Anyone have experience using heavier cameras with the Master Mount and the ball heads? I'm using a Sony A7ii with mine and it's just a bit overweight it seems. The arms will droop if I have them at an angle that doesn't support the weight.

I'm wondering if anyone has added some sort of material to the inside of the grip to make it tighten more. The lock nuts feel like their pretty solid but just aren't getting tight enough to lock the ball in place.

Just got caught up on what you guys are talking about with the staticky audio. I actually just had that happen to me last night while using OBS.

I have a Zoom L8 mixer hooked up so I can mix minus audio that is being played from the PC. The audio playing from the PC randomly got a lot of static on it. I ended up having to power cycle the mixer and re-open the website with the audio we were playing.

Not sure if that helps at all.

I haven't been able to find the actual root cause yet though.

Owners (or former owners) of the stream deck mini, was the amount of buttons on the thing enough for you, or did you feel like (or did) upgrading to the regular, or xl versions of the stream deck?

cant say I've ever owned or used a mini but, if you can afford more buttons why not. its nice not having to work with folders or pages if you dont have to. If youre just starting out and want to be able to do some easy scene changes and such you can literally pack just as much into a mini as you can an xl youre just limited by the amount of buttons at your disposal. worst case scenario you get a mini, use it for a year and decide to get a reg or xl version and then you use your mini in conjunction with your bigger deck to switch pages or get to soundboards easily or something.

no, thats for using chatlink or analog audio, your audio should be transferring via hdmi, are you using voicemeeter to bring the audio in and its freezing up maybe?

No I just used the cords that came with the elgato I have everything hooked up correctly

And I noticed when I plug in my mic into my laptop the elgato also loses sound

Yeah it looks that way, probably just need to show us more of your sound setup/settings, what software youre using (obs, game capture, slobs). Its hard to tell what might be interfering otherwise.

Chatlink is just a 3.5mm (typical headphone jack) cable that connects to your controller of your console to enable the capture of party chat on your pc

okay sure, you've got like 3 different audio sources coming in it seems I'd try just setting up your hd60 on a separate scene to ensure you've got that working and then build onto it

Hello, has anyone had any issues with their dual key lights not mapping to the stream deck correctly? My lights work with the control center and relay to the deck when using the control center but not when using the stream deck. Only one light turns on and off.

iPhone lightning ports are prone to being finicky too. Try a different usb cable if you’ve got one.

cool, if you switch your output to another channel in wavelink (say voice chat) and then set wavelink to output to your headphones, does that help?

Well you can use any game capture software you want really (game capture hd, obs, slobs), theyre all just software. as far as quality is concerned it depends alot on your pc resources to process all that information without getting hung up. Are you planning to record or stream or both simultaneously?

So this is going to be a weird post / question. I just want to see if my fix is truly a "fix".

I have a dedicated streaming PC with an elgato 4k60 pro mk.2 installed. When I first got it (about 4/5 months ago?) never had an issue - not once ever. But recently I added a gaming PC to my setup (was console only before) and every time I would switch to console I would get random quick flashes of NO SIGNAL from the CC. Sometimes it would happen once during a 5 minute period, other times for 5 minutes straight it would flash every 5/10 seconds!!! MADDENING!!!

I tried for days, literal days to fix the issue. Even tried out the CC in the gaming pc to see if issue was the CC itself, and no problem at all. I nought new HDMI cables, problem persisted. I removed all drives for the CC on streaming PC, re-downloaded/installed, persisted. It seemed to be some sort of weird streaming PC only when capturing game play from my console.. WHAT?!?! Sure the streaming PC is not as strong, makes sense, but why was it not a problem before?

Welp 3 weeks into this issue, today I** unchecked** the OBS checkbox in Advanced labelled **Enable Browser Source Hardware Acceleration" and POOF! im an hour into a stream test, and not one flash!!!

So the question lol. Does this make sense to anyone? Is this truly a possible fix have I finally solved this!?!? Or is it more likely that my systems just being nice right now lol.

Been trying to connect my Key Lights and when It comes down to picking the WiFi, it after it says waiting for Key Light to connect, this could take up to 60 seconds, it just keeps saying connection failed. Have you watched Vicz video for getting obs setup and configured? If you’re still experiencing issues after that you may just need to turn down your bitrate or output scale so your pc can keep up. If you’ve been using game capture hd and want to move into obs you’re going to need to set up scenes and add sources (your HD60S) to get game and audio to appear.

Yesterday was playing GTA and the thunder in the game seemed to of caused an issue with my capture card audio. Was wondering if there's a solution for this to ensure it doesn't happen again in the future? This happens occasionally.

hello everyone i have a big problem with my gc.... I received my 4k60 pro today, previously I used the hd60s. but since I own a playstation 5 of course I wanted to use the 4k and have now changed the capture card. The software is installed, including the drivers. however, as soon as I go out of full screen mode in the software, the picture starts to flicker. as soon as I go back into full screen mode, everything is back to normal. if i allow the flickering to last too long the signal also stops and it shows me no signal found. then it takes a while and i see the picture again. here also a video of it

I’ve never used cam link but elgatos got some YouTube videos so you may find a solution there if you check that your setup is the same as theirs or similar. Also maybe post a post link in the camera chat for some extra exposure.

Although it's super slight, I've been trying to use the HD60S capture card on my nintendo switch. Although it may not have any lag in between the computer and the monitor / tv, there's a slight delay between the switch itself, and the computer. It's been messing me up and I don't know how to fix it. (not just audio delay)

Hi guys, I've got the Game Capture HD and everything works fine apart from when I try and get the Chat Link cable to work. Sound comes through my headset and not through my PC and I have no idea how to fix it. nor lagging or anything like that

Just the stuff coming from the switch is delayed like half a second

as in I'd do an input from the controller and it would take half a second for it to be reflected on both my monitor and my computer / obs / the capture utility

when I connect the switch directly to the monitor, it's instant, so it has something to do with the capture card

I see, in my experience, (I have a switch hooked up to my 55" tv) I've always noticed a minor bit of input lag when not using the device in handheld mode, that being said I dont believe theres a way to "delay the input" of the game capture to match by way of the hd60 itself. if youre using obs I know you can add filters to sources such as render delay, which may help offset the delay youre noticing:

I normally record right on OBS without capture card and I wanted to use the Elgato 4k60pro to be able to record myself while still recording locally on the computer, any thoughts how I can do this in OBS? thre is a delay for some external devices most you could get away with through a hub is streamdeck, but lag is real on pushing the button. i have my wave 3, and hd60s+ directly to the motherboard for minimal lag. i use the hub for the streamdeck, but it's not a hindrance in my setup.

Hey, I put this into streamdeck chat and realised I probably should have posted it here.

When transitioning from scene to scene in OBS using streamdeck the following happens sometimes; the scene changes correctly, but what is being shown on the preview window and on stream switches back to the previous scene.
To fix this, I have to manually go to OBS and change to any other scene then back to the desired scene for it to work properly.
I have the deck plugged straight into the motherboard and the scene switcher is correct

Have you heard of this before? Can you please help?

Hi! Sorry to bother you. I have been having a problem with my elgato Hd 60S for a few weeks now. Let me explain, it's very simple:
I've been using it for a few weeks now and it doesn't recognise my Nintendo Switch anymore. So I tried all the techniques: reinstall the software, deactivate/reactivate the device, test the 4k capture utility software, change the USB port but nothing works.

Even on another PC (plugged in 3.0) nothing happens with another Dock Switch. However, my capture device recognizes my camera, my Wii which is very intriguing. On a PS5 it's a black screen.
In fact, I have the impression that it doesn't want to capture a console with a big signal anymore.

Is this a recurring problem with this product?

Hey all! Through much googling I've yet to find the exact issue I've been dealing with, and wondered if anyone's had the same problem?

Just got an Elgato Stream Deck V1, but as soon as i plug it into my pc (in any usb port) everything on the pc goes slow, there's slight but noticeable input delay, and it visibly lags even when bringing up the start menu?

It can't be a matter of poor performance as its an i7 with a 1080ti, 16gb ram, and nvme drives, does anyone have any clues? Its really disappointing to not even be able to use my new tech 😥

I use a Wave 3 mic (which is about 6 months old and solid) - since the most recent Wave Link software update, the mic is totally dead - no lights on it and no sound coming through it.

The audio in my pc is still going through the software, but the mic is dead

If your wave was dead it likely wouldnt be recognized by the wave link software and therefore not boot without showing a screen like this @slow falcon :

but the software is working, and when I unplug the mic, everything stops - so it's recognising something, but the mic is dead

Okay I’d suggest removing the mic. Uninstalling software completely. Restart pc. Reinstall. Reconnect mic.

Hmm maybe try some different usbs to see if they stay on. Preferably straight to the motherboard (not the front USB’s)

it has only been straight after the software update, no problems before at all - makes me think some miscommunications or issues with the update. My PC is pretty meaty, and it's plugged directly into the USB ports that face the mobo

Im running a dual pc setup with the ELGATO PRO INTERNAL HD60. And im having issues when running everything through voicemeter. My sound starts bugging. And then elgato HD60 has its own capture SOUND software. and i just run everything through there with double mic. ONE for my discord on gaming pc and one for streamingpc(recording only) And now im wondering how can i get discord to run on a seperate track without the voicemetere banana. cause that stuff gives me a headache i followed hour long tutorials. seen several of ur videos. But my sound on my streaming pc alwaYS ended up being buggy so i got rid of it

and im wonderting if there is a way to record discord on a seperate adiuo track from my gaming pc on my streaming pc on OBS

that sounds very convoluted unfortuantely and I've never setup a dual setup pc so I probably wouldnt be much help. That being said you dont have to use elgato's sound capture software if you prefer not to, its optional.

Yeah as I mentioned it’s not my forte and I’d hate to mess up what you already have in place. But why not put the discord audio on your stream pc and just keep the gaming pc, gaming?

Then you could easily separate discord

Set your HD60 to monitor and output in the advanced audio properties in obs and you should get game audio without needing sound capture.

Hello. A few days ago I bought a Stream Deck.

Easiest thing to try first is gonna be uninstall the stream deck software, restart your computer, reinstall software.

@odd root The source is the video output capture in the second column of obs, delete it and add it back fresh. Other software refers to any other programs running while obs is.

It’s plugged directly into your pc correct, not a hub? And can you verify the internals of that USB port are blue? That’s usually a clear indicator it’s 3.0.

I have an HD60 S, plugged the usb cable into a 2.0 port and get the same screen you're seeing, plug into a 3.0 and get this screen instantly

If that’s what your USB port looks like and you’ve already tried different usb cables you may need to consider a ticket with elgato to get it resolved.

Anyone know if it is possible to rename the audio inputs that come with Wave Link? Not the channels in the software itself but the actual inputs. For example, say I want to rename the Aux 1 input to "Piano" so that the software and the Windows audio manager sees the device as "Piano". Is that possible?

I guess it really just depends on what youre trying to accomplish, if you want to put a 4k60 PRO into your pc heres what it requires per elgato:

you may be able to get by with the i5 but its not technically supported, so just be aware.

Hmm. Make sure that you don't have both programs open. Double check that it's added in as a video capture device. Also, make sure that security if your camera has allowed access to desktop apps like OBS

Try unplugging it, closing all software, then shutting down the PC. After the PC is back on, launch OBS and try to add it back it. This is a good power cycle. make sure your power plan is set to high performance, also double check driver updates for your graphics

How about Streamlabs OBS? Similar Third party software. Again, if it's working in the Elgato software, then it has to be something about OBS that's causing you to experience this issue.

Either way - i5-4th Gen (i7-4th Gen or higher too, usually) and you only need Intel HD graphics. I doubt it's performance related but I was just curious. You may also want to sent up an entirely different set of scenes and add it in individually. You can also deactivate/activate the device in the sound video and game controllers of your device manager. Lastly I'd check slobs. If all else fails you may want to reach out in the OBS forum as well since it's working in GCHD.

If you recently closed GCHD flashback recording might still be using your resources (ram) so try disabling that in the elgato software and disable buffering in OBS.
