I've been looking around to try to find information on the wave 3 and using it with my xbox one and hd60s cap card. I primarily use xbox party chat and up to now have had a headset with the a mic. Looking at the wave 3 due to the software and other capabilities, and just want to make sure that they will work together with no issues. Hey guys quick tech question: Got 2 key light air installed (via android app) and after installing the app on my PC (which doesn't have wifi adapter) it doesn't recognize them. The documentation says that as long as your PC is on the same network as the previously installed lights (via mobile), it should be able to recognize them. No luck so far. Any pointers?

so i just bought and unboxed a brand new elgato 4k60 s+, and i have no signal from my ps4 pro or my xbox series s, ive tried using my own hdmi cables that ive been using forever now, i used the one that came with the box and it doesnt work, ive plugged the usb thing into the thingy and plugged it directly into the wall and i plugged the other usb thingy Into the usb 3.0 on my computer that i have used numerous times with other capture cards, and yet i still get no signal

Is anyone else still having issues with Wave Link on M1 Macs? The chart says fully compatible through Rosetta 2 but man my experience is really buggy.

Like if I switch my monitoring output to say, my speakers, and then back to my headphones connected to the Wave 3, all I get are pops.

And now my audio is all distorted. Ugh.

What a disaster. If I can't fix this I'm going to have to sell this mic and start all over from scratch.

Why do you always specifically ask about 5+ hour shutdowns? Yeah it’s good to shutdown (or restart) now and then, but there is no reason to make it that long specifically.

For 5 hours or more? Fairly recently. I moved not too long ago and my electronics were all unplugged/shutdown for a day or two. it was working before that just fine.

A CPU doesn’t really need ‘rest time’. Even consumer equipment these days can handle tens of thousands of hours uptime without even a restart. The problem is operating systems, where just a quick restart will suffice in 99% of cases.

Restarting does work but if that doesn’t work it’s because of that. Sometimes the CPU just does not work, so you need to leave it shut down for a few hours. This helps reboot all software on the computers, including the unnecessary files that can slow down the computer

Just checked and the USB is wired directly into a USB 3.0 port.

If you can see it as an input in OBS then in essence the software is working. It’s just failing to display the application

It may be worth using something such as CCleaner to uninstall the program and wipe out all its registry settings. Then restart the machine, redownload the latest version of game capture from the Elgato website and restart when done.

Something could possibly have corrupt or gone missing which the system relies on to display the application and sometimes the standard Windows uninstall dialogue doesn’t go deep enough to rectify these little issues

Yeah that’s fine. Use their uninstall for the game capture. Then have it scan the registry and fix any issues it finds

Sometimes Windows just likes to screw about with us, even from something as little as changing a USB port or installing a new piece of software you can easily have something else stop working.

I'm noticing an issue with the Elgato Key Light implementation in the Streamdeck. The Control Center "On/Off" function on the streamdeck seems to toggle the lights on and off regardless of their current state when used in a MultiAction.

If my Key Lights are on, and I send the Function "Key Lights - On" in a Multi-Action, the lights turn off.

I don't think this is intended functionality. But perhaps there's something I'm missing? Or if this is already known and to-be-fixed, please let me know!

When I record on the elgato 4K capture utility (2 pc setup) my games always drop frames while recording and I can’t figure out why. I have reduce preview frame rate unchecked and I record at 4k60 but obviously it won’t do 60fps for some reason. My recording pc has an i9 9900k and a 2080ti in it, it’s the creator PC from NZXT. Still having issues with EpocCam not connecting to my computer. Happens over WiFi or USB. The "fix" is to uninstall and reinstall my EpocCam drivers on my PC. If I close the app and reopen, it will no longer connect.

I have a Wave 3, it's a separate source into my OBS so I can add some filters to it. I play some horror/scary games and I frighten easy so I end up screaming. I know the wavelink has a clipguard. However, when I played back a stream, I noticed after a second or two my scream cut out completely. I think it's a filter I did in OBS, but would the clipguard just shut the audio off completely till I'm finished screaming my lungs out? Or would it just like dampen it?

How does your PC match up to minimum and recommended specs? If it's on the low end, your computer probably can't handle recording all too well. Also, if you're low on storage, your PC will start to drag.

@nocturne cedar the only way to monitor without a delay is explained during installation and you have already mentioned the solution yourself.
If you don’t use the 3.5mm jack on the mic, there is a delay. There is no way to ‘fix’ that, it’s how the audio routing works.

I'm having an odd issue with my Cam Link 4K (and my Key Lights, but that's another story for another day). What is happening is after a certain amount of time - I haven't been able to nail down what the trigger is - all of my audio becomes what my audience calls "warbled". I call it scratchy, but it affects everything - microphone, system sounds, game sound, etc. The only thing I've been able to find that fixes this issue when it happens is disabling then re-enabling the video capture source for the Cam Link 4K in SLOBS. Restarting SLOBS also fixes it, but that ends my stream, so I try not to do that unless it's an extreme circumstance. Anyone else run into this issue and know what the fix is?

the HD60Pro can't be passed into a VM guest via PICe-passthrough - it just doesn't like it, it does get properly detected, shows up fine in device manager , all drivers and software installs fine, it then just doesn't work.
so my question is: has this been resolved with the camlinkpro, can that one be passed through into a guest VM?
as, unfortunately, that's a major KO criteria for me.... 😕

But I won't Fully know about that Until my 3.0 USB PCI expansion card comes in the mail.

Anyone with a streamdeck experience an issue where the buttons will suddenly lose their connection mid-stream and just stop working? Quite frequently while streaming, my streamdeck will randomly just stop working for certain buttons like chat message and Wave link audio control. When I click them, the just give the Yellow ! logo over the button and the only way I've found to repair the connection is by completing killing the process and re-opening the app. Anyone know of a permanent fix as it's a pretty bad bug for hardware that's I rely on heavily throughout the course of a stream... (I'm using a Stream Deck XL for reference)

Not a permanent fix per se but I ran into this issue the other day. If you click each icon in the stream deck app it should reset them without having to reset the program. Let me know if that helps

So when I have my game sound coming in through the system settings, the stream and I can hear it fine. However on the viewers end the music from my browser and the stream sound a bit muffled. Like they are coming in a bit quiet. In Apex legends i cant hear the footsteps of my character. However i can hear it on my end. Is there something on my end? The volume is already at max level.
Also when I tell obs to capture the desktop sound, its fine. Sound might be a bit delayed. But i can hear everything more clearly.

Do a local recording and compare it to what your stream produces. You may just need to tinker with the audio mixer.

I'm using the 4K60 Pro MK.2 with the 4K Capture Utility to capture 4K60 HDR from a PS5 and XSX, but I keep getting choppy footage, though to a different degree depending on the preset I use: fast, balanced or best; the better the preset, the choppier the footage. This on a RTX 3090 with a 5900X and 32GB ram recording to a 980 Pro. The issue seems to be independent of what bit rate I use and more so dependent on the preset. Any idea what might be causing it?

Not sure what you are asking, but...:
Anything you do on your computer will require compute power and thus take up resources, so you will always "take" away some performance or in this case fps and would need to use a secondary system to stream from to avoid that, if you are playing and streaming on the same system. However, if you are asking how to avoid fps loss from your stream then you will have to alter the settings to fit what your system and internet connection is capable of.

Hey guys, I'm having an issue with the HD60 S+ I have it plugged into USB 3.0 (the only one that will work for the card), However after like 15-20minutes the card stops displaying on my pc. It still passes through to my TV but stops on my PC. I try uninstalling and reinstalling the Elgato software for it. Ive Manually installed the drivers. I've tried Unplugging and replugging it in while my pc is on But I then get a no signal issue. I hoping its a Band with issue because of all the USBs on the back of my pc. However is there any other fixes I can try before my USB 3 expansion card gets here?

Hello! I have a dual PC set up and am using the Elgato 4k60Pro capture card. I have plugged an HDMI cable into the gaming PC graphics card and the other end plugged into the Elgato "IN" port on my streaming PC. I am still receiving a "No Signal" message. elgato's game capture tool is really starting to piss me off. about a week ago, i recorded and streamed something on my ps5, only to see that the output has video issues and the audio was corrupted. i asked if there was a way to fix it, came to terms with the death of the video, and moved on. today, i recorded and streamed again, only this time i used obs to record as a fail-safe. and again, the video was corrupted, but this time i have a flawless copy thanks to obs. but it pisses me off because there's no way to know why it happens. i never lose signal during the recording, i never close the app, my settings are fine according to the extent of my knowledge, its just so confusing

is there a specific reason why the application that came with the capture card i bought is failing?

For some reason, my elgato game capture software it use to work good, now it like it cant connect anymore. Whenever I try to use it, it says cant connect to my pc and when also sometimes when i record, it like gets all glitched up. Can someone help me fix, is it because my wires or something.

I just checked for an update for my base model stream deck, I even tried to dl the installer from the website. Everytime I try to update OR run this installer I get this message:

Having a strange issue with my 4K60 Pro MK2, I'm running my PS5 through a HDMI splitter and then into the 4K60 Pro, It's showing in the software fine but not on my monitor.

Morning everyone! I am looking for advice/recommendations regard Streamlabs OBS. I want to pick up a Elgato Streamdeck to allow me to rather than going through all the windows to adjust audio volume for my sources, simply press a button and it does it on the fly

The problem is Elgato Stream Deck's software has Slobs, but only mutes/unmutes audio sources. No volume adjustments.

I could do it via Wave Link which will allow me to do it but only to everything but the Elgato Game Capture HD60S (it helps with my mic, discord and PC Gaming so that is good!)

So my need for help are any ideas/recommendations to utilizing an Elgato Stream Deck with Slobs to adjust Audio source volumes for console gaming. Any ideas for solutions or other stream deck software?

Hello all! i have had my Stream Deck and K100 Corsair Keyboard for a week or two and I love them! I am however struggling with a few conflictions. Between the K100 and Stream (they do the same thing) I am having issues with the assigned buttons loading the plugins or activating the feature. It says "Unable to load Elgato Plugin please reinstall Stream Deck". I have seen forums where they talk about this and how to fix it. I do those things and no luck. I put everything on C drive. updated BIOS and all software, loaded software every combination I can. Most of them now work consistently except OBS 26.1.1. any other ideas? Thank you so much. as of right now I cannot get Stream Deck or K100 G keys to respond to OBS + Lights + Mic, even the ICUE doesn't all ways work. I also forced window not to auto load programs on start up so i could manually start them in certian orders, that helped some but still can not get OBS to work.. It has however worked before. Massive update but I do not recommend anyone (consumers) doing this unless they know what they are doing with their Windows 10 install, something messed up my permissions for access to my TEMP folder in my AppData > Local folder. It was blocking me from installing ANYTHING or uninstalling anything, not just the stream deck software because I troubleshot this idea too! No virus, rootkids, etc were detected on my system. I had to read a guide on many things to try for this error so if you are not comfortable messing with this kind of stuff, I would recommend taking your system to a friend, family, or non geeksquad repair group to check this issue out. Once I followed about 3 of the steps (2 did not affect anything but the 3rd did which was editing the permissions on my TEMP folder in the AppData > Local Folder) and it works now, the update installed just fine and I was able to install other programs on my system as well! Wanted to report the findings here so if anyone else comes along w/ these issues to know its not the Stream deck or the installer having the issues is a permission block of some sort, not sure how it happened.

Part 1. I have Sony A7Siii (overkill but already own) i wanna use 4k60, none of the camLINKs seem to support that, however i've seen 4K60 Pro mk.2 (capture card) does. Would that treat input HDMI (from camera) with no output connected work and create camera source I can use?

Yet the software is only allowing me to have 15 buttons not 6 (for a mini) or 32 (for a large)

@quiet linden Just wanted to update ya, I got it fixed. The issue was HDCP blocking the capture from the Elgato. The fix simply was to hard power cycle the main monitor that the Elgato was mirrored with. The HDCP protocols on the monitor were messing with the capture. Without a Stream Deck connected, the software shows 15 keys. It won't change until a 6 key or 32key is added. Once you connect the XL it will show all 32keys to edit.

Edit 1h later: Ok it seems that it's the Nvidia Shadowplay that cause this. It desapear when i stop the Instant replay...

Hey guy i figured out what was wrong with my Stream deck "missing plug in" error message. i had tried everything i could find on the help page from Elgato. My brother showed me a way to all ways load as administrator and now it works fine. The Plugin in OBS 26.1.1 64bit wasnt loading via "tools" list. Seems to be good now.

So I'm having an issue connecting my Switch to my OBS on my laptop through the Elgato HD 60 S. I have the HDMI cord connected from my Switch to the "in" port of the HD 60 S, and my USB 3.0 from the "in" port in the HD 60 S to my laptop's USB 3.0 port. I have a "video capture device" source set up with an "Elgato Game Capture HD" as the device. “Game Capture HD60 S (video) #01” should be appearing as the device and should be the correct device, according to the Elgato website, which is strange because it isn't appearing as an option, and the device I mentioned that I was using earlier has the ability to attempt to connect. When I do try to connect, it says "Game capture hd 60 s needs to be connected to a UBS 3.0 port to function properly", even though I have a USB 3.0 connected. What's happening? (sorry this is rly long but I wanted to explain everything)

How could I set it up with Discord so that others can hear my soundboard on the sfx channel? The only way I can think to do so would be to have my output device on Discord be the Wavelink stream mix and just mute the chat channel so that the other person won't hear themselves... Buuut that kind of won't work when I have someone in VC during a livestream

Hi, can anyone help me out with my Elgato, please? I bought a chat link for the Elgato & on stream labs the audio is coming through the Mic/Aux & not desktop audio, how do I fix this?

The audio comes through my headset fine, it shows in Game Capture there is game audio, but just doesn't come through as desktop audio through my speakers

1. drivers needs to be updated
2. your videocard it to weak or needs an update.
3. bad hmdi cable
4. bad settings in your elgato

just read the setup. elgato gets the power from the usb cable if thats what you mean. you only need 2 hmdi not 3.
