Hello I have a question. I am using ELGATO Game Capture 4K60 Pro MK.2 product. I know that if I connect any headphones to my PS5 , I will not be able to capture any sounds through Elgato. Chat link is obviously not available for my capture card. Is there any other way to listen game sounds and record them simulteniously?

When I’m transferring VHS using a Game Capture HD it often doesn’t recognise a signal and blanks out to the no signal page, when on my tv that part of the tape looks fine. It’s a bit of a long shot but is there a way of being able to disable the no signal screen or will i have to purchase another capture card?

Hopefully some can help, I’m using the 4k60 mk2 pass through but can only get 100hz out of my 160hz monitor? The resolution at the screen for the gaming pc is 3440x1440. Is this the max refresh for the capture card or am I missing something? Any help welcomed. Please @ me so I can find you reply, thanks in advance all.

It could all depend on your monitor's refresh rate maxes that are set for HDMI inputs
Some monitors restrict things based on their input types
I'd make sure your monitor supports the resolution/refresh rate that you're trying to push through the 4K60

I can't speak for the other modes, but I think there is a limitation on the refresh rate for the HDMI port

You might be able to trick it by getting an HDMI to displayport adapter, but my guess is that you're using display port with your PC

@magic onyx you know what, test something for me. Have the 4K utility App running and have a game running so you can see it in the preview screen. Then go to discord to a channel and press on "screen". Tell me then if it is working or not

Hey guys, im having an issue (as of today) where my Stream Deck "toggle mute" button makes a loud pitch noise each time I click it for mute/unmute. Anyone know how I can deactivate the sound? Its from the Audio Mute/Audio Switcher module. I have tried uninstalling the module (not the stream deck), restarting pc etc.

1. uninstall from 'more actions', download the non-debug .streamDeckPlugin from https://github.com/fredemmott/StreamDeck-AudioMute/releases/tag/v3.0.1 and double it to install
2. untick the 'feedback sounds' box

I've gone through about 100 threads now of people having the god forsaken crackling of the audio while using an HD 60, but no one has had an actual fix that works. Is there like, alternative software to use other than the native Elgato software to simply preview the signal?

What does work, and is the most infuriatingly frustrating nonsense that I've seen, is resetting the settings to default, then closing the settings screen so it goes back to what it was BEFORE default, and it'll work flawlessly for about 45-60 minutes before going back to being garbo.

Not recording anything, simply using the "Preview" or whatever it's called, in order to play live.

I'm using it to record one PC with another. but i would really like to be able to record my discord audio alongside my game and live commentary(which it already does record game and mic). my issue is that there is no native way i can find to record that 3rd track of Discord audio

it's like a elgato playback device if you enable it then there is audio, but then it plays through the monitor, and you can't enable your headset and the device at the same time

I have the 4k MK.2 Pro capture card installed, and I'd like to use it to capture my own PC's game. Is this the correct set-up?

I have an RTX 3080 card, and I have the HDMI Output of that connected to the capture card's input, then the output of the capture card going to my monitor.

The issue seems to be that the resolution on my monitor seems to have downscaled to 1080p, even though windows says the monitor resolution is 4k (It detects my monitor as the Elgato 4k). I think I messed this up.

Would a better configuration somehow be to connect a 'second' hdmi to the elgato capture card, and 'mirror' my display? Is that possible / recommended?

So Ive been trying to login into my Twitch from the Elgato Software thing and every time I put my RIGHT login info for Twitch, it says its wrong. I have changed my Twitch password about 2 times and finished the whole 2FS. When I put my info in, I press add, then another little window pops up saying, "Could not log in to the streaming service. (Error Invalid grant type) Please make sure your username and password are correct." Can someone help pls, if so please ping me when you get the chance.

Hi. I've been having this problem with my camlink 4k for about 6 months now. when i first got it it worked perfectly fine with no issues. now when i plug it in, the white light blinks then shuts off. (cannot use camera) I've already tried three new HDMI cables already and elgato has also sent me a replacement. Has anyone else experienced this issue before?

To some extent. I have to press pretty hard in order to get the screen to really discolor in the corners of the buttons like how it is in your video, but a light press for me will cause some ripples on adjacent buttons.

It seems like my resolution is messed up on my gaming monitor when I open a full screen program. For instance, I open escape from Tarkov, and my mouse pointer is really large on the gaming monitor. This also includes my discord overlay for my voice channel, the icons are overly large. This will occasionally get fixed within the first five or 10 minutes of playing, but it’s weird that it happens at all. When I opened up the hunt showdown, I could only see the top left a quarter of the game, like the resolution was four times bigger than my monitor.

Hi so yesterday I had a completely fine stream. Was completely plug in and go. I update Windows and now I am stuck on initializing/One Moment Please. I have a HD60 S and have tried restarting, reinstalling drivers, and disabling drivers and all of that to have nothing work. My PC is even recognizing the card too

I have an Astro Mixamp Pro TR, the newest ones. I also am using the Elgato Wave:3 microphone with the Wave Link software. For what it is worth, I strictly play on PC. I just had a quick question about the setup I have. I have both the Wave microphone and Mixamp plugged into my PC. I have my headphones plugged into the Mixamp. In the Wave Link software, I can choose what my monitor mix is aka where the sound of my PC goes to. I have attached a picture below of how Wave Link looks like. My question is with the current setup that I have, am I still receiving surround sound on my PC through the Mixamp, or is the Mixamp just acting like a volume control at this point? it depends, determining brightness levels is tricky as it plays with a whole bunch of things that make up your exposure

if you have a mirrorless camera you can set zebras to the skin tone (likely the exposure level of concern) and adjust all of your components until you get what you want

or you can use a false color LUT as a way of representing a particular brightness level and then figuring it out

Hello, I’m wondering if the Elgato HD60s works in a MacBook Air 2020 with M1 chip? I’ve been trying for ages to get it running, I’ve downloaded the NDI files for OBS. nothing seems to work? Hi guys, I just bought the wave 3. Previously I just voicemeter and some vb cables. So I uninstalled all these reset the sound option. All fine. Then I downloaded wave link followed the instructions and restarted my pc. And here we go. Since then only 1 of my USB mouse or keyboard is working. In total that's 2 out of 3 USB device. I removed every other USB device. No change if I start the pc with only mouse and keyboard they work. Then put in mic, won't work. If I start with all 3 the mic and 1 random device will work. In the device settings it says driver error so I downloaded both drivers again. No changes. Can someone help? English is OK german would be nice!

Hello everyone. I am having an issue with one of my Key Lights that I wonder if anyone else has encountered. It is connected and can be controlled. However, I have an odd issue where the temperature setting seems to be reversed. The app show I am sliding towards 7000K temp, it is turning warm like the 2900K; the opposite is true when trying to move to 2900K going to 7000K. So it seems reversed. I have another Keylight and a Ring Light that both work correctly as expected. I have already reset the light, but it is still reversed.

If anyone has problems with their Wave 1 or Wave 3 resetting your settings to default. I have found the solution. It is a problem with the version 1.16.

Uninstall Wave Link and download and install version 1.14 https://edge.elgato.com/egc/windows/wavelink/1.1.4/WaveLink_1.1.4.2131_x64.msi

Do your setup again in Wave Link. Your Windows settings should have stayed correct.

Soory i can´t speak english, only german. Moin, ich hoffe das mir jemand bei meinem Problem helfen kann. Hab ein Problem mit meiner Elgato HD60 S. Unzwar geht einfach nach einer gewissen zeit das Bild weg. Mal funktioniert sie ne stunde ohne Probleme und mal geht sie nur paar Sekunden. Das Problem tritt nun immer häufiger aus was ich dann mache ist ich gehe bei Streamlabs auf Eigenschaften da dann auf deaktivieren und dann wieder auf Aktivieren dann geht sie erstmal für paar Minuten oder paar Sekunden. Habe schon alle Treiber deinstalliert und Neu installiert. Habe die Quelle bei Streamlabs auch schon gelöscht und eine neue quelle Hinzugefügt und auch 100 mal den PC neu gestartet es wird immer schlimmer und ich weis nicht warum es hat zu Anfang als ich die elgato neu hatte super funktioniert und dann kam das Problem 1 mal die Woche und nun sehr oft, vielleicht hatte jemand schon mal das selbe Problem und hat eine Lösung für mich. Achso eine Info noch an die Elgato ist die PS5 angeschlossen. Liebe Grüße

Good afternoon, I was wondering if there was a way to solve an issue i've been having with my 2 pc setup. i have a 4k60 pro mrk2 as my capture card but if i run my game/application in full screen mode instead of full screen windowed. Every time i alt, tab out to check discord, or change spotify, or whatever. I get a really long delay when I switch back to my game. Sometime takes up to 20-30 seconds. Its really frustrating. Was wondering if I have something set up wrong, or any advice is appreciated. Thank you and have a good afternoon.

Sorry, but idk about that problem because I don't own this what you own in that point but uh... so my problem is that Wave Link keeps running in the background but doesn't show up in the system tray, nor does it pop up.
The last thing what happened before it wasn't running anymore is that I connected my Bluetooth Headphones with the cable to the Wave:1 without disconnecting it before or changing the setting in Wave Link to the default headphones.

I tried:

• Restart Wave Link several times
• Restart my pc several times
• Reinstall Wave Link and running it's setup.exe in program files several times
• Delete settings.json for new settings.json
• searched for other solutions available on the internet several times
• let my PC rest for a while now

My microphone is connected to the pc.
It frustrates me, I tried it to fix it for weeks until now and I really loved Wave Link so far..

Tried to debug it too to get a little more infos, but the console logs were the same as the logs you get in roaming

Hi, I have a sony a6100 and a cam link. I have set all of the settings right, but the cam link times out and freezes after about a minute of use.

i have disabled the auto sleep on the usb ports, i have updated all of my drivers for the ports and the graphics card drivers, i have updated windows, restarted the computer, and tried using it after uninstalling the 4k utility.

after doing those things, i have managed to get it to run for a few minutes before freezing.

I tried using the same camera and cables on my brother's pc, and it seemed to work perfectly fine. Does anyone know what i should do?

Alright. I've got this issue.
When I put my PS4 Pro into an HDMI Switch then into a capture card it doesn't work. I had an HD60S+ and this wasn't working and I was told a 4k60 Pro Mk2 will solve my problem. This still doesn't work. Here is a diagram as to what does and doesn't work. Is anyone able to assist?

EDIT : My PS4 has all the settings correct. HDCP is off.

It just doesn't work when the PS4 Pro + Switch + 4k60 are all together, if I change one small thing (literally anything) it works fine.
I tried a PS4 slim and that works with no problems. Just the Pro.

Something that might be possible is that you're PC power might not be strong enough? Which would mean you would need to upgrade.

Ok, I was able to detect signal, but I have 2 monitors and it´s recording the one that I don't want to. How to be able to select which monitor to record?. EDIT: OK I found the solution, but if 4K60 S+ limits to 60fps.... I have a 240Hz monitor and I don't want to set it to 60 and I cant switch monitors I don't know why, so... I guess I will return this HW and buy Internal 4K60 Pro

Hello, I have the Wave 3 and I heavily use the Wave-link software to manage all my audio outputs in terms of everything stream related. But I would really like to use the official "Twitch Soundtrack" app for music, but have yet to find a way to properly set it up with SLOBS and the Wave-link software in a way that works. I can't find any videos online that show how to use both successfully, and after hours of tinkering around I can't get them to both work together as intended.

You dont use the game capture hd software

You download that software as it will allow you to download a elgato sound capture software which allows you to configure the sound in order to fix issues

I use the soundcapture along with the 4k utility to record sound as if i dont use sound capture it doesnt record or pick up any sound

Ive had that issue ... Its because your recording the audio while its monitoring the audio aswell so its recording the audio and playing it back which is recording the playback = looped audio and echo

Hi all. I've got a few issues, mostly with HDMI audio (cue the groans 😄 ). I've mostly got everything sorted now (including the echo you'll be pleased to know) but what I thought would be super simple I simply can't get my head around. I want to use the incoming HDMI audio from my HD60 Pro as the "Microphone" in Teams. Teams offers "Line (Elgato Sound Capture) for the microphone but for the life of me I can't get work out how to feed the incoming HDMI audio into the Elgato Sound Capture? I've resolved myself that the HDMI input can't appear as a device but there must be a way to feed it into the Sound Capture?

I'm in a tough spot and I can't get Wave Link to launch.

Tried removing JSON file. Made sure headphones and such were checked. Disconnected microphone, reconnected. Tried to open from tray and file. Nothing seems to work.

It was working fine yesterday and for months before that.

Hrm...looks like I finally got it open be ended all related operations in the task manager, but when it came up again it's a complete fresh start of wave link. None of my settings are there.

Hi I am looking to purchase a elgato HD60 S i have a xbox one s and a laptop that has a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1065G7 CPU @ 1.30GHz 1.50 GHz but no graphics card so i needed a capture card to stream. I play games on the xbox that use in game party chat. To use that i plug my mic into my controller. If i got this capture card would it take the audio from the game and also what i am saying and put that on my stream. So like if im talking on game chat my stream will be able to see my game hear my game and also hear the game chat along with what i am saying back? Just recording i had mad issues ended up being bc i use a certain monitor so the color and blah blah anyways the video compiler 4k utility uses compiles videos in a nv12 format which apparently was crap for my set up

Switched it to rgb video format and viola perfect of course had to use obs tho

4kcapture utility doesnt offer much settings

Understood, thank you! I got the Sound Capture downloaded, but the same issue is coming up. You can see that there is no audio coming through the output of the Sound Capture software either. I'm probably missing something obvious, but I'm not sure what else to do.
I've also tried going to Advanced in the sound capture and making the audio input the Game Capture 60S+, but that also does nothing.

My monitor says it’s 1440p, so it’s not limiting it, and it doesn’t look grainy (compared to 1080p)

Obs says the source is 1440p, but it looks like 1080p (when I stretch it out to fit to 1440p)

Or does “up to 4K60hz”mean it can passthrough everything under and I’m an idiot

The problem is that my PC broke just recently and I have no plan to build another one anytime soon.
I was then wondering if I could use my work laptop to stream @720p or even @1080p.

its quite complex but very simple. i have a gen4 mixamp and ps4 pro ... just got a hd60s... im using game capture hd to stream some cod on my friends discord.. i have it up and running and everything but i'm getting an echo sound in my headphones and my sound on discord chat is rather low. i have a ground loop with 2 aux cables running from pc soundcard to ground loop then to my mixamp. stream port has an aux running into the elgato

I have an issue that whenever I press a button on my deck it just minimises the button image, and I have to then press it at least another time for it to work. Tried googling it and searching reddit but nothing.

I have the same issue. Simply open up the stream deck app and wait for it to catch up. This is specific to the mute unmute in zoom for me though.

Hi, I am hoping you can help. I have gotten the Wave 3 and like the Wavelink app that comes with it. But I am having a problem that when I reboot sometimes the Wavelink is reset and I have to setup the whole channels that I had setup previously. Also if I check for updates it then tells me download manually. I am running 1.1.6(2239) version. Any help would be awesome thanks.

Hmm you use sound capture software ?

I had the same issue i forgot what i did it was something to do with the sound being played within the pc that was being recorded hence a echo.

I do recall that you can do something like close the application and start fresh it stops the echo idk im at work i can help you later in call perhaps help trouble shoot

anyone know why i am getting echo on my stream with elgato hd60s and ps4 pro/mixamp gen4 and astro a40s? i went into ACC on PC mode and tried messing around in the stream port options.. i have everything connected correctly... aux cable from aux to ground loop to my sound card on PC headphone jack... aux cable from stream port to elgato hd60s... hdmi's go from ps4 to elgato in and hdmi out from hd60s to my asus vg 245h that im gaming on. if i mute my microphone and game sound in the ACC options the echo goes away and i can't hear myself talk on the headset mic (which sucks cuz i wanna talk to ppl ingame sometimes) and the aux level is all the way down.. stream analog master volume is set to max... i have a blue yeti external mic attached to my PC as well for discord talking

Problem appears to be coming from my Sony a6400 camera, however I have the audio disabled on the actual camera before coming in as a source. As well it says there may be resource issues. However I’m running an i9 9900k w/ 32GB RAM and a 3080 so resources shouldn’t be an issue.

This is all while just broadcasting. No recording is happening. However the solution provided was to restart OBS this issue arises every time I go live, and causes massive dropped frames that I can’t even stream anymore because of the problem. Any help?

The folks over on OBS said it’s a frequent problem with the Cam Link and to head over here for some solutions.

Bought an HD60s+ tonight and have been banging my head against the wall for three hours trying to figure out how audio works. In the actual Elgato 4k Capture utility I get sound just fine. Outside of that, nothing.

I have a Wave 3 and added the capture card as an input to Wave Link. Doesn't pick anything up. Added the card to SLOBS, video works but again audio doesn't pick up.

In slobs I have tried setting it to output directsound, and selected a custom device. I have tried both the monitor and stream mixes that the wave link has as devices. No luck.

Do I have to leave the 4k Capture Utility running all the time or something? I'm going insane.

Can anyone help with this? Control center (and thus the StreamDeck) stop seeing one or both of my keylights randomly. In this case, it's my left keylight air. The keylight responds to pings, but for some reason will not show up in control center. Any help would be great. I am waiting to hear back from Elgato engineers via email.

(Not so) Funny story. I got my PS5 2 days ago and I'm super happy with it but all sound and video go through my HD60S+. This wasn't a problem until sound stopped working within OBS (which sends sound to my headphones without delay). During the process of fixing this I (and I saw today that it isn't smart to do this) updated the firmware of the card which was connected to my PS5. While all is, luckily, fine and still working I noticed that my other HD60S+ (not connected to the PS5) has a lot of lag while the firmware isn't updated on that one. Does anyone know why this is the case?

Only thing I can think of is your USB port is powering down, might have to go into device settings for the ports and under power management see if the option to turn the USB port is checked. If it is turn it off, this will keep your USB ports from powering down randomly. Not 1005 a fix but its a start.

Hi I've just connected my Elgato hd60s to my laptop from my pc. I've unplugged every usb device, tried every slot (all are usb 3.0), reinstalled drivers and elgato 4k capture software. I tried some different usb c cables that obviously weren't good enough but the capture card did connect. However with the original cable the capture card constantly keeps connecting to my laptop over and over again and making the bing bong windows sound multiple times before showing "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed). The device shows up in sound, video and game controllers a few times and I'm able to select it in OBS but after a while it just comes up with this error. Anyone know a fix?

Also is there any kind of technical support that isn't community based, like a live chat where someone can walk me through a fix?

^I've tried reversing this between laptop and PC and the same issue persists so not a problem with my USB ports. HDMI seems fine it's just with the usb-c end of the connection
