I found out the issue for those curious as well as how to get the HD60 pro to work. The solution was disabling the HDCP setting in the ps4, then I was having no issue with the capture card.

@snow shell you want to plug in the hdmi of the system you are trying to capture into the IN channel of your capture card, then with the second HDMI plug in the out of the capture card into your monitor.

Anyone a Wiz with Elgato Capture Card/Driver settings. I've got a 4k60 mk2 installed in my PC. I'm having issues where the sound delay coming to the stream and me is about 0.5 seconds behind the action in the game. For platforms and story games its not a massive issue but in FPS like Warzone it makes a huge difference. When I get shot before I've got the audio cue I'm already half dead 😂 . I've done some searching on forums and this does seem to be a recurring issue. People have suggested installing different drives to the most recent released ones but I still seem to have the issue. Anyone experienced this and been able to fix?

Currently streaming using a 4K60 Pro Mk2 installed internally to capture audio/video from PS5

I'm not using PlayStation chat but discord to squad up

All audio is being routed through my PC.
By using Vipers suggestion of connecting my headset to the PlayStation direct, the pc will no longer pick up the audio and I lose the pc sounds (music, discord, stream output)
If I'm understanding what Chat link is, that's for wanting to use PS chat?

Hi All, Sorry to bother you. I hope someone can help.
I recently got a 4k pro and I am having trouble setting it up. It is plugged into the PCIe slot and the white light is on. The HDMI cables both work as I have tested them.
However I cannot get any signal either to the elgato capture software which says "No capture device found" or my monitor which just shows a black screen meaning no input.
Does anyone have any advice?
I have tried the FAQs but none of the suggestions seem to have changed anything

Shouldn't be the case if the program recognizes it, are you using 4K Capture or Game Capture

I don't have the time to help you right now but try unplugging everything from the Elgato and open Game Capture , from there it should say that there is no device found. Connect the USB cable to the Elgato and from there it should prompt an error about no HDMI. From there follow the steps from my previous message on the order in which you should connect them

That's what worked for me but there could be some other solutions and it would be best to raise a ticket with the support as 3.0 is a very generic error by the looks of it

My motherboard has only 3.1 ports so that shouldn't be an issue for the Elgato. Also go through the settings of the app and see if you spot something out of the ordinary (eg. 4k being set as resolution, while the HD60 S supports up to 1080/60

I’m seeing on Elgato’s website to try every USB port to see if it’ll work on another. Additionally, if you have a lot of devices connected via USB, try having the Elgato be the only thing connected aside from keyboard/mouse as it could overload the USB controller in your motherboard.

A friend of mine is having a weird problem with his stream deck, where every time his computer is turned on or woken up, Windows will recognize it and show that nothing is wrong, but the software will not detect it being plugged in.
The only way we've found to fix it is by forcing the software to close via Task Manager and then restarting it. Which is starting to get annoying

I tried it on my own computer. My stream deck doesn't do that, and his doesn't do it on my PC either

I got an hd60 pro a few weeks back. I deduced that sometimes when i boot my switch (only console i capture) and monitor audio thru the elgato software, I get crackling. It's not an issue if i boot the software after the console is on. but i feel like im getting small crackles here and there. any specific info out there on this?

Did you try switching which port you plugged it into? Change anything in Device Manager? Unplugging other things that were plugged in via USB? Change the way HDMI cords were connected?

Interesting, I tend to have the issues when my pc goes in/out of sleep mode a few times a day. I’ve tried changing sleep/power settings, didn’t work. For me just force closing both apps and reopening works but that’s the end all fix ofc. Has that fix been a solid or temporary one?

Hmmm - Really odd problem with the Wave Mic last night.

Audio would not route through certain inputs within Wavelink - Tried multiple sources within the sound settings (Browser Youtube, Spotify, Discord, A game operating in a sep window etc).

Basically, routing any of the above through any of the below resulted in the following.... By this, I mean selecting them as the "Output" in App Volume and Device Preferences

I've Tried

Updating Wavelink (Build 2328)

Removing / Reinserting the Mic (I do this anyway as I operating the Mic and headphones through a USB switch. I've bodged a solution by routing Spotify through Aux 2 at the moment... but I now have a bunch of Audio devices that will not route audio to Wavelink....

Good morning Elgato family, I have been experiencing issues lately with my Stream Deck. The first issue is that my screen will go black out of no where. When I press a button, it gives me the green triangle with !. I then force close Stream Deck app and restart with no issues for a while, then it will happen again. The second and most irritating issue is that when I try to use the Twitch plug-in items like ads, clear chat, clip to chat, etc., they all give me the same error on screen. When running ads, it says that the channel needs to be a partner or affiliate channel, in which I am an Affiliate. The last issue lately is with my Wavelink program and the Stream Deck. If I have the Wavelink software open, the Steam Deck tells me that I need to have it open even though it is. Can anyone assist?

@south bronze Depends on what games your trying to record. I have the same graphics card as you. It's an entry-level graphics card meaning you won't be able to stream/record all games due to your computer not being able to handle them. I've tried it. Minecraft, Roblox, and Small Games like Stardew Valley work for recording with little lag. But if you start recording big games that require a lot of graphics. I'm sorry to say it will not work. Examples: GTAV, Sims 4, Heavy Shooting Games. From personal experience I have struggled to record the majority of games on Steam due to the Intel HD Graphics 620 not being enough to handle it. Do note that I have a Intel Core i7 and 16GB RAM. So I imagine the situation will be more difficult for you since you have less processing power. What really makes the difference in recordings is your Graphics Card. I can play some games just fine, but once I start recording. It starts buffering and lagging like crazy. So again, it depends on what kind of games your trying to record.

I am having a real issue. I have a 4k pro. I couldn't get any signal. I tried restarting the computer and deactiving and reactivating the card.
I tried unistalling the drivers as per some of the advice and now the drivers won't reinstall.
Does anyone have any advice?

@south bronze I can only speak in regards to PC, since I tested it before. But I don't have a console so unfortunately I can't give a clear answer on that. I imagine the situation would be similar. But that's just my guess. I would suggest looking online for Intel 620 Graphics card verified tests against a console for a definite answer.

Quick question, having audio drift with Elgato 4k60 and haven't been able to sort the issue in a week of attempts in obs studio, if I were to buy a mixer could I simply bypass this issue entirely?

Haven't had an Elgato internal card that works with reccomended settings yet so need a fix that doesn't include it

The HD60s does make it less stressful but it's NOT an insane amount to the point where you can play every single game no problem. Recording performance mainly depends on Graphics Card in my opinion. Elgato helps but you need the PC to support the game as well.

Plug source directly into a monitor, set it to something you know your monitor can do, then plug it back into the cap card, as for the driver issue I have no clue but that's just a no signal issue I encountered

Sadly no. None of that troubleshooting was able to resolve the issue and neither did the test version they sent me. They say they have been unable to duplicate the issue and said they’re looking into it still but it might be a long while before there is a further update.

Question, my friend just recently purchased the HD60s and for some reason, he is unable to record footage from his games. The timer at the bottom of the screen remains at 00:00:00 even after hitting the record button and fails to save after selecting end recording. Any thoughts or fixes would be appreciated!

If you want to pull the audio directly from the 4K60 Pro into OBS you can open the source properties and at bottom of the window will be a checkbox to use custom audio device. Select it an a dropdown will appear below it. Set this dropdown to the 4K60 Pro and you should be getting the basic HDMI audio.

I'm afraid I can't be of much help if you're routing through the GoXLR. There's to much variability in user configuration and I'm not the most familiar with the device.

This often means it's unable to begin the encoding process. Go into GCHD Preferences on the top right, then the advanced tab, and then try changing the encoder and decoder to some other selection.

So the Soundbar is playing audio from the PC by default. It's your "speakers" for the PC.

4K Capture Utility when playing back the audio? But you're hearing this audio when running OBS, but OBS is not showing it capturing audio from the card?

Well yes and no. The GoXLR uses "Broadcast Stream Mix" for stream audio so you can exclude some software if you want.

This is a rare issue. For whatever reason, it seems the file is named improperly. The file normally has an underscore between "Stream" and "Deck". You may need to rename the file to remove that underscore.

I think you should remove the GoXLR from the equation, at least temporarily. Audio can be very complicated to troubleshoot on our end due to so many variables. I'm not sure what your setup is. But if audio is coming into 4KCU like it should, but in OBS then getting some logs from a test session would be very useful.

If you attach headphones or a headset to the Nintendo Switch while it is in the Nintendo Switch Dock, then audio will not pass through to the HDMI output. That means that audio will not reach your Elgato Game Capture HD60 S, or the passthrough TV or display.

This is due to how the Nintendo Switch is designed. Only Nintendo can fix that issue.

If you remove your headset or headphones, then the problem will go away.

• there's a ringing in the background
• the same setup doesnt work on my Mac, and i cant stream off this other old computer
• whenever the el gato is plugged into my Windows PC, the PC won't output audio for me to monitor it (I need to check out my stream on a different computer to listen to the capture)
• and for some reason, probably a separate issue, my CAD Audio mic is registered as a device in the software, Commentary is turned on, but its not picking up any sound, as there is no blinking light indicating its recording anything

I have been streaming for a bit. The quality is meh, but not super shit, but it has a bit of blur and such which makes is sorta bad to look at. I have settled with Software as the GPU one is not viable with the RTX games i play and other demanding titles fighting for GPU power against streamlabs. i stream at 720p 30fps with 3000 bitrate set, my speeds are at 4.10 UPLOAD. However, my stream alternates between 2500 - 3000, then drops around 3000 and then can go lower than 2000 if it gets THAT bad. I am wondering if i can get a consistent speed with a better wifi card than this tp link usb one or just use ethernet. I am in the process of changing my speeds, but i could be waiting until June sadly. if there's a lower quality setting that i can do, please recommend something i can until i can switch networks. hello! I have an issue I was wondering if anyone else has encountered and, if so, how I can fix it? I just bought the 4k60 pro mk 2 a week or so ago and I have a weird issue. If I open the capture utility I can see whatever console I have attached just fine. Have no issues there etc, however, the SECOND I try to start streaming (be it on discord or on twitch), the capture utility starts flashing NO SIGNAL and back to my game on and off. Further, while streaming, it will also say NO SIGNAL on occasion, and pop back up with the screen kind of cut in half? like the right 1/8th of the screen will show up on the left side of my capture utility screen. my specs are ryzen 5 3600x, 16GB 3200 RAM, RTX 3070.

After watching the VOD from Twitch that you linked, it looks perfectly fine for 720p. The little blur you see is the video being at 720p and not at 1080p. The setting look fine, although if you wanted, you could set it from Advanced to Simple and just use the optimized settings from SLOBS.

As for your connection, I would recommend using an ethernet cable. You could run one from your wireless router to your PC. Check the speeds with the ethernet cable before you go and try to up your speeds by switching to a higher internet tier with your ISP.

Just tested a few more things: I have an HDMI splitter and switcher and a variety of cables and testing has shown that no matter what combination of cables/length/splitter or no/switcher or no, I still wind up with a flashing NO SIGNAL and some weird video issues if I try. I have changed the output settings in the software, tried removing drivers and reinstalling, all no go

issue persists on series x, ps5, and nintendo switch, which is all the consoles i currently own

Been trying to find a solution for a while and I can't seem to find one and was hoping someone could help. My gaming PC has a 5120x1440 monitor. I have a HDMI cable from that 3090 to my Elgato 4k m2 capture care in my streaming computer. However, when I mirror the displays, my main monitor (the 49" 5120x1440), looses all resolution and decreases it to 1920x1080. How can I keep my gaming monitor at its resolution while the game capture remains at 1920x1080?

In the 4K capture utility, it should allow you to change capture resolution

But the capture card might not support that resolution

decided to do a little more tinkering as I had to pull the 4k60 pro out to get the part number and popped the old HD 60 back in and yeah, that works fine. I stream on Twitch from my newer macbook pro but I use Bootcamp to run Windows... so my mac functions like a PC and I stream all my programs through windows, but all of my accessories I plugged into HUBS and the hubs plug into my USB-C ports on my laptop (quirky... i know)

my camlink 4k and my HD60S+ just stopped working the other day... they show up as "options" on OBS (my streaming program) but the screen remains black... or my PS5 shows up but freezes immediately.

I tried undownloading and redownloading the elgato capture program and that did nothing, I've always switched around plugins, ports, and cords like crazy. I even tried it on my OS (not windows) and that did not either.

I've been streaming for 5+ months with only minimal connectivity issues on occasion (I just have to replug in cord or something simple to fix) ... I don't know if I need to buy a new hub or my ports aren't working right but everything else I plug into my hubs works fine but obvi doesnt take up as much power....

PLEASE HELP! I just ran out of unemployment money and I am using streaming money to save up to buy a car so I can start delivery driving or drive to get a job (I just had to move back in with my parents because COVID and now I'm in the burbs with no car!) so this tech problem is hurting me on an emotional stress level beyond just the normal annoyance and stress of tech issues... I want to love elgato but finding troubleshooting ideas has been VERY DIFFICULT... please help 😦

Hey! That is a StreamLabs OBS issue, not an HD60 issue.
I don’t know much about StreamLabs as I only use normal OBS.
You may just wanna uninstall and reinstall StreamLabs

My laptop has 4 USB-C ports and that's it. The best I could do it buy 2 individual USB 3 to USB-C ports to plug into the laptop.

The hub and the laptop ports all work properly with internet/HDMI monitor/keyboard/mouse/etc

i dont think you cant get out with it. the hgher resolution th emore ltency you have. you need to comprimise that to adjust it in obs.

Hey friends. I'm having an issue with my HD60 Pro and my Wii.

It's stuck here on "one moment please"

But OBS will display it (Not open at the same time)

Everything else plugged into my HDMI switch works just fine. The Wii used to and then just stopped.

Yes, Switch must be docked. It uses the HDMI connection...currently I don’t believe there’s any product that plugs into the switch itself to output a video signal

win+R -> UserAccountControlSettings -> set the slider to 2 from the top

yeah, this doesnt work. i can hear audio and the program is set in obs the way its supposed to be, but wave link isnt outputting the audio. seems to be a common issue but there doesnt seem to be a fix.
