I made a new Admin User on the PC and it installed. Went back to my Main User and was able to open Wave Link. Now I just have my original issue of not being able to get monitor mix audio to play through anything other than the Wave Headphone Jack.

Stream Deck with the latest Stream Deck software installed. Also my Windows 10 install is just over two weeks old. YouTube Chat message buttons don't work. I've disconnected and re-connected my YouTube account to no avail. All I see in the logs is 17:57:44.224 Could not connect to the account.. Any suggestion on how to resolve this?

Remove the account again and reboot. That error message means either the account information is incorrect/corrupted or there is an issue communicating with YouTube (do you use a VPN? etc).

i'm seeing people point out that while it does have 4k/60 passthrough, a monitor's refresh rate will affect what you can do. is that correct? like I wouldn't be able to have my monitor at 144hz while capturing ps5 gameplay with my use case described earlier

I'm thinking I'd need to delete all my buttons, remove all the accounts, uninstall, reinstall and then add everything back. You can export your profiles and you will not have to recreate any keys. However, you would need to install your plugins again.

it will do the same thing, just individual profiles. You could export your individual profiles, uninstall stream deck software, reinstall, create just the YouTube keys to see if they work. If they do, the issue is in the profile that contains the YT keys. You could then import all but that profile.

Anyone available to help me troubleshoot my wave 3? I have tried swapping usb-a slots on back of MOBO. Its plugged in and turns on i can see the lights on the front. But for some reason Wave Link is not recognizing that it's plugged in. I have force closed and also hard rebooted my PC with no joy. Anyone have any ideas?

but for some reason when i play with the elgato i get incredible amounts of input delay, ive read somewhere that playing through the preview window can cause this delay and i should play directly through the monitor output

I had trouble with the Facecam plugged into an unpowered USB3 hub. I think a powered hub would be okay, but I haven't tested it.

If you have a bunch of things plugged in, you may run into issues.

You're making sure to close the 4k capture utility software first before trying to add it to OBS, right? If both programs are open, you'll get a black screen on OBS until you close 4k capture utility, at least that happened to me anyway

hey ! Could anyone help me with some audio issues im having with my wave3 interface and obs? I fixed my soundalerts and when I restarted obs, the input/output no longer works. I can hear some sounds that my chat cant hear, and vice versa. Any tips help 🙂

I usually have OBS go to system, as system is my default audio, and I have it play through my stream that way via wave link. you could setup alerts directly in OBS though.

Having a blonde moment here.... I've moved my setup to another room (PS5 > HD60s > PC) and now I am getting no signal from the PS5.

• Direct connection to TV works fine
• Replacing the HD60s with a passive HDMI Switcher (so keeping the 2 HDMI cables in place) works fine
• PS5 HDCP is off
• PS5 Output Resolution is locked to 1080p
• HDR is Off
• All the usual reboots / disconnect and reconnects have been done.
• Removed the input from OBS and re-added

Any thoughts as I sit here late at night wondering why its not working?

I am using a Master Mount L with a heavy base in addition to a flex arm extension. The problem is that sometimes it just sags.
I would just like to make the ball mounts to be more grippy.

After this, I restarted my pc, updated the only driver that was out of date, and tried again and it seemed to be fixed so I’m not 100% sure what fixed it, but it seems to be working now. I think the driver that updated was a Bluetooth one tho, so idk if that would effect the camera on discord. I also checked to see if it had the same issue in SLOBS and it didn’t so it could’ve maybe been on discords end

Usually a bios/drivers update is the first place I’d start if I saw issues like that, 2nd is checking my cables.

I submitted an official ticket, but I just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this issue with Stream decks. After updating my DELL computer's BIOS to 2.3.0, I can no longer boot up my computer as long as my Stream decks are plugged in !!!! It took me hours to figure this out, but it's absolutely true. My Stream decks (I have 3 of them) are all plugged into one dedicated PCIe card with USB 2.0 ports. I never had a problem prior to updating my BIOS. Anyway... has anyone else experienced this "system boot up" problem?

What is the BIOS post code when you try to boot with them plugged in? I hope you mean you submitted a support ticket to Dell. If not, open one. This will be a BIOS configuration or some other BIOS issue like too little power available, etc.

Hi Guys,

I've recently built a new desk and the only place I can mount my Wave 3 now is too far away from my PC - I've been using an active 5M USB extension (way too long) and have noticed a significant drop in audio quality, tends to be a bit crackly in my recordings.

I was wondering if I could replace the USB-C cable the Wave comes with for a generic good quality 3M length cable? I've tried it with my phone cable but WaveLink seems to spit it's dummy out

If you mean the audio source my audio all defaults to, that would be my headphones so external lmao. The issue is that when I set the game audio to the wave link game channel output, nothing is captured in wave link. I can hear the game just fine but the game audio isn’t capturing in wave link and therefore is not capturing in OBS.

Thank you @shadow anchor . I submitted a few tickets because I wasn't sure what the issue was. What you are saying makes sense. So, I will have to hash it out with DELL. (I don't know what a "BIOS post code" is, so I'm not sure how to answer that.) I never saw any codes come up. The computer boots into a Pre Boot System check utility.. but it never finds anything wrong. Despite that, it still won't boot, unless I unplug my Stream decks. I'm thinking it's the USB PCIe card driver maybe. Anyway, thanks for the help.

Hey, I'm tryna setup my HD60 S after a while not using it, i'm getting a maximum of 12fps, mostly sitting at 1fps. Im tryna capture from an Xbox One S, I've updated Graphics and Elgato drivers, downloaded the latest Game Capture software, updated my computer to the latest Windows 10 and I've turned off all unnecessary features in the software as well as lowered to 720p and lowered the graphics quality all the way down. Any other suggestions? My computer does meet minimum spec requirements too

i have 2 pc's , 1 is a gaming rig and the other one is a streaming/record rig. i installed 2 elgato 4k60 pro m,2 in my streaming rig. I connected the gaming rig to my streaming rig thru a hdmi cable from my gaming rig gpu to the IN port of the elgato 4k60

in the gaming rig display settings i set it to duplicate this display. On my streaming rig (obs) i have the display of my gaming rig like it should be. but the problem is that in some time the moinitor of my gaming rig goes black for 3 seconds and jumps back in like it was before

did i something wrong?

and the second elgato 4k60 pro is used by my ps5 btw

Hi all, happy new year! I am trying to set up my capture card on OBS using OBS Link on Mac but am getting the 'searching for signal' or 'please select capture device' blue box of doom. I know the capture card is able to capture the gameplay, as it is working on Game Capture HD, but I want to use OBS to stream to Twitch. I have installed all the recommended plugins from elgato's guide and ensured they are up to date but still no luck. I am using a 2021 iMac running BigSur (not sure if there's any other info that might help!). Hi guys, i really need a fix for my issue

i have 2 pc's , 1 is a gaming rig and the other one is a streaming/record rig. i installed 2 elgato 4k60 pro m,2 in my streaming rig. I connected the gaming rig to my streaming rig thru a hdmi cable from my gaming rig gpu to the IN port of the elgato 4k60

in the gaming rig display settings i set it to duplicate this display. On my streaming rig (obs) i have the display of my gaming rig like it should be. but the problem is that in some time the moinitor of my gaming rig goes black for 3 seconds and jumps back in like it was before

I'm also having issues with my voice cutting out mid-way through speaking even if I don't change how loud I'm speaking since the update. I've tried with and without any plug-ins enabled, tweaked my discord settings 9which worked fine prior to the update) and even with my gain on the physical mic all the way up I'm still having issues with having my voice continue to be carried over while actively speaking. Also note I'm soft spoken but not to a point where I'm whispering, I just don't speak loud enough to be heard in another room.

I don’t think that you can access a full grown desktop workflow through the app version. There may be a blender plugin to access specific features for blender. But plug-ins can only be used with a physical streamdeck

I have a 16-port USB hub and it works great. I previously had my Facecam and was having display issues on start-up (which seems to be a known issue), so I just plugged the Facecam back into my mobo.

The hub has everything else otherwise: keyboard, mouse, headset, mousepad, Wave:3, etc.

Try unplugging all of your peripherals, then restart your PC. If your PC boots up, plug your peripherals a few at a time to see if that isolates the issue.

I have several buttons set up on mine (just got it). Let's say my wife was using the PC, but instead of signing out just switched it to my account. When I sign in, the center button of mine flickers between what I set it to, and the "Welcome" button.

the low light is tricky, because the green screen it as to have an even light across in order for it to work correctly. if not you start to see noise particles, and then have to increase the brightness of the light. you cloud decrease the shutter speed, and increase the iso for low light, but if you increase the shutter speed too much it can appear a bit laggy, and a lot of noise.

Ah well theres one of your problems, unless its a pretty high spec gaming laptop there won't be too much you can do since its pretty intensive on a laptop to both game and stream at the same time.

Kanashii can i suggest using a program called Gyazo to screenshot sections of your screen? not that just taking pictures with a phone is an issue it just makes it easier to see and i also just find it generally usefull (example if im trying to send sections of my screen to people without screenshotting the whole thing)

I have been having a lot of problems with my PC when my elgato wave 3 is connected

I have a higher end PC, 3070Ti, 5600x, etc.

Ever since I updated my firmware for the mic I have had problems

First and foremost, I have been getting consistent audio crackling

Second, when the mic is connected on startup, I see huge lag spikes and lose my second monitor.

Not really. Your issue is an OBS Audio Routing one, not an elgato one (which is only working as an Audio/Video import in your case) - Unsurprisingly the Elgato videos use..... Elgato software 😕

hey, i need some help pls. i just bought the Elgato HD60 S plus a week ago but i experience random freezing in my recordings. i tried everything but nothing seems to work or fix the problem. record looks clean with nice quality but randomly it skips some frames and losing 1/2 seconds of the recording and im no longer able to use the recording. it frustrate me because i make youtube guides and i just need to be lucky to not have a bad recording that is not smooth anymore.

I helped a fellow streamer set up their new stream deck as well as some features (zoom in, source&scene switches, few multiactions) over the past couple of days for her SLOBS. All of the sudden, SLOBS lags when moving sources or inputting new information (every single letter in a text overlay takes half a second each to be added)..

After hours of trying to find the issue, deleting sources and scenes way past the point where it previously worked, I randomly unplugged the stream deck and force quit the streamdeck system process. Lag disappears.

So the streamdeck is causing extreme lag for SLOBS for some reason. How could this be fixed?

I’ve tried a few things;
-Having nothing on the stream deck still lags.
-every time I boot the streamdeck drivers/services it lags again, when I shut them down, it runs smoothly.
-having 15 scenes works without streamdeck, lags with. But if I reduce to 5 scenes, it stops lagging even with steamdeck.

So something in the communication between the stream deck and SLOBS makes it so that if you have many scenes and sources, it loads/communicates with all of them, and therefore lags?

Well, the capture card would be attached to the PC and the Macbook would be your video input. Assuming it (The Macbook) has a HDMI output then you could use any of the Elgato series (USB ones would be the easiest).

Personally I use OBS over Streamlabs because Streamlabs itself slowed my PC, and there are things included that I’ll never use.

Yeah, they’re set to deactivate, whichever things possible. But the thing is that it works perfectly fine without the stream deck, and lags with it. CPU is only at like 7%.

I’d get her to switch to OBS - we’ve talked about it - but as they’re mid-shows, and make changes on the fly and knows SLOBS well, it’s not the time for a move. Noticing myself not really knowing where things are in SLOBS as I’m used to OBS, so she’d definitely have similar issues of “getting used to it”, and does in fact use a few of the slobs-features

Hello all, Im using an HD60 S and using the 4k Capture utility app, I'm trying to record a video that captures the game audio while I can also hear the audio as I play. Currently seems like I can't have both, when I go into window settings and choose my headset as the audio output I can hear the game but the elgato cant, but when I switch it to the Elgato as audio output, the elgato can hear but I cant! This might be an easy fix that Im just unaware about, but thanks in advance!

Hey all question about the 4k60 Mk2.

So recently I changed out my main monitor to a 1080p 240hz monitor. Ever since had a few issues.

Im using the mirror method - with input EDID set to merged and EDID internal to 1080p.

Issue is now whenever I boot up the streaming pc and the gaming pc I have to set the EDID internal to default, hit apply, then switch it back to 1080p in order for it to work correctly.

This works, and in the end I get what I’m looking for but it’s this annoying process that I have to go through everyday. Any idea why that is or if there’s a way to just get it to work every time? Thanks!!

If I’m understanding your question right, the hd60 S+ is an external capture card that doesn’t allow pass through of above 60fps. Only capture card that will let you do that is the 4k60 pro Mk2.

You could try sending the hdmi from your gaming pc to the capture card for capturing purposes at 1080p 60fps then run a display cable from gaming pc to monitor @whatever resolution and frame rate you want. Seems like that could work but never owned that capture card.

I'm using a 4K60 Pro mk2 card, I've made some changes in my setup dual pc setup - with some new monitors (3440x1440p 144hz on streaming PC and 3440x1440p 180hz on Gaming PC). Also I've changed the HDMI-cable from the original that comes with the card to another one, that is longer so I could put PC's where I wanted to. I can't get any signal to my streaming PC now.. Not sure if the cable is wrong or not. I can see the Elgato Card in my Screen settings on my gaming pc.

The HDMI Cable I bought was from Deltaco and has this specs (google translate used):

Are you talking about the 4k60 pro mk2? So that depends on what we’re talking about - passthrough aka what you get when your playing your game or what’s captured - aka what is being recorded.

Passthrough it’s limitless because you can use the mirroring option with the mk2 where you just mirror your display onto the virtual display created by the capture card. This way there is no passthrough your only limited by your hardware (your pc and monitor). What is captured is maxed out at 240hz I believe, or 120hz in 4k.

he so i have an elgato stream deck, and for some reason it will sometimes have a hard time switching folders. the lcd on random keys will be bugging out and glitched, and not all the buttons will switch to the right thing, this got even worse after i got the k100 corsair keyboard with the G keys that can be used on the stream deck software, everything is updated, but im still having issues, any clue?

I can't configure my Streamdeck to control my Wave Link mixer. When I select any of the Wavelink buttons it just gives me the option to change the name and icon, but nothing about mixers. I have the latest versions of both apps. Tried uninstallring and re-installing both. Tried uninstalling and re-installing the wavelink plugin for streamdeck too. I'm on latest version of macOS (12.1) on an M1 Mac. Anyone have any ideas?

Nope, tried that. As well as restarting the Streamdeck software. Rebooted my machine, re-installed both software and the plugins.

I use a PS5 with the HD60S+

Lock the PS5 into 1080p mode as its output, as the HD60S supports 1080p passthrough (assuming you want it to go to a screen). Then make sure that HDCP is disabled on the PS5 under settings.

Then it hook it all up, and connect the USB from the Elgato to a USB3 port on your PC. The image from the PS5 should appear as a video input source in OBS or the 4K capture utility.

Not always, I've seen some laptops (HP) where the ports were black. They are blue 99% of the time, but its always best to check in Device Manager > USB controllers.

Two options jump to mind.

1. Have two screens on the Gaming PC. Run Apps on the dormant screen and games on the screen that is shared.
2. Jump to Just Chatting if you need to make changes / switch games etc to maintain privacy.

Their used to be a standardized color scheam when they 1st went from USB 1 then 2 was always black then they decided to use colored ports to help with the difference speeds of the and with USB 3 and up I don't know! I've been out of the computer repair business for 5 years now. I discovered most people would rather pay huge amounts of money for a computer repair though Best Buy and such then have someone who can donthe same work in 1/4 of the time for a 1/4 of the price.

So they have changed the color scheme around I am learning. It happens even with in a 30 plus years of computer experience and repair

Totally agree. Blue is the absolute standard but some OEM's just think they are above it some times (and I say that technically working for a vendor LMAO) - Its a PITA!

At least we agreed as professionals in the industry. I did some research 12 years ago on that color change from time to time. They do that when they are out off certian colors cause someone screwed up in the manufacturer process of the USB, and made red instead of blue instead of sending it back it was a cost affect they felt it was more expensive to send back haul all production on the devices to wait on the correct color scheme. Oddly enough CNET did some very endepth research on this. Even before I did 12 years ago

Hi. I'm using an Camlink Pro and encountering strange drop-outs. Using OBS (have used for ages and it's been fine). Randomly, one of my cameras will drop out and go back to the grey 'Elgato - No Signal' screen. Sometimes all of them drop out for a few seconds then come back on. Open another Firefox window to a different page, and have it move to my other monitor.
