for sure that's actually a really good idea especially since I didn't buy the monitor brand new. It's actually sold out everywhere right now but someone was selling it on craigslist for $150 off list price. They had only used it for a month before they upgraded to the 32" model. But maybe they changed some of the settings while they were using it so a factory reset sounds like a good idea.

I hope your surgery goes well. Strangely, I work for dental insurance so, just make sure to look at your claim statement, and that the prv doesn’t try to overcharge if they are inn. If they are oon, they could balance bill you if your plan is ppo. Unless it’s dhmo, then you just have to pay co-pays inn with no oon coverage, anyway, be safe, and rest up. 🙂

Hi, just a quick question. My monitor has 1 HDMI port and 1 DisplayPort. Is it ok if I plug the Elgato into the HDMI port on my monitor and plug the monitor into the DisplayPort on my GPU

@fickle pulsar it was the HDMI cable connecting the capture card to the monitor. it could handle 1080p but not 4k, swapped the cable with a newer one and it worked right away

But generically speaking, in your stream deck software, click on the hamburger menu on the top right. It's the icon with the three horizontal lines. Make sure your plug-in has a check mark.

Otherwise it will be hidden from view

Close the Stream Deck Software. Then delete the net.voicemod.windowsdesktop.sdPlugin folder. Restart the stream deck software. Reinstall the VoiceMod plugin. Try that and let me know

I have dealt with this a couple times before. The only solution was to send the person the plugin and have them remove the old plugin and install one manually from a file I sent them. I will be glad to do that for, but it is up to you, because technically you should never install something some random person on the internet sends you. Please DM me if you want try that method and I will be glad to help.

Are you just trying to open Powerpoint itself or a specific presentation file? One quick trick is to have the Stream Deck software open, pull up the start menu, click and drag the program you want to open to an empty button within the Stream Deck software. It will automatically add a System: Open command with the proper App / File location.

Ok, two possible solutions

1. Add a button for System: Open and set the App / File to "POWERPNT.EXE" - I just tried this on a second computer and it works with Powerpoint as well as Excel ("EXCEL.EXE"). Your executable files may differ slightly so update where applicable.
2. Check out BarRaider's Advanced Launcher plugin available when you search in the Stream Deck Store. Add a button for this plugin and set the Application to wherever your Powerpoint executable is located (mine looks like this "C:/Program Files/Microsoft Office/root/Office16/POWERPNT.EXE")

These are both attempting to do the same thing. Let me know if either of them works.

What did you do to empty your temp files? One way to do it is in Windows to go to Settings > System > Storage > Click on Temporary Files > Then click Remove Files. Try that first.

Next step, where have you downloaded the Stream Deck Install file to? Download a fresh copy to your desktop and attempt to install. It doesn't appear there is an option to install it as an administrator. RunDLL errors are usually the result of a corrupted DLL file from an improper install/uninstall process. Properly uninstalling the stream deck software, removing the old files, and installing the new files are how to resolve the issue.

hello everybody, couple days ago I've done factory reset on my laptop and after that game capture with hd60 started glitching/tearing/lagging like crazy when recording from ps4, I also have an Xbox 360 and PS3 and recording from them works totally fine, does somebody know what might causing this issue? I double checked that HDCP is disabled and I have no idea how to fix this, it's especially wierd, because before factory resetting my laptop it worked fine with ps4 too

Usually unplugging the capture card for 1 min, and reconnecting may fix it. If not, you might want to try a new set of compatible cables, and make sure your bios/drivers are updated.

You could try backing up your profiles, remove everything from the stream deck, then restart your PC to see if you can recreate the issue. If it doesn't happen, then it is a matter of identifying which plugin is causing it one by one

Not uninstalling it. You can export/backup all of your stream deck plugins and settings from the menu before doing anything. That way you can always reimport everything very easily

I just reinstalled Stream Deck on a backup PC and have a similar tab popping up for Stream labs every time I open the browser that I need to sort out

Thanks, that makes sense. Is it CPU intensive to run the Elgato software alongside streaming? I know some people end up just devoting a whole monitor to becoming the screen for the console and playing on that rather than having it kinda running two instances (one to play from, and one that's streamed)

If you are using OBS then you wouldn't have the elgato capture software open simultaneously. As long as your PC meets the minimum specs for the capture card then you should be fine. I was running my PS4 through a laptop with an integrated graphics card for streams and had no problems.

The capture card would be a full screen source within OBS (or whatever size you make it in the scene). You can either play directly off the OBS stream preview or if you would prefer, you can have the elgato game capture software open as well on a different screen or on top of OBS running in the background on a single screen. I believe both applications can utilize the output of the capture card at the same time unlike say a Logitech webcam that can only be used by one application at a time as a source.

just tack a bit of super glue in a couple places (just a dot) around the outside along where you highlighted. Very small dots until you ensure everything still works properly. Then you can add some bigger tacks of glue to it.

hello everyody, so I have a wierd problem, when I choose my AMD Radeon gpu as a decoder, the elgato game capture is stuck on "Initializing" or "Detecting Signal" and only "One Moment Please" is displayed, but when I set decoder to Intel HD Graphics (which I want to avoid) everything works fine, also AMD gpu doesn't show up at all in encoder options 😦

Intel encoding aka quicksync encoding is comparable to nvenc which itself is comparable to x264… amd encoding is sadly a bit behind with minor encoding artifacta that you don’t see in the other encoding solutions

Windows by default doesn’t play audio through multiple outputs, so if you have audio playing through your headset, it won’t play through the hdmi cable… you’ll have to do that manually which you may find the article I’ve linked above useful for that

Good morning everyone,

I have a problem with my Wave Link software in combination with external speakers (Logitech Z5 via USB) as alternative monitor mix output.

Namely, the speakers are extremely quiet when I don't select them directly via Windows as audio output but via Wave-Link system then as monitor. I have already looked in all possible settings, but I can't find anything where I can change anything.
If I select the speakers directly via Windows, they deliver full volume, but then I can no longer use the advantages of Wave-Link.

I have this problem repeatedly. Last time a reinstallation of Wave Link solved the problem, but it's not really a condition that I regularly lose 50% of my loudness with my speakers.

I do appreciate being able to easily switch between headphones (connected to Wave 3) and Logitech speakers via StreamDeck and would like to continue using that feature as well, but I don't want to have to keep reinstalling Wave Link.

Does anyone know the problem and have a solution?

What type of capture device are you using? Are you receiving any type of error message or just a black source screen? Confirm your USB port is the appropriate type, check firmware versions on the port, unplug everything and plug it all back in.

Unfortunately I only have experience with the external capture cards but maybe somebody else will be able to assist. I believe any PCIe slot should work and the fact that it was previously working for you leads me to believe either a software update somewhere messed it up or perhaps the capture card needs to be reseated on the mother board

Has anyone had issues with their elgato capture card not working in obs with the sourcerecord plugin?
When I add the sourcerecord filter it causes my elgato source goes back and forth from saying "no signal" and working.

I bought apple Lightning Digital AV Adapter, initially I had 2 sec delay in Sound. I tried to change the adapter to local brand and after that there is no sound.

@ionic oar I did find this for someone having the same problem with the Apple DV adapter and their TV: check the volume control in Control Center. Each output device (speakers, headphones, AirPlay) has its own setting.

@ionic oar NP. There also seems to be a common theme with the delay and the AV adapter. Apple says "With the lightning cable, IOS simply records the screen as an MP4 to the AV adapter which causes a small but noticeable delay"

@amber ingot ummm... 250fps? You should definitely cap your frame rate. 250fps is waaaay tooo high. The human eye can't tell the difference after 60fps for the vast majority of people. 250fps puts an unnecessary load and temp on your GPU. I have dual 3090's and have mine capped at 120fps. Crazy frame rates is what was causing New World to fry GPU's.

I figured out the issues with the levels not adjusting as if they were locked in place. I uninstalled the software and when prompted, deleted all my settings. Then reinstalled and setup everything again, and it now appears to be working now, hopefully the issue doesn't come back.

i have a 4k monitor and cold war in maximum setting makes my fps less than 10 fps. im rocking a 2070. so i have to play with it on low settings to get 70 fps but now a days it seems like its doing worse which im not sure why. unless your saying i will get maybe 60 fps on 4k max setting then id be intrigue to buy a license and install Win 11.

In my uninstalling and reinstalling obs I have verified that it works just fine when I use a webcam only(and not the elgato cam link pro) So I can confirm that at least it has been isolated to be an incompatibility with the cam link pro and the source record plugin.

Hey everyone hope things are well. I'm having an issue and drawing a blank on the fix. I've had a 4k 60 pro mk.2 for a while now and all was running well. I decide to upgrade my 1920x1080 144hz to a 2560x1440 144hz and for some reason the capture card is seeing it as a 2160 screen. I plugged the original screen back in and it now sees that a 2160 screen as well. Any ideas?

on my stream deck I like using the scene switch button because it will always tell me which scene is active. the problem I have is that I use two different instances of OBS at the same time, with different profiles/scene collections. when I press switch scene with both instances open i causes OBS to search for the scene collection and force the other instance to open that scene even though it shouldn't have 'knowledge' of it. any ideas?

Hey, guys. I'm hoping to figure something out. I have my Canon M50 Mark II plugged into the Cam Link 4K. At first I wasn't receiving a signal with the card plugged into my USB I/O in the back of my PC. I unplugged it, plugged it back in then it started working just fine--but then I lose signal after a couple of minutes, or something arbitrary happens (like I move a window) and the signal to my Cam Link 4K is gone until I can plug it back in again.

I would like to stream with my facecam accessible. Is this a known issue that has a fix? Is it a software-related issue? Is my Cam Link 4K defective?

EDIT: My camera's settings are where they should be; camera on movie mode, auto-poweroff is disabled by default on that mode. I am writing off the camera as being the issue.

Update on my previous issue; it seems both updating Nvidia Broadcast and deleting the Elgato Game Caputre software seems to have fixed it so that neither software is taking over the feed from the Cam Link, thus disabling the signal entirely. Or it may have been me fixing the cable strain on the HDMI cord. All that matters is that the problem seems like it's been fixed.

Nevermind, camera just froze up again.

It's like another program is taking over usage of the camera causing it to lose signal but I can't narrow down what it is. Going into Windows privacy settings is only telling me what app used it last and not what's currently using it

I bought the HD60S+ to be able to play consoles on my computer screen, but when I hooked up my PS5 the sound stutters every now and then. I have tried different USB 3.0 ports and setting audio to 48k and a bunch of other things. The one thing that seemed to fix it was to plug in the OUT hdmi cable, but that kind of defeats the purpose of having access to my PC at the same time. I've just swapped out my HD60 Pro for a 4K60 Pro MK2 and my computer isn't detecting the 4K60 Pro MK2

My motherboard is a B550I AORUS PRO, both cards were inserted into a riser cable connected to the rear M.2 slot which supports PCIe X4 gen 4

I'm wondering if maybe my riser cable is at fault cos I'm looking at similar riser cables and they're wider so maybe my cable isn't doing the full 4 lanes. But if that's the case, shouldn't the PC at least detect something?

I recently bought an HD60S+ and have been having crackling audio when opening the 4K Capture Utility to preview the card.
With my previous capture card, I was able to use Game Capture HD to stream on discord but since the audio issues are present with the 4K software it doesn't work as smoothly. Luckily I was able to find a fix that worked for me, and hopefully it will work for others with the same audio problem as me.
The fix is to use VLC to instead of the 4K Capture Utility, no more crackling on my end and here is the video that I followed for it.

Step 1: Uninstall the plugin in the Stream Deck software.
Step 2: Close and exit out of the Stream Deck software completely.
Step 3: Hit Win+R and paste %APPDATA%\Elgato\StreamDeck\Plugins
Step 4: Look for a folder named: com.corsair.icue.sdPlugin. If it exists, delete it.
Step 5: Restart Stream Deck Software.

Exit out of the stream deck software completely. Exit out of the iCue software completely.

Restart the iCUE software FIRST. Wait 60 seconds, re-start the Stream Deck software.

I'm trying to figure these out.
So, I have a 2012 iMac that I've been using to record gameplay for the last 6+ years. Up until several months ago, outside of when the hard drive was slowly dying after a power out fried it 4 years ago, I've had no problems with it. However, more recently, I've had 3 distinct problems that I have no idea how to fix.

1. My Xboxes (One X & Series X) sometimes try to go to a higher resolution for some reason (I've had a PS4 & PS5 too, but don't use them as often, so I don't know iff this is a problem with the Elgato hardware, or the consoles specifically) during recordings, which happens randomly & causes a momentary pausing of recording, but the games still run in the background while the resolution tries to figure itself out & it splits the recording in half for the video. I'mm thinking of replacing my original HD60 with an HD60+ soon to see if that solves the problem, but this doesn't seem like it should be happening & it's been happening for the last year or 2.

2. The Elgato software (app) has problems of getting stuck during recording somewhere, then has to play catch-up after a bit to make sure it has the data recorded for the video & audio files. This gets annoying because it causes the 3rd thing as well I'll mention in a sec & makes recording a bit of a pain because if I stop the recording, it doesn't have the rest of the video recorded from that session, which is just really annoying to have wasted that time. This could be my computer, but why would this be happening.

3. My commentary audio randomly stops recording. The solution to this is simple. I just need to press the button twice, which resets it. However, this shouldn't be happening. It rarely never happens at this point when recording & it has happened between 5-10 times on multiple occasions. This could be my computer as well, since it seems that some of the USB ports are starting to need repairs, but I don't get why this would be.

The worst part about this is that I wanna run a diagnostic on the computer, but when I try, the iMac won't do it for some reason. I've run multiple first aids on it & I'm thinking of taking it to an Apple Store to get it checked out (I also have a Macbook laptop that could have its battery replaced & the keyboard swapped out due to some off the keys being weird), but I'd like to see if I can fix some off these problems before doing that & costing me money.

Are there known Issues when using an Corsair Headset (with iCue installed) and Elgato Wave Link?
Everything works nicely. And as soon as I switch on the Headset for the first time Wavelink behaves absolutely crazy and does weird things like bad Fader behavior, no sound on monitor and or stream on different channels etc.
This stays until I completely reinstall Windows.... This is the second Week I'm working on this problem. It drives me mad 🙂

Do you have any USB 3 cables near the wireless dongle for the headset? If so, USB 3.0 can interfere with 2.4ghz wireless devices since they are both running at 2.4ghz.

No. It buggs as soon as i switch on the Headset the first time and stays like that till i reinstall windows. Even when the Headset-Dongle is pulled, Headset is Of and I reinstalled every peace of software.

I had this issue via auto HDR with the PS5, and turned it off. Then is switched to 1080p. The Switch Doesn't have HDR though, so it shouldn't be doing that. I wonder if you close out of 4K Capture Utility, and relaunch it, or maybe try OBS, and see if it works.

The 3.x version of iCue works fine but the latest update to the 4.x version has broken the StreamDeck integration and also clicking things like the settings cog causes iCue to hand for 10 seconds before the app responds.

I had this problems too. Uninstall everything fom iCue. Make shure that there are no leftovers in your Program-Directory and "%appdata%" (<= Add this without the quotes in file explorer, look out for a corsair directory there, rename /delete the CUE3 & CUE4 folders under this directory).
Then reinstall Cue4 only. Solved my issues.

According to Elgato on twitter: "The weight limit varies since if you use the Flex Arm kit it would depend on how far extended the gear would be since it causes more torque on the system. It can support mirrorless and DSLRs but it will vary on how you set up the whole Multi Mount system!"

Hi, I've just setup my new Arctis Wireless Pro headset and am trying to set up real-time monitoring with the Wave:1. I have connected a stereo 3.5mm cable between the monitoring jack on the Wave:1 and the 3.5mm input on the Arctis base station but can't figure out how to get the monitoring audio to come through.

if restarting the Stream Deck software doesn't fix your issue, you will need to uninstall the Stream Deck software... Reboot Windows... Re-Install the Stream Deck Software. You can export your profiles first and then re-import them after the re-install.

@shadow marsh Also, never run the Stream Deck software as Administrator. Don't know that you have, but that can cause similar issues.

Official support has been no help with my problem… Ticket created on the 27th and its still not fixed. In addition to my 'decks having this problem for months. (Nothing has worked except apparently a full windows reinstall, but that shouldn't need to happen) If this cannot be fixed, I may have to find other options for controlling my stream. :/
Both YT and Twitch connections randomly stop working and force a restart of the software, multiple times per stream. Should not have to do that.

I did uninstall everything with Revo then setup the connections manually afterwards, then added the profiles back after (with a profile restore, not scratch).

I feel like i've done everything that is possible except a Windows factory reset.

As one elgato person told me, because I had an issue different, but felt the same as a last resort with my streamdeck, and somehow it fixed itself, you shouldn’t have to factory reset windows and a fresh install. If that is what you prefer to do, then do so. However, i’d suggest backing up all your data first.

Are your Stream Decks plugged into a USB 2.0 or 3.x port?

@hidden jolt if they in USB 3 ports, they must be in USB 2.0 ports. I read all your symptoms and this immediately came to mind. It would explain each one of your issues above.

im not sure but i think the usb c to usb c cables that come with modern macbooks either don't have the ability to transfer data, or do so at only 2.0 speeds... neither of which will work with a HD60 S+
