So i have the 4k60pro installed in my computer so i can record my switch. however when my switch isn't in the dock if i play youtube videos or something i get little lags where the screen freezes every few seconds. if i put my switch in and power it on it works fine.

What could be causing this? i have tried checking for errors, reinstalled graphics drivers. it even did it on the hd60+ i had before i exchanged it for the 4k internal. ive never had anyone mention it and when i try to search for this issue i come up more often with screen lag instead but its not that.

yes that is correct. The issue i am seeing is that when im not allowing an input to go through the capture card my computer almost buffers every few seconds. the issue is relieved when i put the switch in the dock.

the capture card is working when in use. i am just concerned that the 90% of the time when i am not using it it causes issues for my pc unless i unplug the system. i haven't tried to replicate the issue with any other consoles.

with the hd60+ i would just unplug the usb3.0 cord and it would stop however now that the 4k is installed in my pc i haven't tried anything. yet it seems like when i unplug power from the dock the issue stopped for now.

@rare elm The problem seems to be that the Gaming PC is trying to force a 240hz output for the capture card and the card cant handle it, but I want to be able to use my 240hz monitor on my gaming pc.

OH i see, that makes sense then since the whiteness is basically fill. the only card we have that handles higher resolutions is the 4k60 pro mk 2, the hd60 s+ wont passthrough high resolutions like that.

Hello, so I got a weird issue. I have an elgato HD60s, and no matter what software I use, some sounds don't get played back/recorded. For instance, all the clicking noises on a Switch's home menu get picked up - I see the audio mixer jump each time I move around the menu, but nothing gets recorded or played back if I'm monitoring the audio. This effects all sorts of noise that are quick, repeating or high pitched. I've tried different software to see if that would change, but it doesn't seem to help.

When you do it this way, the icon of the page is also not included, which I found strange, or maybe not. But it helps a lot that the icon is included automatically when you link to an .exe file

There's a complicated way to do it, but I wouldn't think it would be hard to add to the streamdeck code in the future. You can view source on the webpage and look for "favicon" and download them, then change the icon manually.

There is not an import from Bookmarks and you will have to provide your own icon. Website favicon.ico is only 16x16px's so importing it would look terrible since your Stream Deck Keys are 72z72.

Hey so I got a weird issue:
I have a HD60 Pro set up and wanted to use it to stream my Wii.
I had the Wii set up with a Wii to HDMI converter and got a signal on the capture card.
The thing I saw was the Health Warning screen when the Wii boots up, but when I pressed A to acknowledge the menu showed up for a split second and now I can't get any signal anymore, now with the Wii and not with an Xbox One, both of which work. I also simply plugged in my PC to the capture card and same issue. I used different HDMI cables too.

Done, it's slightly different now: Now it says no signal and the passthrough isn't working at all. I came up with game audio, but only the fist time, after that nothing at all.

I can pretty much say that somewhere inside the HD60 the signal gets lost.

I dont think theres a plugin for that as i know of, so you might have to create a keyboard shortcut and use the hotkey button, or create a multiaction to do it for you. Theres probably a smarter way to it that someone else may know of, but thats what i'd suggest.

Try switching back to the other PCIE Slot. It could be that your MOBO Bios/Drivers may need to be updated, it could be a power bandwidth issue, it could be the HDMI cables. Try those things, and see if any changes.

The PCIe card has no power cables.
I tried a PCIe 1x size slot at the very top, and the one at the very bottom, neither of which worked.
I could try updating the BIOS, but I have a quite recent B450 chipset BIOS

Got the HD60 S+ and projecting the video feed from my Switch onto my iMac(2020) is there a way to have Elgato's game capture software display just the video full screen without the menu bars.

Alright it changed something:
First boot after the BIOS update I had an aimage and sound.
The sound died after a moment, and when I tried to change the input setting to try and fix it, the image broke (stretched bottom left to top right) and turned black and went to "No Signal"
After that nothing.

I rebooted my PC, and then tried again, this time I got a black screen, and again sound but only for a moment. Then it changed back to "No Signal"

Same issue with my Xbox one:
I started the Xbox, the video signal worked for a moment, and then cut out.
So the video got recognised, popped up on the screen, and then in less than a second went to "No Signal" and stayed there, even after restarting the console.

I had the same problem after the update. I already posted here and also submitted a ticket (still no word from them).. The only quick fix I did was to redo the update by going to Windows system recovery. You should see an option to rollback before u updated the stream deck.

So yesterday I was recording some footage on my PS4, and to my shock I noticed that when I put the file in Vegas the video layer was straight up missing. I do know the video is still there because of the size of the 'video'. For context I'm using the Elgato HD60 PRO and the 4K Capture Utility

first add a hotkey in the stream deck software

and set it as one of the f keys over 12

then on discord open the keybinds menu

add a keybind, and set it to toggle mute

press record keybind and press they key we just added on the deck (f20)

and now when u press the button it will mute

so you do that on both discords with different buttons and f-keys and there you go

Hoping someone might have an answer here for a 4k60 pro MK2 annoyance I have had for a while.

I have a dual PC setup - I duplicate my main display onto the elgato display from the capture card. This works great, the issue is the color....

The color is terrible. Very washed out. Always requires an in-OBS brightness adjustment and a contrast tweak.

Weird thing is the other day, randomly, the color was perfect and looked just like my display on startup. But alas that was a one off, never happened again.

Anyone have this issue and any advice?

Hey, I have recently started streaming to Twitch, using OBS, Blue Yeti X mic plugged to PC by USB, Astro a50 headphones (which do not plug into Blue yeti X, but into PC), stream deck xl, Elgato face cam, and trying to channel everything through Voicemeeter Banana, but having audio issues on who can hear what between people in game/OBS/people watching Twitch Stream. Is there anyone who can message me to help get everything working correctly? I had everything working decently until yesterday. Issues I've had are the soundboard on my stream deck normally plays so I can hear it, the people in game party chat can hear it, but on twitch stream it is playing each sound twice in a row. I feel like I should be able to get a better quality out of the Astro A50 headphones and from setup guides it always says use A50 Game as the audio settings, but I feel like I get better sound out of the A50 Earphone Voice Setting. Windows 10 master volume output: Voicemeeter AUX input. Windows 10 master volume input: Voicemeeter Output. As of today Windows 10 master volume output: Astro A50 Earphone voice. Its not currently possible on the Stream Deck. However, usually that functionality is provided by the application itself. Check the settings for a "start minimized" or "start in tasktray" option

Hello! I'm having a problem with my HD60 S+ capture card (on Mac). I have ti plugged into a USB 3 port and it's complaining about needing to be plugged into a USB 3 port. It's plugged directly to the computer, not a hub. Has anyone had this issue before? this just started happening to me. If anyone knows the fix, it's be great!

I've also deleted the Game Capture software and installed a freshly downloaded version

Did you also use a USB 3 cable? If you use a non-USB 3 cable, you will only connect with USB 2.

well, I unplugged everything that was plugged, and then only plugged in the Capture Card to all 4 different USB 3 ports my computer has, and I got the same problem with all of them

the thing is, the capture card sends video feed to my computer, so it's working properly, just not capturing the video

with the card plugged I can play on the TV, so the input and output is working

Hello, unsure if anyone has attempted this yet. I have a streamdeck XL and a 2 pc setup. I was wondering if it is possible to use the streamdeck to control obs studio from a different machine than the one that is running the program. I ask because I want to have the streamdeck setup with Farming Simulator and American Truck simulator on the gaming machine for accessory functions (lights, turn signals, ect.) but also be able to control obs on the streaming machine. Okay So figured I would drop in and see if anyone had a suggestion:
I have an elgato 4k60 pro mk.2 installed in my pc. I use it to record my switch dock sometimes. When the switch is in the dock I am able to record and my pc runs great no worries there. However when I remove the Switch this thing happens where my entire screen will freeze for like a second every few seconds on my pc especially when videos are playing. I believe its maybe happening from the dock sending hdmi signal or something bc both if i unplug the hdmi or the power to the dock it stops or if i simply put my switch in and power it on. I have submitted a ticket but Im assuming it hasn't been gotten to yet.
Scratch that: The temporary freezes kept happening when I unplugged the switch HDMI just now possible it's unrelated to the switch dock itself. Going to test and see if leaving my Xbox plugged into it will help

Hey folks, having this really annoying issue with a double StreamDeck XL setup. Occasionally a button press on deck 1 causes deck 2 to copy the profile of deck 1. So now I have two Deck 1s (They both have unique profiles in the streamdeck app set per deck). Need to click around in the app changing the deck/profile a few times until it rights itself.

Whenever I boot my PC, Wave Link sets the correct device as the Monitor Mix, but I only get sound if I reselect that device from the Wave Link app. It hasn't always been like this. Any idea why?

Which is ridicules, with the amount of devices that needs to be connected the USB. Most people only have a handful of USB ports in the computer, like 4-6 on the back, and 2 on the front. 2 of them, most likely occupied by keyboard and mouse. Adding a microphone, a webcam or two, an HDMI capture device, a streamdeck or two, a game controller and you're pretty quickly out of USB ports.

What are the reasons given for not supporting USB hubs? Also I've been using the USB hub built in to my monitor for 2 15 button streamdecks for a while, and a streamdeck XL connected to another USB hub in another monitor together with multiple other devices, and it's working just fine.. I guess it's mainly a matter of power consumption, which would be solved in most cases just by using a decent powered hub? Or perhaps it's a matter of making support easier? "Oh, it's your USB hub causing the problem, just removed it. Case closed" (To be fair, I've had a pretty good experience with Elgato support when I contacted them, with a problem of my streamdeck XL not turning off with the computer, no blaming the hub. 🙂 )

I didn't set this requirement for the Stream Decks, Elgato did. Some people have success with hubs, most do not (powered or otherwise). Which why it is not recommended. You can cut the wires on an AC plug and stick them in an outlet and it will work sometimes, but I wouldn't recommend it. Just because it works sometimes doesn't mean it should be recommended or supported. Calling out a device (a USB hub) that is known to cause the issues described isn't blaming, It basic logic and troubleshooting.

previously, it showed up as "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)" and I had to uninstall both the Elgato software and the software for a cheap Chinese capture device and reinstall the Elgato stuff

it's now showing up as Game Capture HD in device manager, but saying "no drivers available"

Hey so my friend is having a bit of trouble with their new Elgato HD60 S+. They have a PS5 plugged into it, USB input to the card and PC, and an output caple connecting to their TV. But whenever they opened 4K Capture Utility, it's on a constant loop of No Signal, then looking like it's connecting, then back No Signal. The TV reflects this too. Can anyone help with this? Honestly it can depend. Some state that have a 1 sec delay, some say they don’t. I have internal a 4K60Pro MK.2, but external my HD60S+ and both have never given me a delay.

I'm struggling to install VoiceFX v0.3.0 by xaymar, Elgato's recommended Noise Suppression VST3. I've followed the instructions from articles and YouTube videos, but can't get Wave Link v1.4.0.2691 to recognize the plugin. I just get the "No new audio plugins found" message. When I upgraded, it took me a while to realize I had to plug it into a USB3.0 port, not 2.0. Not saying that's your problem, but it was a huge problem for me and it might fix yours.

Hey all! I am having trouble getting my Key Lights connecting to my PC. Just purchased them and set them up out of the box:

• When I press "add accessory" both Key Lights show up
• My computer picks up the WiFi and I am positive I am using the correct password (tested on separate device)
• Every time I try, the light flashes in response, then takes about 60+ seconds and then it says "Connection Failed" (see screenshot below)
• Have tried this on mobile app as well, just infinitely says "connecting" or connection failed.

I'm using a WAVE XLR and am getting stuttering/poor audio when I moved spotify over to one of the other audio inputs. I put it on Default (Headphones (Elgato Wave:XLR) and it sounds fine. I put it over to 'Music' and it get poor again. I had this working for a week or so since I got the Wave XLR but today I am having the sound issues again.

Also, the issue I have is audio is fine for 30 to 120 minutes if I am at 48 sample rate, but then it gets distorted and has noticeable latency; with 96 that doesn't happen

So, I've been having a weird bug with the Stream Deck software.
Specifically, when I try to select any key that contains a plug-in action, the entire inside of the window disappears (aside from a small rectangle on the left side of the window).
Anyone know what's going on?

Damn, you didn't get a response to this. Hella crappy. I am trying to workshop a workaround, but there's something screwy with how Elgato interfaces with FiveM I am guessing. Cuz when i test it in notepad files it works just fine, so it's issolated. Either FiveM or Elgato, but both will likely shunt blame

I don't know if anyone can help me here, but I am so desperate haha. I've been trying to figure out how to set up a dual stream PC for the last two weeks, give or take, to no avail. I'm so burnt out and so frustrated. I'm using an Elgato HD60s capture card. I'm able to capture everything just fine, but there's just no audio. I'm using Streamlabs, and have tried (what I think to be) EVERYTHING. Does anyone have any tips or tricks? Any helpful videos? I'm so sad 😭

I'm a mobile streamer, I recently got a Elgato HD60S+, but I'm having an issue

My device is A red magic 6s+ gaming phone, so it's no issue about the device , but when I plug my elgato into my docking station and connect it to the phone, the elgato ispulling 4K resolution from my phone and causing lag because obviously a phone won't support 4K.

Does anyone know how I can alter the resolution the elgato pulls to 1080p?

I'm using a CamLink4K via USB and a HDMI to USB-C to hook up my phone (performance and stability aside) to capture my PhoneScreen.

Everything is SOURCED through OBS Studio,
scenes to work - delay and latency have been accounted for

SADLY, I can not capture the Mouse Cursor while using ONLY the camlink4K as source and IF I would ADD a
Window Capture / Display Capture and lay it in the Background (even with nothing on it) and put the camlink on fullscreen on TOP the cursor from
Window/Display will not show

what i meant is, when i unplug and replug it (because sometimes it doesnt register in OBS for some weird reason) it can cause my obs to crash (also some other actions also make it crash my pc (like activating and reactivating, and then closing OBS...)

Any time I try to select a button in the Stream Deck control app on Windows, the window becomes see-through. Restarting the app fixes it, until I again select a plugin button. This behavior persists until I restart my PC. Anyone know why that happens and/or how to fix it?

Hi, would someone be able to help my, I recently just got a brand new pc and moved my elgato 4k60 pro mk2 from my old pc, into my new one. I used to use the elgato for console streaming, however I now want to stream on pc. So I use a single pc set up and have 1 monitor and for some reason, when I put the hdmi of my monitor into my elgatos out or in port, the screen just stays black. I have the Wave 3 with software installed for streaming. Everything is working ok- except I cannot for the life of me get Discord chat to pull into the Wave 3 software. Not certain its a glitch or not
If I setup the Wave 3 as voice, set windows output for discord to voice... discord output to voice- I cannot hear anything and the Wave 3 software still wont show sound on the sound bar.
The only way I can hear anything is if I flip discord output back to my elgato headphones- then I hear them. It still wont show up on the wave 3 software.
is this a glitch? or anyone have any advice on how to fix this

My settings are below for everything... when connected to a voice channel- I cant hear anything through my headset with the above settings for people talking and Wave 3 software wont pick it up

Now If I switch my discord to this (see below)- I can hear the Discord sound again... but it also picks up that audio under the Wave Monitor Mix (Headphones) On the bottom of the software. I want it to pick it up under the Discord tab on wave 3... so I can choose whether to mute my convos from streams or not

You have discord in windows listening to your stream mix, is that what you want?
Also, discord has its own I/o settings so you don’t need to use that windows control panel for discord. Might be confusing it.

To the switch I have a Hdmi to Hdmi and to the Cameras I have been trying 2 different Hdmi to Micro-Hdmi and neither seem to be working to the cameras

The settings are the same as the ones in the video shown above

I should also add that it used to work before but stopped working suddenly with the a5100 and I have been buying different things to troubleshoot and trying to connect to different computers

I understand connecting an elgato hd 60 to the switch and then having two "outputs" one to monitor and one to the pc, but how will audio work. Can I have the switch play audio through bluetooth to speakers and at the same time send the same audio to my pc through the elgato?
