Yeah sleep mode works, but it seems the leds are on extremely low brightness rather than off. I can still make out the buttons, so it doesnt look like its off

After going to bed then turning everything back on again, it seems to have fixed itself. I'll update if the problem returns

So I'm really not sure where to go. I've tried looking at youtube/google. Here's my issue. I now have 2 4K HD60 Pro Mk2 cards that I can't seem to get to capture on my PC (just a black screen). The pass through works fine.

Xbox Series X -> PC -> TV

And it was working last Wednesday, rebooted and now just black screen. Got a second card thinking the first one died... but the new one has the same symptoms. Reseated original / new one... no changes. Just black screen on 4k utility and SLOBS. uninstall and reinstalled everytthing (driver and software wise) and it's still the same result.

Anyone else having this issue with the internal card just "stopping" and where I might go from here to test things out?

Hello hoping someone can help me with this issue. I have an elgato 4K60 S+ and I love the product and it is very useful. Recently I noticed that whenever I use the pass through on the 4K60 S+ it changes the screen resolution on my PC from 4K to 1080p by default. I can change it back to 4K but it keeps recommending the 1080p for some reason. If I plug the screen directly into the PC it defaults to 4K, and if I plug the 4K60 S+ into the PC, with no screen attached, the 4K60 S+ goes back to recommending 1080p again. I've gone through multiple HDMI cables and end up with the same results in each scenario. Halp!

Hello, is there a way that windows can recognize more thane one XLR coming from a usb mixer. Also is there a way to break out the audio from Windows and route to OBS. I came across a video today that recommended Allen & Heath ZED 10fx mixer and they claimed they could do this with this, but did not explain how.

It seems that the Elgato 4K capture utility, even with record in HDR checked, does not apply the HDR tag to the video so when uploaded all I get is a washed out image. Furthermore, if I record with HDR enabled but with tone mapping also enabled, the video comes out with an HDR tag but its super saturated and overblown...

your capture card would go in the streaming pc. One monitor for each of your PCs. For your gaming PC, I'd recommend using the nvidia control panel and cloning the output to HDMI (this is so that if your monitor is 144hz via DisplayPort, it can still maintain that). Then that HDMI output from your gaming PC goes into the HDMI input on the 4k60 pro. If you're gaming monitor is just hooked up via HDMI, youc an use the HDMI output on the 4k60 Pro and plug that into your gaming monitor.

if you are looking to plug your dslr in as well as your gaming pc. you will need a second capture device. so the camlink or another card

I ordered a Stream Deck Mini but I wanted to start designing it already so I downloaded the app that works with the mini but when I opened it it was the normal stream deck layout. I started to design it only using the top right squares (as seen in the image below). I finished designing it so I saved them as a backup. I spent a lot of time on it and was curious if it was all wasted. I only used 6 Squares so I am hoping it will work

Hi folks, I'm having some trouble with audio on my HD60 Pro.

I use Streamlabs OBS to stream to twitch and record. I have been trying to use Game Capture HD's Instant Gameview to play games on my PC while I stream. However, the audio keeps crackling on both Nintendo Switch and PS4. Things I've tried to solve this:

-Reducing the quality on the decoder/encoder settings
-Changing to Software encoder/decoder
-Reducing capture quality
-Reducing resolution to 720p30fps
-changing audio frame buffer size in advanced HD60 Pro settings to 4096 (it made it about 50% better but problem persists)
-every permutation I could think of in Elgato Sound Capture
-Reducing the audio output of my digital audio interface to 16bit 48k which is the same as elgato sound capture
-Turning 'Game Audio' to 0, then under Elgato Sound Capture ticking 'Capture from Sound Capture' (this muted the sound completely but it was a solution offered in a YouTube video)

And yes, I have checked Task Manager and CPU usage doesn't go above 50%

Everything I did seemed to work, but the moment the game capture had to process anything taxing like fast camera movement, the sound crackled a lot. This does NOT happen if I use the passthrough feature and play the game on my monitor it outputs to.

'Why not play like that, then?' you might ask, simple: that monitor has no speakers or audio out.

I spent 3 hours today reading every thread I could find and trying everything. I'm a bit desperate in case you can't tell. Any tips or anything else I could try would be appreciated, thank you!

Hi, i hope i'm in the right channel but I just had a quick question. I currently have the 4k60pro on my second pc but i also have another ITX SFF pc that I was thinking of using for my dedicated pc instead. That would mean I need an external capture card. Would there be any difference in stream quality on twitch using the HD60s+? The biggest differences I see is the 4k passthrough and the bitrate between the two cards but those features are more for streaming consoles right?

Hey... My Elgato Wave 1 mic is giving me a headache... Whenever it has been idle for a while the sound gets distorted inside of applications such as discord. I have tried using the mic with Voicemeeter potato, Elgato Wave Link and alone but same thing happens. Even after doing a fresh install of windows. Any idea why this happends? Had the mic since 26th of December 2020.
This is very annoying
Same thing happens whenever I play Valorant. It gets solved by swapping audio device a few times on repeat. The audio works great for a while but then it goes downhill over time.
I have tried swapping USB ports with no luck either.
Would appreciate any type of help, thanks!

The ain´t no real pictues. When I start my PC. The Streamdeck gets stuck with the Elgato Logo on the streamdeck. When I plug it out and back in then it displays the correct stuff. The application is inside autostart

Yep just looked at your stream.

The HD60s+ is good if your watching ( not streaming rec etc. ) as it can give you 4k

But streaming wise:

Twitch AND YouTube cant process 4k so it'll just be the same to the stream

Hi, thank you! It's not a problem with Streamlabs. This happens if Streamlabs is closed and I'm not streaming, it just happens constantly on Instant Gameview when trying to play the games through Elgato Game Capture HD.

Hi all, I’ve been struggling with this for a while. When I route my Series X through my HD60S+ to my computer which is a Mac, no sound is registered in any program (Game Capture HD, OBS, Streamlabs, etc.). It’s not just a case of I can’t hear it, the audio bars don’t register any of the sound. I’ve made sure everything’s updated and compatible, and I’ve checked as many troubleshooting pages as I could. Hello. It seems I have a problem with my Elgato source on OBS. I've already contacted their support, they tell me that everything seems fine but there is a problem with my Game Capture. It's up to date, OBS too, I don't understand where the problem comes from. When I change scene where my Game Capture source is present: an error message appears and forces OBS to close.

If I delete my Elgato's sources, everything works fine... do you have any idea where it could come from? Thank you in advance.

hello everyone. I recently bought a ring light for my partner and we have found that the included mount puts the camera at an angle higher than she would like. Is there an option anyone is aware of that will be able to lower the mounting point by roughly 10cm/4inches?

I'm currently trying to look into the flex mount and see if that could be an option, but I cant find any information regarding the weight capacity. I'm looking to attach the ring light and a Sony A6400 for reference. My thinking is maybe the master mount S (included with the ring light) with the flex arm L kit. I would use the master mount then either the long or medium pole at an angle lower than horizontal. If anyone has done something similar please DM me or feel free to ping me.

I got an ElGato HD60 S recently and just opened it last night, but I've been unable to get it working. The software detects that it's connected, but I'm just getting no signal. My goal is to get it working with my Switch. Here's a list of things I've tried various combinations of:

5 HDMI cables
3 monitors
2 Switches
2 Switch docks
1 PS4 (with HDCP off)
2 PCs
Various USB3 ports on both PCs
Powering it with a USB wall adapter

When I turn it on, I get two sets of white lights that flash all at once, then after a delay, I (usually - think it hasn't appeared sometimes) get a single flash of red all at once.

Not only does the software say "no signal," but I haven't even had a single instance of the ElGato actually passing anything through to any of the monitors. At this point, I'm wondering if I've just gotten unlucky and ended up with a defective one.

So I have been using an Elgato Wave:3 Mic now for a few months and I'm really happy with it, too. But now I got a powerful laptop I want to stream on and basically what I want to achieve is an Audio Setup, where I have the Wave:3 connected to my streaming PC, handling all the Audio (Discord, Music, Alerts and the Capture Card I have my Gaming PC connected to via HDMI) and then route this MonitorMix to my GamingPC where my Headphones are connected so I have latency free Gameplay audio, while hearing the sound of my StreamingPC.

I don’t monitor my mic once the gain and levels are set and the headphones currently plugged into the GoXLR headphone output as this is set to the default playback device. Hello, I am new to the server. I need help with setting up my elgato. Everytime I move houses (I'm in college, so that's often.) my elgato loves to screw me over. It says "3.0 port needed to work" when it's plugged into a 3.0 port. I also have cycled through the standard, "connect your device to get started!", "No signal", "please wait...", "detecting signal..." and every other standard error you can just about think of. On streamlabs OBS it's just a blank screen, even though I have the media scource for elgato on there. When I plug it in to the USBs on the top, it does the unplug sound like a second later, even if I don't touch anything. I have unplugged and replugged everything with different cords and HDMI cords and switched them around and everything I can think of. I also updated my drivers and reset the computer and so nothing has worked. I really need help if anyone knows or can help me. Here's the information if you need it:

After plugging in the power, I get two flashes of white lights signifying that it's connected. 5-10 seconds after, sometimes I also get a flash of red lights, which I believe means it can't detect an HDMI input.

Sorry, I have a question as well. Im probably missing something in my hook up. I'm trying to dual stream pc with the HD60pro card. It is installed on my game machine and I think the wires are correct going to my streaming pc , both have the software but only my gaming pc is recognizing the card. I have gaming pc connecting gpu to input then output to streaming pc gpu. Google hasn't been much help everything talks about the external card and a USB while I have the intwrnal with hdmi.

@keen beacon Capture card goes in the streaming PC, capture card drivers and software are installed on the streaming PC. Gaming PC connects to the capture card with an HDMI cable so it can send video of all that gaming you're doing. The capture card will show up as an additional display on the gaming PC, allowing you to duplicate your primary display to it.

I submitted a ticket about my Streamdeck YouTube Chat Message buttons not working. I was looking at the logs that the Support Tool zipped up... In the Streamedeck logs, I see logs like this:

Is it a known issue that voicemod does not connect with my Elgato Stream Deck? Whenever I want to add a voicemod thingie on my streamdeck the "App Status" Is set to "App needs to be running", despite the fact that it is running.

@restive oxide I don't use the passthrough so I'm not sure about that one but it's supposed to be zero delay there. For output to a program like OBS there is a small delay, maybe 50-100ms.

I send sound over HDMI with the video so that stays synced up

It goes through an HDMI matrix, one copy to the capture card and the other to my display. Audio is also split out via Toslink so I can listen to it with OBS audio monitoring.

I'm not sure what kind of processing goes on with the card or if stuff like color format affects it, e.g. NV12 vs XRGB vs whatever

Hey everyone. I’ve been dealing with for the past couple days what I believed to be my SLOBS causing my computer to crash or the application to crash beginning a stream. Though it may seem that it’s my elgato hd60s+ capture card. As I fully deleted slobs and reinstalled from scratch. Streamed find for about 8 minutes until I went to add my capture card to the setup. Then it caused the crash. Any ideas or help/tips??

And the main fix if by doing some fancy stuff in settings, that you can only do with the ‘go ahead’ of a staff member

Hello guys does anyone here have experience streaming on youtube using el gato hd? ( not the hd 60). I havr 77.00 upload speed. I tried multiple settings like 4.45mps at 720p 30, or 7.50mps at 1080 30p, but no matter what i do the stream looks blurry

I thought maybe it was the game at first but ive seen other streamers on youtube where the game looks perfectly clean

So I needed to do voice recordings but wanted to add filters to enhance the voice before recording so I do not have to edit later. Anyone have good setup for wave 3? So far only thing I created was sending wave mic to OBS, ADDING filters than sending OBS audio back into wave 3 software which I use pro tools or audcity to record I make the input mic the OBS. Bad break down but hope that makes sense. Any better ways would be nice.

Does anyone know why incoming audio would be crackling through Wave Link? It's very intermittent and seems to only happen on my headset, but not my speakers. I just switched from a yeti/voicemeter combo with zero crackling issues (so I know it's not something wrong with my headset), to the Wave 3/WaveLink. Haven't been able to find a fix for it yet.

Quick Question - Is there a reason that "Monitor and Output" in advanced Audio settings doesnt work for the HD60S+ in OBS? (It worked fine for the HD60S). Ive tried adding/removing the source, rebooting OBS etc with no joy.

Switching form "capture only" to "output to waveout/directsound" works fine but then obviously kills the stream audio. The only way I can appear to get it to work is to choose "Listen to this device" when selecting the "Digital Audio Interface" in windows sound settings..... But then that overrides OBS and it still plays in my headphones even if I switch scenes! Any help?

Hello all, I have an elgato game capture HD from 2012 that I have kept very well since then. I'm trying to use it now, I have connected my switch to the "In" HDMI, then the OUT the TV and the USB into my PC. I can see the image of my video game on the TV which means that the elgato is powered, but the game capture HD Application does not recognize it as connected. I have tried 2 different USB cables thinking that could be the reason but neither have worked. I've been through the Elgato website troubleshooting and tried what it suggested but still nothing. I try to use Elgato Screenlink.
I downloaded the App on my Iphone 7+
i BUY the Proupgrade.
I downloaded the 4K Capture Utility
Activate the "Sceen link Beta"
Start the Screenrecording on my Mobilefon.
Become no Signal... "Connecting to Screen link source"....

Thats all..

Support told me the alltime best answer... Restart your complete Life, than it will work...

Again notllokong to add silly voices. Wave link doesn't have reverb, noise gate and other things to have a more professional sound on voice. The clipping is nice but that's all so pushing it I to OBS to add filters is good start but I was hoping there was other ways. Clown fish or voicemod just do silly voice effect.

Yes if course and the ability to tweak things for voice over, commentary recordings. Again OSB works good but it's a double loop where I send wave mic to obs, add filters than send back to wave link software than use the WAVE stream audio on pro tools or audacity. I think if elgato can allow plugins for filters like OBS we can do some special things as a community.

@compact warren I had Uninstalled the driver in device manager, and then installed Game Capture for the first time and let that install the driver, but I'll try that again. Am I missing a driver though? You said both so now I'm wondering

I made that up and it works but there is things like having OBS wave and other programs open just to try and do so. I know wave is mainly for streamers which I am but I like the program and mic I want it to expand.

I'll start with game capture and see if I can just get that working first before I mess with obs (I'm afraid to lose my scenes etc), but I'll remember that was the suggestion going forwards, thanks

Every input is cracking on my end. So discord my friends are crackling. Spotify is cracking. Games. But I don’t sound crackly to my friends. It just seems to be what I’m hearing through the software. If I change my system audio to just my headset, the crackling goes away. If I switch it back to the software it crackles again

Hey, I'm wondering if I could use a hotkey on my keyboard to run an elgato event instead of clicking a button. I have a corsair K95 plat and am using the G key feature. But it collides with my G key actions set up in iCue.. is there any way of programming a hotley (ctrl+l for example) to run a stream deck action?

Hey, any1 else getting this error code for installing any of the drivers for the Elgato Hardware drivers? been trying to find just the stand alone driver file instead of launching the .EXE file from the Elgato support website. I have a Elgato Game Capture HD.

Everything is setup and comes into the mix software on the correct inputs.

E.g. my Spotify comes in through Elgato Music mix, and my Discord through the comms mix.

Hi everybody. I’m having an issue where I have my switch connected to my capture card and hooked up to OBS. The screen will capture normally for a minute or two, and then it goes black. I’ll have to restart OBS to get the screen capturing again. This happens every couple minutes. I’ve feel like I’ve tried everything I’ve seen online. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? This also happens in the Elgato software, so someone in the OBS windows support server told me to come here and that is is an Elgato software issue.

same as above! I have my elgato hooked up to my PC and it will often randomly disconnect while recording or streaming, using OBS or the elgato software. I tried replacing the USB to USB-C cable and nothing changed.

@last crown @vale oak have a go at reinstalling OBS studio. Also if its a HD60 S/S+ try moving it to a different USB port ( and make sure its not in a hub ), and if its a HD60 Pro or a 4k60 then try moving it a different slot on the motherboard

I did that as well, worked well the first day, the next day it cut off after 5 minutes. I had days where I could use it normally without those breaks, but most of the time it cuts off pretty early.

It changes. It's usually longer, can be 10, or 20 minutes. I try restarting obs or restarting elgato but that doesn't seem to impact it. Then when I start again it will usually cut off earlier, often within the first 2 minutes

Hey all, i have a Wave 3, and im struggling getting my sidetone right, as in if my Logitech Pro X headset is plugged into my PC, there is a small delay with my voice coming through, but if i plug it into the back of the mic, sidetone is fine, but i lose the other features of my Headset, is there an option to have them go through a mixer? 'Voicemeter' or would i have to just get over not hearing myself through my headset

I changed the the main output to Wave Link System and Input to Mic In and on the app i changed the Monitor Mix to my headset and I get no audio

No clue then. You could try plugging it into the mic instead of your pc and see if that works. If not, I would call the official support number.

Ya probably calling support directly is the best bet then. Without seeing your set up it's hard to say what else can be done.

For the defaults. Then you would change the individual programs using the windows settings.
