripheral for an HDMI cable.

A couple things that don't seem right with this:

1. A Y-splitter should be duplicating the signal from the end with 1 connection toward the end that splits into 2 connections. The way he described doesn't seem like the cable is sending any signal to the TV
2. Most TVs need male connections from the cables to connect to the female inputs found on the TV so it wouldn't be possible to connect those female RCA cables from one of the split to the female inputs on the TV

okay, so a few questions just to clarify:

okay, so from least complicated to most, Twitch only allows for clips up to 1 minute in length, but you can create a stream marker and then manually go into the vod and make a highlight or setup a half-hour replay buffer in OBS and add a hotkey to save that buffer recording and upload it back to twitch as a highlight (also gives the benefit of being able to upload that same clip to YouTube if you want)

To enable the replay buffer you'll need to go into your OBS settings, in the output section go to recording and turn on "Enable Replay Buffer", then you can set the length of the buffer.
To make sure that the replay buffer is running while you stream go into settings and check the box at General -> Output -> "Automatically start replay buffer when streaming"

Once the replay buffer has been enabled make sure you hit "Apply" then go to Hotkeys -> Replay Buffer" and set whatever key combination you want there.
Make sure that OBS will accept hotkeys even when it's running in the background by going to Advanced -> Hotkeys -> Hotkey focus behavior and choosing "Never disable hotkeys"

Then you can just setup a hotkey on your StreamDeck from the System category, set it as the same key combination you set in OBS, and you should be good to go. It will automatically save that section as a video file in the same folder you've chosen for regular recordings

For a jumpcut you might want to look into a plugin called "move transition" (you can find it with a quick google search for OBS move), it allows you to make changes to sources with similar names between scenes, including zooms, position changes, all that fun stuff, and then you can just create a scene without the zoom and one with the zoom, then use a regular OBS Scene action to jump between them

Changing the game title is easy but does require setting up the action for the specific category you're changing to ahead of time. The StreamDeck Twitch action "Stream/Game Title" has two fields "Stream Title" and "Game" and when pushed will change your stream information to whatever you've got set there. So it's good for things like if you have a stream title you always use for a specific game or category, but you do have to set it up ahead of time (It won't give you a popup or anything to make changes)

and you can launch any app or open a file by adding the "Open" action from the System section on your Stream Deck and then setting the location of the app by clicking the three dots on the "App/File" field. Hi guys, looking for some help, I just upgraded to the HD60X and I have a very annoying NPC echo (see linked video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-5dUa-MtR0 PS5 linked to an HDMI hub and then the hub goes through the capture card to tv. My talking does not echo but when talking to NPCs it does. During gameplay, there is no echo, but when I check the recording it is there, I have the same issue on obs as with the 4k video capture software. I have uninstalled all Elgato software apart from the steam deck and reinstalled the 4k video capture software used for the HD60X, can anyone help with getting rid of the NPC echo?

Ok so I’ve done everything but I just wanna confirm I Did the clipping right

So I followed the instructions in OBS and added a hot key to the replay buffer

I set up the replay buffer, so to my understanding it’s basically just a second recording of your stream and as it records it is able to save the last few seconds of that recording. Which puts some pressure on the ram.

You mentioned the stream marker. So you’re saying the easy way is to create a multi action with the twitch clip feature and the stream marker feature

And the more intense way is the OBS replay buffer and hot keys ?~

Meaning there’s no need for both?

the replay buffer is basically an ongoing local recording of a set length, it will essentially make a recording up until it hits the length you've set then start dropping the oldest footage to replace with the new stuff and when you trigger that save action (either with the hotkey or the button in OBS) it will save it like a normal recording. It does require some extra ram usage but it's usually not too bad.

the stream marker is just a way to identify when something happened on the actual stream recording on Twitch, which can be useful for making highlights in their own highlight maker or getting the timecode for your local recording if you want to do some of your own editing

you don't need them both, but depending on your process you might want them (the stream marker thing has been a little unreliable for me lately and I've got a ticket open about it so if you don't think you'll need it you might as well remove it)

With a dual pc setup using the 4k60 pro MK.2 I have an issue when I open any game in full screen that it distorts my resolution and it even causes everything on the monitor to get so big that I see it on my other monitor. when I tab out it freezes for 3-6 seconds then fixes it all but the second I open the game back up it does it again.

Hello everybody. I am having some trouble with the Wave Link Software, Wave3 Microphone.
The "Game" channel doesn't seem to work since the recent updates, All the other channels work (Music Browser, Aux 1 and so on).
Wave3 Firmware Version = 1.2.2. Wave Link Software Version 1.5.0.2889. Both updated today (26th May)

Things I've tried so far:-

• Remove channel and re-add.
• Close Wave Link and Re-open.
• Remove channel, close Wave Link, Re-open Wave Link and add channel back.
• Combinations of those with rebooting the PC in between
• Complete uninstall of Wave Link, Reboot PC, reinstall Wave Link, Reboot PC.

No Plug-ins in use either.

Does anybody have any ideas on the problem(s) and fixes?

But all we keep hearing is we're redesigning the app, excuse after excuse for it not being on Android, but it's been over a year already! directly into pc, the cam is working, i can test it in the camera hub and its fine. its just in obs both arent able to be active in obs at the same time. like if i delete one from obs completely, the other will work just fine. ive tried all different usb ports as well

I don’t see any obvious reason why it would lag at all. My cpu usage jumps around 60-70% during a call with several people, and GPU usage jumps around 10-20%. I do experience this same glitching and lagging in the camera hub. I normally set the camera to 1080p30 but lowering the resolution as low as 360p does not impact at all the Issue. Also, if while on call I try to record the screen in parallel the issue does not become worse, indicating that it is not a problem of how much power my computer has.
 
Can you please help me diagnosing this problem? Is the camera broken?

that being said, I don't have a lot of help other than:
-try to test it on another machine and see if it still has the same issue
-try different ports/cables to see if it makes any difference
-check for updates on your macbook
-check for updates in the Camera hub software (if that exists on macbook? Idk)
-try restarting if you haven't already

I tried different EDIDs (About 8, 3 of them from the Elgato support themselves), tried 2 different 1440p 144hz monitors (LG 27GL850 and MSI MAG274QRF-QD), 2 different 4k60Pro MK II capture cards and I am at a 27 mail exchange with the support where they cannot find the issue either. And them replying only once a day doesn't help much 😋

I am at the point where I would like to have a list with compatible monitors where it's been confirmed that the 1440p 144hz works with that monitor. However their does not seems to be a list like this

Hiya. Small (large) problem here with my StreamDeck. I've had this deck over 2 years and never really had a problem with it until today. When I left for work this morning I turned off my PC and the streamdeck was acting normally. When I got home it's stopped working.

Hardware - All 15 keys flash white every 15 seconds. No other display.

What have I done to troubleshoot it:
1 - Checked Streamdeck software to see if the deck was detected (it isn't)
2 - Tried a different USB port, both on board and front IO and USB 2 and 3
3 - Plugged it into a different PC
4 - Attempted to uninstall the device however windows does not even recognise it as a unknown device. (Windows does also not make a sound when the USB is connected like normal)
5 - Checked updates in the software
6 - Completely reset the software to factory settings.

From what I've read is it may be stuck in some kind of reboot loop. I don't know if this is true or not but there doesn't appear to be a hard reset button that I know of. Anyway, I believe its out of warranty. Just looking to see if there's anything that can be done.

That's not the issue, I was just wondering when the 4K Capture Utility will have an update for the Mac users. I was using the Game Capture HD for the longest time, for my HD60 S capture card. Now, I have upgraded to the HD60 X and can't install the software with the capture card. I am still new to using both OBS and Streamlabs, and it's easier to livestream using the Elgato softwares, especially being a Mac user and Xbox player

i totally understand, as I also started out on a mac. however, I slowly moved away from the elgato game capture software, and used OBS. it has feature I couldn't do with game capture, and at some point it use to slow my mac down. OBS isn't power hungry, as streamlabs. I understand you might want to stay within the elgato ecosystem, but HD60X doesn't have mac software yet, hence even elgat suggests OBS. good luck.

This is what happens when the screen darkens, I would login on my Xbox and OBS is open. Once I jump into a game, the screen stays there is no signal then when it returns the screen is darker only when I am in games

That's the first thing I did, I switched it from 4k UDR to 1080p but that didn't change anything. Then, I went into manual mode for the HDR settings, and that didn't change anything. I am now, fully restarting, after those changes to see if that will update the changes

With my pc it only works with one USB port and initially I tried using a cable that was already in that port and it wouldn't work.. Put in a USB cable that I knew was USB 3.0 and in the right USB port and it worked
