i am assuming i must restart the pc as the easiest solution to get it back in the list

my assumption is that THIS is what makes my pc crash if i dont close OBS beforehand

would there be a way of getting the Elgato back in the Devices list that doesnt involve restarting?

My stream deck and wave link really seem to hate each other, because quite often my stream deck will act as if wave link isn't even open. Only way I've been able to fix this is by restarting both of the softwares.
This wouldn't be an issue if this didn't happen AT LEAST a good dozen times every single day, and I have no idea what's going on

hi there, so I got the Wave Link 3 and I'm having issues with both the mic and my audio clipping. I hear the audio clipping in my headphones, and then I hear my voice clipping in the monitor and my stream tells me that both the audio i'm listening to and the mic are clipping

So, I may have figured out what triggers the bug

It seems that the issue only appears after playing Overwatch.

Overwatch has a black rectangle at the left side of the screen.

Just like the Stream Deck's controls do when they disappear.

Hello! Has anyone ever encountered a crash when the HD60S capture card is connected, where "cy3014.x64.sys" is to blame?

From what I've been trying to research, it could be either elgato related or maybe even usb driver related, but I have not seem any crashes like this with anything other than a HD60S

Unfortunately I don't have crash logs since it happened a long while ago and I stopped plugging the card into my pc, but as I'd like to use it again, I would like knowledge of protection from this crash if any community members has any knowledge

I had the HD60S capture card I was using. Now I have the HD60S+ but when I adjust the brightness and contrast in the 4K Capture Utility it changes in the utility app and in OBS but not for what I see on my monitor, where the HD60S would adjust on my screen as well. Just got a Wave XLR connected to a Shure MV7X and a pair of Sennheiser HD 560S. After some time the headphones will increasingly get super staticky until I unplug them or something. Gaming pc and a Laptop. the laptop is strictly used for streaming using the elgato HD60s+. i have an issue. the only way me and my stream can hear the gameplay is if i have the sound set to the hd60s on the gaming pc. therefore the only way i can hear my game is through streamlabs. am i missing something? shouldnt the capture card capture sound no matter what i have my speakers set as?

As a follow up. I was able to restore my functionality by uninstalling WaveXLR completely, re-install, and updating to the latest version. It took a couple of reboots but my functionality has generally been restored.

Combination of lighting, your chroma key settings, and the distance the screen is from you. You need the greenscreen to be as consistent of a color as possible for more accurate chroma keying and right now it appears your key light is casting a shadow on it because it is too close. When I was using my screen I used a key light air on me and a simple desk lamp to the side to help with any shadows on the green screen.

There are specific requirements for the OBS Plugin, for example: Make sure OBS Studio is installed to the default file directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\obs-studio). The Elgato Stream Deck will not install otherwise. So, I seriously doubt the portable version is supported.

most bios updates are done via usb, based on yours mobo manufacturer or manual, there are steps on how to do it.

Are you able to move the green screen back at all or would you need to crop your camera window then? If not, you need a different light off to the side to offset the shadow behind you. Some people will actually hang/mount a light to the back of their chair specifically for this purpose.

Sorry I meant crop. If you move the screen back you might run out of green screen along the edge of the camera. You simply crop your camera source a little along the sides where necessary so the green screen fills the whole camera window.

This is so true. I’d love to go for that moody, half lit look, but then my green screen would look terrible.

I recently tried lighting mine with a Hue bulb set to green and at 100% brightness, that helped a darker transition area between my two screens a ton.

I’m also going to be mounting the Key Light mini on the back of my chair when I’m not using it for an overhead shot and that should help with the lighting as well.

Hello! I have a problem. My elgato chat link cable doesn't work, and by that i mean that when i plug it i can hear the game but streamlabs obs doesn't get the audio. I have a problem with my HD60S+ it regulary stops recording and freeze the image. i tried some things i found on youtube and on the internet. but nothing really works. sometimes it workes smooth and the next stream i have two freezes. the only thing that helps then is to disconnect and reconnect the HD60S+. ok, turned out I had a Program.[forgot to check the extension] file in D directory (was empty), removed it and everything works fine now

I made an empty Program.exe in the same place and it broke startup again

although I'm pretty sure the previous file was not an exe

guess something to report, it's so specific that it makes me think it's one of the aforementioned apps that created the file and caused the issue

I’m using a HD60s and a PlayStation 5.
I’m playing the PS5 through the capture app.

I’d like to be able to join a party chat and have the audio play through the capture app, as well as the game audio.

I’m aware that I could purchase the elgato cable but this, to my understanding, would split the audio so that it sends to the capture card but I wouldn’t be able to hear any alerts etc from my computer as I’d be listening to the PS5 audio only.

Any suggestions?

ok so the screw locks turn it to the left, but not all the way. Like right before it's about to lock to the left, leave it a bit loose. then pull upward. depending on the stand and paint, it will ether be light glue, and wont lift or it will take some give and will. it's like a jar of pickles.

I have an Elgato HD60 S. I'm trying to capture gameplay from my Nintendo Switch. I have my Elgato HD60 S plugged into my computer via USB, one HDMI cable coming from my HDMI out from my Switch, to my HD60 S HDMI in. Then my Elgato HDMI out is running to my monitor. I have downloaded the program 4K Capture Utility to capture my gameplay as per recommendation from the website. https://www.elgato.com/en/downloads. The program 4K is not capturing any footage as I have not changed any settings. What should I do?

So I've been considering getting an Elgato capture card as I need it for 3 reasons and I do not know if it can cover them, I've searched around and asked around and cant find an answer as nobody uses it for that same exact purpose... First off I wanna use it with my phone as I play some FPS games on that... 1) I want to get the flashback feature or replay or whatever they call it... 2) Second of all I want to be able to listen to the phones output on my PC and have my headphones connected to my PC... 3) Thirdly I want to be able to use a voice changer software that is on my PC and select that as a mic for my phone to use (just like you select a voice changer to be the input for an application) so far I've looked around and havent gotten a clear answer. Periodically it will stop showing in OBS (when I turn my console off or reboot it and signal is briefly lost I guess) and then I have to unplug/plug it back in like 10 times before it starts to work again. you should be able to use screen link if you dont have a capture card, but to use the card you'd need an Apple Digital AV Adapter

Gotta agree with spookie, while the card you linked sleepi is usbc the issue is transfer rates tend to be dramatically worse. I made this mistake myself and after so long had to upgrade because I was running out of USB resources due to transfer speeds being slower than advertised.

So I found a workaround to get the HD60S+ to work whenever it shows a black screen in OBS. Instead of having to unplug it and plug it in again a bunch, I just run this https://www.uwe-sieber.de/usbtreeview_e.html#download and then right click and restart port, and then after that I deactivate and activate the source again and it works

Bought an Elgato HD S + today to record some web browser 3d video game I’ve been working in…. It works great when I use a separate computer to do the recording, but I find I’m still getting a big frame rate dip when I try and record on the same machine. Does anyone have any suggestions for alternative recording apps or tips for optimizing performance when recording on same machine that you are broadcasting on? Is this likely a GPU memory issue or a CPU issue? I’m using a laptop with a 16GB Quadro RTX 5000 .. not sure what else could be the problem :/

Hi guys i play warzone and was hoping to get it to work so that the PTT in game command 'V' as default could work using my pedal but i can't get it to work. I know you can apply this function in Discord but i play crossplay with people so was hoping to be able to get it to work for in game chat only and not discord chat.

Well, it works for me in Apex. I added a button to the Pedal through System>Hotkey (not Hotkey Switch) and put my PTT key in.

Then I just step on it when I need to talk and let go when I'm done

When I plug one camera in my HD 60S+ it works fine, but sometimes I dont know why the source gets missing and I have to restart the HD 60S+ otherwise it wont work. Ok I have a chat link cable. I guess I need an extension to use it because my capture card is across the room from where I sit to play. So this would mean that I am locked into using a head set with a mic instead of using my usual set up which is an XLR mic and in ear monitors plugged into a USB mixer that is connected to the computer. So I have a the Wave link 3 and a Stream deck, occasionally I keep getting the error where any wave link action I do results in the yellow exclamation mark triangle, and in the stream deck software it say's to 'please launch wave link' even though wave link is running.

I'm running the latest version of both software and have un-installed and reinstalled both. The strange thing is this problem will randomly fix itself and then appear again out of nowhere, and this problem has been randomly happening over the last 6 months.

Anyone else come across this or know of any fixes?

most of the time this is caused by stream deck starting before the Stream Deck software. You can test this, but shutting down of the Stream Deck Software and the wave link software. Start the Wave Link software, wait for it to completely load and then start the Stream Deck software. That should work every time. Lately I've been having a lot of issues with getting the HD60 capture to appear in OBS. It works just fine in the Game Capture software, but for some reason it doesn't show in OBS. Does anyone know why it might be? I've tried to reinstall both OBS, Game Capture software as well as the HD60 driver.
I'm on Windows 10 btw. Is this fault more with OBS? I'll be asking the same in OBS tech support

Someone who has experienced this may have a different/better answer. However, the buzzing noise IS electrical in nature and a ground isolator should reduce or eliminate it. You could also check that your outlet is properly grounded.

If anyone has trouble getting PS3 to work with Elgato HD60S/HD60S+ you need a splitter to bypass HDCP or it will only show a black screen

Hey guys, using the 4k capture card with the 4k capture utility. Whenever I have Discord open the audio feed from the capture works fine, but if I start a call or stream the capture utility, after about 5 minutes I get really bad audio popping and stuttering. The only solution is to close the utility, close Discord, open the utility first (opening Discord and then the utility will continue the popping, even when not in a call) then I don't have audio problems. Are there any other programs I can use beside the 4K utility from El Gato?

Hello everyone! This might be an odd question, but when playing games on my PS5 i run the signal through my elgato 4k PRO in my PC, and out to my monitor, i then use the elgato software to listen to the audio coming from the PS5 signal. I do this for one reason, to be able to have PC and PS5 audio with one headset connected to the PC. However there is some delay, and the longer the elgato software runs, the bigger the delay, so i have to restart it. Is there a better solution to this?

Are legacy capture cards like Game Capture HD and HD60 not compatible with Windows 11? My laptop performed a rogue W11 update last night and Game Capture software won't detect any capture card now

Just checked on the website and it has "compatibility results pending". Both HD60 and Game Capture HD which are the two products I have. All other Elgato products are compatible except those two that I have lmao

Will the legacy drivers be updated in the future to support W11 maybe?

No it doesn't. I called Elgato customer support, and the gentleman I spoke with helped me diagnose the issue. He thinks it's the hub, which is non-powered, that's the problem. He says "I see it all the time".

He figures the hub, becuase its unpowered, just failed, so it no longer works.

I have a power cord plugged into my laptop when I livestream. It's the USB hub that's not powered, or unpowered. I think I need a hub that requires an AC adapter, which uses mains power, or power from the wall.

hey, i installed the wavelink software yesterday, the installer asked me to unplug my wave while installing, had to reset my pc. Hello I asked this about this almost a week ago, I’m just gonna pop in here and ask again, with more context. I have an hp gaming monitor and an hp pavilion gaming laptop. When I am streaming/capturing gameplay from my Nintendo switch. On my gaming pcs end through the elgato 4K capture utility software. The colors look soft and muted. Not at all what the colors look like if I’m playing my switch handheld. It’s an oled switch if that matters. Is there any possible way of having the colors not dull and muted. I tried messing with the sharpness and brightness through the settings on the 4K capture utility software and that doesn’t seem to be helping much. Any ideas on how to correct this would be highly appreciated

keep in mind everyone's color calibration is different. you can play with the picture settings, via color correction, but it may appear different for others is you upload, or stream it.

I'd say start with your monitor, and make sure the coloring on the monitor is as close to accurate on color correction before changing the capture card's picture.
