Getting this out of the way:
*I have turned off HDCP
*I have turned off my PC, unplugged the power cable from the PC for 30 seconds, pressed the power button for 5 seconds 3 times, plugged the cable back in and booted.
*I have tried other usb cables and ports
*I have tried other HDMI cables
*I have disabled the device in device manager, rebooted, and re-enabled.
*I have uninstalled and reinstalled the most up to date version of 4k Capture Utility
*Windows and 4k Capture Utility both acknowledge the 4k60 s+ as a 4k60 s+. The issue is the black screen regardless of input type.
*I have an HD60 s+ which I was using previously. This issue is not present with it.

At one point when un-plugging cables, re-plugging and rebooting at some point I randomly began getting picture and thought I'd solved the problem. I then began having input latency, audio popping/stuttering, and situational HDR support. HDR would work for Ghost of Tsushima but not Final Fantasy VII: Remake. I thought to double check that I was in a USB 3.0 port and on re-plugging in the USB cable the capture went black again and despite attempting all previously mentioned solutions for a second time have been unable to regain capture.

it will pass through, but honestly games are way too dark with HDR for viewers, as most people may not have a HDR TV/Monitor etc. I always leave HDR off.

when youre streaming. You need to keep an eye out on how much work you put on your cpu. And GPU. if you look in task manager and your Streamlabs obs if your encoder is using CPU Software 264, and so is your game using CPU you need to switch your stream settings to GPU. otherwise theres too much LOAD on one thing. you need to balance it out. So if your game is taking too much CPU% DO NOT. Stream using Software 264. USE GPU. but u need a GOOD GPU/CPU.

Ok I've narrowed down the problem, i am using a chat link cable to capture party chat (xbox) and so to do this you have to enable the setting "party output:headset and speaker" and the second i turn that setting on, my friends sound robotic and echoey

I am pretty sure it is 6.5 ft or 1.98m. But I can't be positive. However, if you are cutting that close, I would think you need to get a longer USB 3.x USB-C cable for some margin of error. Hopefully someone will measure theirs for you!

It's does not support 1080p... Which is 1920x1080. You will have to lower the resolution to 720p or 1280x720 as stated above.

Look up your iMac model and see if it came with any USB 3.x ports first. They are usually blue or red, but sometimes they are not color coded at all.

Good ole Logitech Brio 4K webcam. This was the basic Windows Camera app with Valorant and Discord open. Camera was running at 1080x1920 at 60fps in this video

Exact same issue with it running at at 1280x720p. It does this in Stream Labs too and I don’t want viewers to see this, obviously. Tried different USB ports, but I’m pretty sure it’s the camera that’s ruined somehow.

I can run the camera and stream with no problem when I run console games, but as soon as I boot up a PC game, it goes whack like this.

Let me explain to you I bought a 4K link cam that I have coupled to my canon eos2000d and the cam link software tells me that it detects no source even though everything is fine, plug the canon is on and in video mode. I tried with my brother's the eos 600d no problem its detecting it and all.

chat link pro is pretty good for party chat, but for your viewers to hear you too, yeah a 2nd mic may be ideal for your viewers. unless, you manage to get your group on discord, then you don't need party chat, and can use your headset mic for streams, and discord. just an idea, but if party chat is preferred, 2 mics is ideal, via one for party chat, and one for stream.

Hey guys, I have had the elgato 4K60 Pro MK2 for about a year and recently started having issues where the computer would not recognize it. It would not even show it on device manager. I had clean reinstalled and got it to work but only for about a week. It has stopped working again and I have done everything from re-installing the drivers to resetting Windows. I have gone through so many YouTube videos and reddit posts and nothing has helped, I don't know what else to try?

So after the recent wave link software update 2 of my audio source channels are sounding staticky and dulled out. The 2 sources are Line In and Game Capture source for the capture card. When I have test the audio that’s usually coming from then with other routing everything is fine, and it’s only those 2 that I’m having issues with. I was wondering if anyone else had had any kind of issues with these sources or would know a solution for a fix

I had the same issue. The newest version made my voicemod app sound super staticky. I was able to fix it by uninstalling the new version of wavelink and reinstalling the previous version. Hope that helps some.

Hey! I just got an HD60 S+ for christmas. It works fine, until it just freezes and shuts down after 5 minutes to an hour of using it. The only way to get it to work again is to unplug it and replug it in, and to restart OBS/the 4K capture utility, which forces me to restart my stream every time. I tried lowering the resolution but that didn't help. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

seems like your usb ports may not have enough power bandwidth. unplug everything except the essentials mouse keyboard, capture card. If not see if your mobo has a driver installation, to get 3.0 working.

Heyo Elgato Team! I've received a new camera and have been attempting to test it out with OBS to do some videos etc. Unfortunately, it does not pair nicely with the elgato camlink. The camera is the Sony A7 IV. (Not to be confused with Sony A7R IV) this new camera uses a FULL Hdmi connector. And the option menu has completely changed from any previous tutorial in the elgato camera support videos. I have set it up with the most recent one with the Sony A7R IV though, however there are still multiple more options that could be setup.

Issues are: Camera overheats within 2-3 minutes and shuts down when connected to the camlink (Literally could fry a chicken on this thing)

4k Capture utility freezes up and/or crashes to desktop

I'm using HDMI External: 1080p/60, so nothing 4k

I have a sony a6300 that I currently use to connect and it works just fine, no issues.

Having some real trouble here. I've got the PS5 hooked up to an audio converter and plugged into the 4K60 Pro mk2 inorder to stream to twitch. Ive downloaded the capture software and the drivers but everytime I boot up the PS5 and switch my monitor input I get no PS5 signal on the monitor. Ive tried reseting the PC and PS5, tried using different HDMIs but nothings works. Dunno if its a simple fix and Im just missing it or what. Help very much appreciated.

Hello I am sorry. I think I texted this earlier but I did it during a rush hour of sorts. I was wondering what your audio setup is. I have a multi headset converter for my computer, allowing for multiple people to use different headphones all listening to a virtual cable channel path. The main issue is that it plays the elgato capture of the game, instead of the game itself, creating an audio delay. heya, ran into a mortal issue; the capture card footage skipped frames of my stream. It lags. A lot. The capture card tanked my frames and it lagged at a very pathetic frames per second. Here's a highlight showcasing the intense drop in frames. If you check my past broadcasts, there was no lag, it was only after I put capture card footage that it began to tank in frames. I'd try a restart of your pc, I'm not sure of all the specs on your system but streaming AND simultaneous recording can be very labor/resource intensive, youre pc may not be able to keep up

I'm using a capture card and I have to plug one end of an HDMI cable from the out port of the capture card, and into the PC. I have a laptop that does not have an HDMI in port. Is there a way to transfer the HDMI signal with a USB cable?

in other words, is it possible that I could plug the HDMI cable into an extension cord (or whatever does that) and plug a USB from there into the computer, and still have the HDMI signal?

I found out a fix for this issue,

Had to go into program files and into wave link folder and find file called uncore and setup in same fold, so used the uncore file and then setup and it worked

so the way it should be routed is, IN connects to console, OUT to your TV/Gaming Monitor, and USB-C connected to your Streaming PC’s USB 3.0 port.

If you are trying to capture it then the usb-c needs to be connected to a usb 3.0 on your laptop. OUT is the output of the video, to prevent gameplay delay as your laptop may be no delay or up to 2.5 secs, it’s recommended to have OUT connected to your TV/Gaming Monitor.
