Hey guys, quick question regarding the Wave:3 --- I'm currently using Audio Technia m50x plugged directly to the wave:3, but I plan on purchasing the logitech g pro x headset. Would the soundcard for the logitech be an issue working with the wave3 software since it won't be plugged in directly to the wave:3? I still plan on using the wave3 for the microphone, but I found some people complaining about delay's if not plugged directly into the wave3, just wanted a confirmation before purchasing.

I'm not sure what the threading is on the Blue Compass Mic Arm, but you can use any mic arms that have a 1/4", 3/8", or 5/8" threading with Wave.

Anyone else get the issue where randomly wavelink forgets everything and you have to re setup all your channels? this has happended to me a few times since i have owned it but now it has happeneded 2 times in 3 days...... Any solution to having wavelink keep the settings saved in a file somewhere or a way to backup the settings to a file that can then be used when wavelink forgets what the settings should be?

That's something only you can decide
The 6 buttons will allow for you to create folders to nest functions, but for me personally I found the 15 Key to be too small. I'm glad I sold my 15 key and upgraded to an XL as a Wave owner

If you're not getting a picture in the game capture software or streamlabs, there's something going on with the physical setup

This may be a silly thing to try, but try unplugging your USB cable from the HD60S and turning it upside down

If xbox set to 1080 I get gameplay on TV but black image on the pc if I then switch xbox to 720 it then shows gameplay on pc but black screen on TV

but, it should downscale to 720p

but see if your game capture hd software will let you change the signal to 1080p

I personally stopped using game capture hd and use 4k Capture Utility more

Hello I am having an issue where NO elgato products work on my PC. I have a blackmagic capture card that works well but my Camlink 4K (x 2) and HD4K60 internal card isn't. OBS shows them under the drop down for capture sources. And I have Activated them but nothing is showing. Can anyone assist? All softwear is up to date and on latest version releases.

So I simply plugged the camlink into a 2.0 port. (even tried 3.0's) and selected the cam link from the options in OBS. I have the 4K capture utility for the use of the internal capture card. But I am more concerned with the USB cards not working.

So I'm having some slight difficulties gettting SLOBs to work with Wave link. 99% of it is fine. But that 1% is to do with Browser sources and the "Control audio via OBS" setting.

When I have that option deselected, I can hear the browser source audio just fine.

But when I select it, I can see the audio being output in my mixer, but I don't actually hear anything being picked up.

When looking at the audio config of Wave Link / My Sounds, I've set "Obs64.exe" to one of my AUX channels (not muted), and the SLOBS application source also to the same AUX channel.

I can hear other sounds coming from SLOBS (IE follows etc) but I can't hear browser audio when the 'Control audio via OBS' is selected.

Can someone help? 🙂

Hey all I'm having a bit of trouble with my elgato and could use some help, it's a bit of a confusing issue and a bit difficult one to explain

basically I just got a pc and a dual monitor set up in order to capture switch gameplay footage. However, since my second monitor will only work when it's plugged into the graphics card hdmi that means my primary gaming one is only getting the display port feed and no audio

which was fine as long as I was just using my pc because the audio would get pass through to my second monitor so it didn't matter

however now I'm having a hard time getting all of my game audio as well as the audio from my pc to go to one source, I had it working the way i needed the other day and can't quite remember what I did to get it to work

whenever I switch from my display port to my hdmi input (what the elgato and switch are hooked up to) then I lose my pc audio and get the audio from the device I'm capturing from but can no longer hear audio from my pc

Sorry if this was all long winded and confusing, it feels like a needle in a haystack kind of issue since I'm only just not messing around with pc stuff

Nah, it was frames being choppy and audio also, like it was passing through 240fps but capturing 60, so would only use 1 out of 4 frames

Out of all my testing, which didnt work, the final step that did was to download the Hardware Driver from Elgato website, install that, then it worked. Seems the 4k Capture Utility doesnt update the card which, on the elgato website, says it does, but it didnt haha

Hey is anyone else having problems with their stream decks freezing? Like it shows up with all my icons, but none of the buttons work. I used to be able to fix it by unplugging and replugging, but now it doesn't work at all other than displaying my icons.

Actually now the replugging fix is reworking but it still freezes whenever I restart or turn my computer back on.

Anyone know how to downscale Camlink 4K or if it is possible? Using an a6000 through OBS and the only resoultion the camera outputs is 1080p. Noticing a pretty big hit on my in-game frames while streaming/recording. The 4K capture utility only displays 1080p 60FPS as well and I cannot do anything with the dropdown menu. I have to run the camera at 60FPS or i will get stutters because my cam is outputting 30FPS while the Camlink is capturing 60FPS.

Good morning All! So, my stream comouter decided to update windows. After the update any sound from the stream deck is not playable on my headphones. It was fine before. From Realtek audio drivers is now Microsoft High Definition. I rolled back the driver but now the game sounds are coming from like underwater. Need some assistance. Last week I was recording just fine from my gaming pc onto my laptop using the hd60s. Now using the same settings the recording constantly lags and skips multiple seconds, breaking sound etc.

Nothing has changed since last week and I dont know what to do to fix this. I have tried to reset to factory settings in the 4k program as well but that did not fix the issue.

You need the elgato chat cable, but the CamLink doesn’t have a analog port, so that won’t work. So the only way to hear sound through headphones is using the pc (but that will be delayed)

Anyone know how to sync the game audio with 4K capture utility? I record my gameplay in 4k capture Utility using the 4k60 pro mk2 and when I import the gameplay into Adobe premiere pro to edit it, I notice the audio is off slightly

I love my Wave 3 mic but for some reason it does not connect to the software anymore. I have troubleshoot everything possible and still no connection. The issue here is more probably the motherboard due to how old the platform is. Try different USB 3.0 ports, reinstall drivers: https://gc-updates.elgato.com/windows/drivers/hd60-s/download.php then reboot, and double check with other software if possible like OBS Studio or 4K Capture Utility

If you're using any special plugins, maybe try uninstalling some to see if the issue persists. The plugin could cause it.

The noise? The noise is coming from the camera, but it affects the green screen keying. You likely need more light on the left side.

Lower the shutter speed down to under 1/100 if possible and then lower the ISO as much as you can to clean up the image. This will reduce noise and improve the key.

There is going to be a 100-150ms delay due to processing video from the card, rendering it for the preview and it getting to the software. It's not meant to be played on. Thats why we have the HDMI OUT port on the card for a monitor or TV.

Pretty much. It sort of intercepts the signal to send to the computer. With the HDMI OUT, the card sits between the console and your TV letting you play like normal.

Just got the Razer Kiyo webcam but when I attempt to use it, it says that the camera is already in use.
I have narrowed down the conflict to when I have the Elgato Wave Link software open or at least when the Wave 3 microphone is in use.
When the Elgato software is not in use the camera works perfectly fine, any help? Really concerned about getting this webcam working.

After further investigation the issue is related to the Wave 3 microphone.
I can't use the microphone and my webcam at the same time, there is some sort of conflict and I have no idea what to do.

Hey guys, this feels like a shot in the dark. But maybe someone can help me. I just got the hd60 S+ and im trying to set up a dual pc stream. Ive got the elgato plugged in properly and even displaying my gaming pc monitor on my stream pc via OBS.

However, and this is where things go bad, When i launch a game like Apex or Fortnite - my obs on my stream pc goes black. The only way ive been able to resolve this issue so far is to close the game and restart OBS. Then its fine again until i launch a game. If i launch a game like WoW or Heroes of the Storm, everything is normal and works fine. Any suggestions?

• Update, when I run Apex in a windowed setting, and then restart OBS on my Stream PC. It does display properly on my stream PCs OBS. However, when i change back to full screen on my game, my OBS on my stream PC goes black, then I cannot restore it again until i restart the application.

Ok, I tried search but only got three results and neither seemed to be my solution.

I would like to be able to add a "command" (? I'm new to this) that will enable me to go back up the folder tree. I hope that makes sense but if not here's what I have at the moment.

One folder key opens another folder, from which I can select other folders, let's say I choose the first one again. In this third folder all 32 keys are in use, I will only ever select one of them then I go back up to folder #2 to open a 4th folder. Can I add a command at the end of a multi-task to make the SD "back-up" a folder?

So I know there is a headphone jack to monitor your mic for “talkback”, which I love having because I feel like I yell if I don’t have it and in my previous setup I had it, although it was wired. Hello was wondering I could get help with an issue.

I have a Dual PC set up for gaming/streaming.
My gaming pc runs off of a 3080 with a 1440p monitor.
My streaming Pc is a 2080 with a 1080p monitor.
I use a 4k60 pro capture card in the streaming PC.
Unfortunately, I just can’t get the video right in 4K Utility, Sometimes I get no signal, sometimes I get a portion of my desktop but the rest is a green screen, sometimes it works but my gaming monitor gets really dark and bold in colors. And sometimes, it just works for a bit. I’ve followed every settings I could in Nvidia control panel and through YouTube videos and I can’t figure it out. Almost makes me want to just go back to a single PC set up.

im having issues streaming from PS5 through a HD60s+ with chatlink. My gameplay freezes after about 30 seconds evey time i set it up - I will turn everything off, plug in and turn back on and it does the same again. Or remove the source from OBS and set it up again but the same thing happens. Also, the chatlink seems to only play audio out of one ear of my headset unless i spin it to find the perfect spot

Have you added a capture source in OBS and selected your HD60+? Also try starting 4K capture, once you get your picture and sound, close it. Then open OBS. You can’t have both showing imagine and sound at the same time.

currently having an issue with the Game Capture software: upon trying to record anything at all, I get <1 second of black screen in post. I have fine quality on screen when recording.

Also, if I try to stream to youtube, it will show, but it turned into a powerpoint presentation and interpreted each frame as like a second, giving me an error message that I was "sending multipleseconds of video each second."

Hi all! I stream on twitch and I use obs studio to record and stream. I have a problem though with my audio settings as i use the stream output to my obs but i want to have my game chat audio separate. Basically i would like to record game play and have the option to not include my voice or the voice chat from my discord or game play. Is there a way to do this other than having to play around with the audio inputs within obs and making a specific track for each category within my wavelink software?

if someone has done this before and has settings they would recommend it would be greatly appreciated but im just not sure how to do it in an efficient matter so that the audio still sounds crisp and clear!

I have for my own setup every channel seperate and only like my mic going through stream output in wave link, so far no one complaint about my audio so its working?

Currently i cant show you my setup because im in bed but basicly is just having your channels in wave link like music discord and whatever you want, mute it on stream mix and add them as source in obs as desktop audio (not in settings). Also you need to remove desktop audio from obs settings otherwise you will hear it double.

At the end Just in the obs advanched audio mixer just give out which tracks you want be hearing on stream and which tracks only want to hear in the recording. (I use slobs so idk if the namings are the same)

I have a problem with Wavelink Stream actually sending out sound through OBS. I have set my Mic/Aux as Wavelink Stream but no levels register nor sound is sent out to stream. But if I switch Mic/Aux as Wavelink Monitor then Levels and Sound output just fine to stream. It is a work around right now but it is not something I want to have to do always. Currently I have Monitor as Stream Sound and Stream Sound as Monitor.

Hey guys I have a small problem (I think). I record my gameplay in 4k capture utility and it seems that the farther into the video I get, my audio kind of has a delay and it’s behind the video. Campaign a fighting scene in the beginning of the game to about an hour in the audios are completely different. Is when i switch from my sony camera, to my 4k capture utility. it makes my second pc run extremely slow and makes the camera freeze. Also i am not able to bring up the image into either Streamlabs obs or OBS studio. I'm just not sure if i have the settings right. I am 99% sure i have all the necessary equipment. I only have my streamdeck few days, and my setup is like few months like this. I wanted to listen freely to copyrighted music without that my broadcasted effected it, so at the same times i recorded but i made a little mistake by not including my mic to it 😛 whoops.. also then slobs put out an update about audio tracks and twitch vod and since then i don't have anymore muted audio.

If you have been having an issue installing more actions for over a year i would contact official support. You could also try using a program like revo uninstaller to remove all the stale folders after uninstall. Re-install and see if that works.

Hello, I hope everyone is doing fine, I'm trying here on Discord because I found nothing helpful in Reddit and other places.
I recently acquired an ElGato HD60 S+ and I am trying to use it with my Nintendo Switch.
The device is plugged directly to my USB3 ports on the back of my computer. The "4K Capture Utility" software, or OBS and even VLC seem to recognise the capture card and the preview works fine. However, as soon as I try recording in any way (through OBS's recording or by simply trying to share my screen on Discord, or going live etc.) the link breaks and the capture cards gets no signal until I unplug/replug the device.

Is there any other similar case or an FAQ where such problem was already identified ? I've tried all I could, trying all my USB3 ports, reinstalling the software, trying to update USB3 drivers and now I have nothing,

Hi i bought the standard elgato stream deck and i wanna use it for flight simulator. I binded some hotkeys to it and when i press the button on my keyboard it works well in the game but when i press it on the stream deck it has a delay it takes like 3-4 seconds for the game to register and push the button

That's your mic/pc mix going to your headset. You can change that in the Wave Link software with a slider (click on the down arrow by the Wave3 mic settings) or on the mic itself by clicking the dial button until the third dot is lit, then use the dial - left is to hear more mic, right is to hear the PC. All the way right cuts out mic monitoring altogether.

I will say that sometimes after a reboot that setting goes wonky for me. It'll show the dot as dead center (50/50 mix) but I can't hear the mic until I go to that setting and nudge the dial.

Voicemeeter is a handy little piece of software but it's not terribly intuitive. I did manage to talk a 65 year old friend of mine who's not very computer literate through setting it up to separate his Teamspeak from his stream audio though. I probably should get a presidential medal of freedom for that. 😆

The wavelink software is much, MUCH easier. Combine it with a stream deck and you don't have to look lustily at that 500 dollar GoXLR anymore unless you're ready to heavily invest in a more "pro" setup. Happy streaming!

You can right going to the 4K60 Pro properties in OBS, then setting Buffering from automatic to Enabled.

However if you're getting lots of buffering the scene might be overloading somewhere. Do you have a complex scene?

So you get a signal in OBS, everything is fine and then when you click on record in OBS it drops signal? Very odd since the card doesn't really know when OBS is recording or not. So I think it's something else in the computer.

I'm using the HD60 Pro, and I seem to be having an issue with the Game Capture HD software.
I'm trying to capture from my Nintendo Switch- And it was working just fine until last night, but when I tried to use it tonight, it's suddenly not working.
I double checked with OBS, and the capture card itself is working- Audio and video.
But when I try to use the Game Capture HD software, it either gets black-screen no video but with audio, or hangs on 'detecting signal' and the 'One moment please' splash screen.
I like to use the Game Capture HD software because that lets me no-hassle stream to Discord and get audio in my headset.
I tried reinstalling the software, manually reinstalling the driver, restarting my PC, and none of that worked. I also haven't done any updates or made any notable changes to my computer's drivers, nor any hardware or other changes of note.

Well, I don't know anymore even without discord and everything started, it crashes, something seems to disconnect my peripherals briefly when I do specific things (like the screen share or recording) and it affects my mic and capture card. I fixed my issue, it was linked to this USB drop-out thing. It was hard to find anything concrete with so little and specific details but here I go. I switched my PCI settings to gen 3 and I'm good now, if anyone comes with a similar issue, this might help you, thank you again !

that method didn't work because my laptop wouldn't extend to my monitor, so now i now i plugged in the hd60s+ and that goes

gpu hdmi plugged into hd60s+ usb-c plugged into hd60s+ plugged into laptop using regular usb

Hey, not quite sure what just happened, maybe you can help, I normally use my elgato with my ps4, but I swapped it over to my switch today and at first it worked, but when I went to change it to switch in the settings it got stuck on one of the loading messages, then I closed and reopened game capture hd, and it was frozen on initializing, then finally I started Game Capture Hd with the elgato disconnected, and now, even after restarting the software multiple times, nothing I do will get the elgato to register, it just says no capture devices found. Keep in mind I've had no issues with this device up until now, and I know my drivers are up to date.

When I plug in the device it flashes twice with a blue light and then sits idle

Hi everyone! I have a 15 button stream deck, and wanted to ask for help with a multi-action command I've been working on. I have everything set the way I need; but one thing. How do I use the 'System' action or hot key to mute/un-mute a Firefox web browser?

I have songs playing as BGM for my stream, but sometimes I want to mute/un-mute it without having to navigate to the browser tab - and the multi action works great - with the exception of how to get it to mute sound from that one browser.

I have been having a problem with my HD60s+. The white lights that come on when it turns on used to turn off after a few seconds I started streaming. Now the white light just stay on and the 4k capture utility says that the HD60s+ is busy. I have tried rebooting and even reinstalling the software but am having no luck. I contacted elgato support also but they have not been able to offer any help either. Any Ideas?

If you have video from your capture but no sound, try this:

Go to your Mixer area and edit settings.. Pick Advanced Audio Properties and set Audio Monitoring to Monitor and Output.only.

Because the way I've done it was through a different app - not streamdeck directly... but afterwards I was able to run it through the streamdeck @calm heart

I am looking for a solution that works with stream decks directly because that was only an example. Another would be allowing commands or redeems to change what scene you are showing.

Well in that case I'm not sure the best way to incorporate that via Stream deck only. I DO know that this can be done with MiU app - which can allow chat to run the command(s) then also be loaded into the Stream deck for you to run the command(s) if you wish. If you're interested let me know.

Are there any known issues around using the Wave Link Stream as the mic/aux output on Mac (M1 Mac Mini)? I'm trying to do that (to mix in my voice, spotify audio, and game audio), and any recorded / streamed audio I'm getting is choppy/robotic/distorted (it sounds like static that's repeating itself). I tried on Streamlabs OBS, regular OBS, and even Twitch Studio and the output is the same. That usually fixes sound not being heard on my end. You may need to try this on Desktop Audio as well.

Hey guys, so I've been trying to stream with an Elgato HD S capture card on my Switch for a while to play some SSBU on stream, however keep running into an audio issue where I can't have my headphones connected to the switch AND capture game audio to the card and my streaming software at the same time. I'm using a Steelseries Arctis 7 Headset (wireless with included Bluetooth Dongle) and connecting an AUX cable from the Dongle into the Switch. When I do this, any audio being transmitted to the capture card to my computer completely halts. I've tried just listening to the audio from my streaming software and playing off of projector mode, however run into the problem of about a second of desync, which kinda messes me up in anything competitive. Is there any easy fix to this problem? I've read something about buying a separate piece of audio equipment that I plug both the switch and elgato into, but wasn't sure what it was/was hoping there was just a fix I might have been missing instead. Also for refference, The other HDMI is connected to an HDMI switcher that I can use to swap my main monitor between my PC display, and my Switch Display.

Managed to find a somewhat fix thank's to the help of an Elgato tech; I changed my input settings on my capture card to "Listen to this device" and was able to get sound recording and playing through my headphones with minor delay (still about .3 seconds but honestly not the worst)

Hi there, I recently received my new Elgato HD60 S+. So far everything works. At least for a few seconds. I restart my PC because of "Your device is already used by another software" to 20% works the restart and at the 80 other percent comes "No device could be found" If now but these 20% arrive then everything works great until about 20/30 seconds, then I get freeze I close it via the task manager and after what feels like 10 years "One moment please" appears with me "YOUR DEVICE IS ALREADY USED BY ANOTHER SOFTWARE"... I am in a vicious circle...

Ps: the same thing happens when I start Streamlabs or obs. I have tried a lot with programs open & without.... Is it my mbps? or "VoiceMeeter" or Kaspersky or something else that starts after 30 seconds?

Hey everyone, is there a known fix for if the console feed will only display on the monitor when the PC is off?
while my PC is on, it shows in the game capture window but refuses to display on my monitor, but once i shut down the PC it pops up just fine.
(i got this working some time in the past, but it felt like every time I went to stream i needed to invent a new fix. this is round 9 not exaggerating, but I'm stumped this time)

in typing my last edit.... i legit just unplugged my output HDMI cable and flipped it around and it works now....... i will leave this here in hopes that it may help someone else having the same problem
Re-Reupdate: I was testing it on my second monitor for ease, but i usually play/stream from my main monitor. in trying to switch it over (just replugging the connection) its back to not working...(will update my progress)
Rex3-update: it seems that unplugging the [cable out] and replugging it seems to work in general. if your monitor automatically switches away from unused signals, you may need to time it looking for signal to replugging the device, but it seems that it is working (for now at least)

I made the mistake of setting the audio source of a game in windows when I should have set it in game, and now I can't get windows to go back to default, and stay at default for that source. Every time I open the game. I have to mess around with the audio source. How to I make Windows forget my output for that game? I clicked reset both in the windows audio manager, and in the game, and it still isn't keeping the audio device set to default.

So the issue is: I use in a "preview mode" (I guess it named like that) and the delay is not pleasant at all.

@wet ivy you could put default sound as aux 1, and have it play for stream. Sometimes my PC games have an issue via game vs default. See if that helps. I think I encounter the same when I get them, but I just acknowledge when I hear it. granted I prefer the alerts to be on stream too.

I saw the Elgato HD60S+ should work without any driver or software installed, that's why I bought it. ( I also try to connect it trough my HUB with USB C- USB 3. ( My computer only got 2 USB C ports )

Are you using OBS? If so, you have to add it as an audio source, like you did your mic. Unless you’re using Wavelink with a Wave mic. Then it should come through the stream, if you configured it via Wavelink.

This weekend I also bought the Elgato Cam link 4k so I can use a DSLR camera as a webcam and it seems like trying to use both devices at once is not working very well. I usually have a public discord chat for others to join for a community stream, and a separate private one for friends, that way they can chat too, and I use the wavelink software to enable Discord on voice chat via stream, but if you don't have a Wave mic, you can still setup discord as a mic input in OBS. 😉 Hope that helps.

I ran into this so many times. Try uninstalling Streamdeck's software, and reinstalling after a reboot. Also make sure Stream Elements is installed in the correct location. I use to have this happen a lot if OBS wasn't in the correct folder area. if it doesn't show up in game, make sure you have aux 1 as an input so you can hear the game as long as your default is aux 1. I have the same issue with GTAV

(I just opened an official support case for this but reposting here in hopes that anyone can offer any kind of recommendations for this suuuuuuuuuper annoying issue)

I’m running a 2-PC streaming set up, and am having an issue with a “flicker/capture card loss of connection” screen when I switch into and out of full screen on the gaming PC. That is to say, when I toggle full screen on my game, the streaming PC momentarily displays the elgato “no signal” screen. Sometimes it’s just a blip and sometimes it lasts several seconds.

I’ve tried a million things to make it stop, but have not had and lasting success. Any help is totally appreciated!!

The gaming PC is using 1440P 144Hz monitor and connected via display port to the 3090 video card. HDMI from the 3090 to the elgato card on the streaming PC.

Okay, i managed to borrow a friends USB C to 3.0 cable that came with his elgato, and now in game capture it says device is in use by other software. As far as i know, game capture was the only program i had running. Although I do have streamlabs OBS, it wasnt open.

Try rebooting, and unplug the capture device for 1 min, and plug back in. See if that helps. Usually a reboot helps.

Also it could be the cable, or device, and if it’s a bad cable try a different one. If it’s not the cables you might have to open a support ticket. Other thing, is is USB 3.0 on the usb port? Try other USB ports see if it helps.

If you meant Browser Source, yes, I just tested here and is possible. I'm using SLOBS and I added a Mixer Audio action and pointed to my Browser Source and I can mute/unmute.

Sup guys. I added some buttons for spamming Q/W/E/R via Super Macro / Sticky Keystroke. Seems to work fine when I use it in Word or Notepad for example - but the main meaning for those buttons is to spam units in Age of Empires. It just doesn't work and I don't know why.
