So I have a brand new StreamDeck XL that I literally just opened up today, and it crashed OBS . . . twice. When I try running my multi-action. I have a like 500ms or more delay between each action, more on some.
Tried the same multiaction but replaced OBS with Xsplit. . . 3 times, no crashes or freezes.

Source control to be a toggle. This makes creating multi-action scripts that ensure the right sources are active near impossible.
As an example here is my start streaming multi-action script. Note that I explicitly enable/disable specific sources.
Would be nice to have both options: A source toggle and a source set.

Guys/Gals - Firstly why is SLOBS so bloody awkward? Next question: Why doesn't SLOBS save my delay settings (audio/async etc). Everytime I open SLOBS all my efforts to sync all my sources no longer work. I go into the relevant setting for each of them and the values are all there, but I have to delete and re-enter them for it all the work again. WHY!!!???

I just bought an HD 60 S and freshly reinstalled the software. My audio in a weird way captures itself and repeats. Imagine saying a word, and as each syllable comes out, it is looped. hearing the entirety of a noise or word at once, but it's any desktop audio I play.What can I do to fix this? might want to check in Sound Capture software, advanced settings, and uncheck the boxes "default device for playback" and default communication device for playback"

Here's a fun one that's bugged me for months. Stream Deck is crashing.. I get a quick video flicker and then stream deck goes back to Elgato logo. Can be reg one or Max. I thought it was a USB port, but no, changed that too. All drivers are up to date too. Windows Event Viewer shows nothing. If I close the system tray of Elgato and re-open it, all good.

Trying again... asking in mods and here with no success so maybe you lovely folks here can help. Just before the latest update and after... Which was a huge pain in the backside to install for some reason... The Mixer platform functions have completely stopped working. Video clips, sound bytes through OBS are fine however. Done the usual. Resynced the account, changed USB port. Unistalled, reinstalled stream deck. Completely out of ideas now. @everyone

Got HDMI cables I tested with my C100mk2, card is brand new, PC has a 1080TIFE and an AMD 3700 proc with 32Gbs of RAM, so I don't think processing power may be an issue.

So, I know this may sound dumb, but I actually bought a 1440p monitor to go with my PS4 pro. I was under the impression that the Elgato 4k Mk. 2 would actually downscale and be able to record in 4k. Is there actually any way to pull this off or am I going to have to buy a 4k monitor?

@vital fable You would have to play in 4k and somehow force the PS4pro to down sample it on your screen if you wanted to record in 4K but play in 1440p. Which would leave you with some weird ratios as 4k isn't the same ratio as 1440p

you are trying to record in a res higher than your ps4 is outputting at so correct. not possible unless you can trick the ps4 to output and make your tv/monitor to downsample

So I recently bought the HD60 S+ and it seems to be pretty bad compared to the HD60 I already owed for 2 years... Recording with Video Encoder: AMD Radeon R9 390 is a joke, can't properly record with that. Changing the Video Encoder to Software Built-in performs a lot better but for some reason the recording can't even keep up with the sound? The sound plays like 1 seconds after an action input which destroys the whole video recording. Recording is on PlayStation 4, (Recording on 1080p60) The rest of the settings are just defaulted with Bit Rate 8,6 Mbps.
What's the problem here? other then a device upgrade from HD60 to HD60 S+ and using this new 4K Capture Utility software since it doesn't support the older Elgato Game Capture for Windows software.

Hey there! Having trouble getting a second CamLink to work in OBS. First one works great, the second one added as a source in OBS results in no visual change. It pops into the source window and I can change framerates, but nothing happens on clicking 'configure video' and it doesn't actually show up as a visual source in the preview. I had a very odd issue that took many, many, back and forth emails to try and figure out but I am super happy to report that my streamdeck is once again operating at 100% ! Hey everyone!
I recently bought a streamdeck XL and love it. But the other day it suddenly stopped working with the Lumia Stream app to control my lights.
I've tried everything from uninstalling both streamdeck and Lumia program, to uninstalling and reinstalling/updating the API on the app.
It will let me drag the icon over to the streamdeck buttons but just gets stuck with a "loading" screen.
Anyone else having an issue?

If they're our current line up of cards EG (HD60 S, HD60 Pro, HD60 S+, 4K60 Pro) then multiple cards is no problem.
Game Capture HD or 4K Capture Utility can record from one device at a time.
So if you're looking to capture Gameplay + Facecam separately you'll likely be leveraging OBS Studio + 4KCU in most cases

my monitor is 3840x2160 which is not a supported 4k resolution by default
for the life of me no mater which internal option I chose the resolution comes out not proper. I right click and view properties of the video it says for example 1920x1080p but its clear as day not 1920x1080 because its squished like its 4:3

4KCU only records to 16:9. Even if the card is running with your resolution. You'll probably want to do this testing in OBS Studio or something where you can know for sure your input and outputs
Custom EDID is usually only needed to lie to the GPU to make sure it outputs the right format.

All you should need to do is to go back into 4K Capture Utility. Settings. Devices. Then set the EDID (internal) to default.
It's telling the GPU it's 21:9 which is probably why it's skewed.

If you look at that OBS Configure Video window again, it will tell you the actual signal the 4K60 Pro is receiving from your GPU. Sometimes if the GPU thinks it's connected to a 4K display, it will on its own, scale video from AxB to 4K and then sending it out over HDMI to the 4K60 Pro.

If you're struggling to get over 60hz, you could use the 1440p or 1080p Internal EDID.
1440p goes up to 144hz and 1080p up to 240hz. But your GPU will be incharge of scaling the signal down to send it to the 4K60 Pro.
4K at 144hz will not happen over HDMI 2.0. So you just need to work within that limitation. Same thing as using an HD60 S or HD60 Pro with a 1440p or 144hz monitor.

In simple terms, sure. But if you're cloning/duplicating your monitor with the 4K60 Pro, Windows/yourGPU will be locking both down to the highest common denominator, which might infact... be 60hz.

Scaling will happen on the GPU. If you want to play at 4K 144, then the GPU will do its best to send 1440p or 1080p144 to the 4K60 Pro.

Using the 1080p or 1440p EDID will lie to the GPU and say "Hey, I'm a 1080p240hz monitor or I'm a 1440p144hz monitor. What can you send to me?"

@molten rampart Not at this time, but 4KCU recordings include an isolated game audio file and isolated live commentary file. You can adjust that balance on your own in editing software.

@unreal glen could be a roothub problem. not enough bandwidth. if you can, try to reduce some of the ports usage to see if it works? not sure if this actually has any affect. some people had to buy another pcie card for more 3.0 ports.

@tender hamlet Not sure if it still is an issue, but if you linked your Mixer account with a Microsoft account it had problems logging in to some software.
if you go to Mixer's site and then go to your profile settings you may have an option to unlink the account.

Driver first since it has specific fixes for that problem. It's possible you're on it already though.
You can check your current driver by going into OBS, go to the properties of the MK2. Then go to Configure VIdeo.

If your PC is sending 60Hz to the capture card, you could select 60 as the framerate or highest FPS. Not a huge deal.
Other setting is Color Range. You could change the color range from Limited to Full inside of your Nvidia Control Panel for the 4K60 Pro. Then inside of OBS set the properties to Full.
Both of those aren't a huge deal, especially if you're happy with how it looks now. I'm not super familiar with Dark Souls so not sure how dark it should be.

Looks like the lanes would be fine. As long as you only have one GPU installed. X4 slot on the bottom should work. And then the second MK2 can be installed on the middle x16 slot.
Should be fine as long as you don't have other PCIe devices.

You could try with it in, but something to try if you have some framerate problem or other weird behavior.
The top two x16 slots wire into the CPU, but all other PCIe devices and SATA go through the chipset, including the M.2 drives. So things can be bottlenecked.

@hallow moon Move the current card to the bottom slot. This will emulate worst case where your WiFi Card, 4K60 Pro, all your SATA and M.2 storage is using the same share of bandwidth.
If you notice you begin having problems, then you could try removing the Wifi card, but using two cards may not be doable if you still have problems.
Right now your 4K60 Pro Mk.2 has direct PCI lanes to the CPU. No bottleneck. But if you get a second card, one of them is going to have to go into the bottom slot.

Hey hey! Got an issue here with the obs.live plugin for stream elements not installing on my stream deck. Was previously installed and worked great. Now under more actions it has the button to install. Once selected the blue progress bar does fill completely but instead of saying installed it says install. Everything is up to date not sure what happened.

Hi! I have dual pc with the capture card Elgato 4K60Pro, since 1 week, fortnite on the pc gaming is blocks to 144 fps only when the second pc with the capture card is turn on. I duplicate my screen to the capture card, but when i'm on Google Chrome with the same computer as Fortnite (second screen on the computer) my FPS back to 400...Can you say why?

More information: with the tool Elgato 4K utility, when i put the intern EDID on 1080p, fortnite is on 180/240fps but when i put intern EDID on the tool 4K utility on 1440p, fortnite is on 144fps. I can put a custom EDID put i don't know how to create this.

I am having a strange issue with a hd60 S. Brand new. I was using game capture to preview at 60 fps 1080p for a few hours and it suddenly is no longer able to sync.
I have tried multiple usb cables and ports. I am using an xbox one x with it. I also attached my laptop to it to see if it could capture that HDMI output, it could not. I have not replaced the HDMI cable though

Hi! My capture card 4K60 pro is on the streaming computer. My gaming computer can run Fortnite at 450-500FPS fullscreen windowed (dual screen), but when i start my streaming pc, my game Fortnite is running at 180-240FPS (my screen is 240Hz). I've got this problem since 1 week! I don't understand why, but when I am on Google Chrome with the second screen on the gaming computer, Fortnite is running at 450-500FPS, when I clic on Fortnite, it back to 180-240FPS, and when I plus sometimes I've got 40-80 FPS and back to 180... All screens are on 1080p on gaming computer, and the capture card see on video input 1440p144 ??? Can someone say me why? Thanks!!

@shadow sleet Try going into 4K Capture Utility on the streaming PC, then go to Settings, Device tab. Change the EDID Mode to Internal. Then change the Internal EDID to 1080p. This will force the 4K60 Pro to look like a 240hz display.
@vestal ravine I would suggest 1080p for most uses. 4K becomes limited to 30Hz.

so I'm having an issue with the sound of my gameplay coming through when streaming. I have my elgato HD60 S setup to my laptop and my xbox one and i's streaming it through OBS. I bought a type c to HDMI display port adapter.
When I set it up and plug it into the PC, i get no signal on game capture.
Are there any additional settings that I'm missing out on.

Edit: I read somewhere that a HDMI splitter would help bypass HDCP. I believe HDCP doesn't let you post a signal on Android devices. I'll post back here with updates.

My streamdeck never "starts" when the computer starts, I always have to disconnect the USB and reconnect (which is rather difficult to do) any idea how I can fix this? @upper current should be fine to put the card there. You can monitor your gpu temp now using Nzxt Cam software, and compare it with the CC installed.

Nope keep it it the slot it is in. I had a sound card right under my gpu which is the same size of the CC. No temp differences, gpu under 98% load doesn't go over 70c in my case

I have 2 PC streaming setup. My gaming PC is connected to my streaming PC via Elgato 4k60pro in my streaming PC. I cant stream some titles and lets talk about on case of Call of Duty Modern Warfare. When i start my streaming PC and turn on Streamlabs OBS i can see catpure desktop from my gaming PC. Than i start Call of DUty Modern Warfere and it start to come for second on screen and then im throw back into dekstop. I can hear game and see window but when i click it it repeats to game screen screen for a second and than go back to desktop. Please help.

Edit: I read somewhere that a HDMI splitter would help bypass HDCP. I believe HDCP doesn't let you post a signal on Android devices. I'll post back here with updates.

Hi so I fixed the audio issue that I linked before 2 times now but now it has broke again. Would like to know if my capture card has gotten faulty or if there could any other reasons for this to happen. Because I have the settings correct otherwise it wouldn't work at all.

@tough vigil that sounds like when you're game is in fullscreen, your hdmi output is interupted by the graphics card. if you can play in fullscreen borderless, it will typically not have a stutter.
that is inherent to all capture cards as it is a limitation on graphics card output
if the image is always correct after your game loads in, then i would make sure "disable when not in use" is unchecked so the capture card is always receiving a signal in SLOBS

I haven't tried it. I've always been able to capture my Samsung phone with Elgato, and Android tablets just not my Google pixel 4

i got it all working fine
ive tried to re open OBS because i wanna make some scenes and stuff
but now its not picking up the elgato
the HD60S is still transmitting the video through it to my TV but its not sending a signal to my computer

So my xbox one will allow the audio for gamechat to go through when my headset is not connected, it'll pass through to obs and be in my stream. As soon as I turn on my wireless headset or plug in to the controller the shit turns off and I can only hear it in my headset. I have tried to set the gamechat to headset only, speaker only, and both and it does the same thing in all 3 options. How the hell can i get this thing to work with or without a headset?

@distant light So this sounds, unfortunately, normal for Xbox One. Xbox will send Game Chat to the headset only. If none is connected then it's sent to speakers.

@upper current Depends on the software. But Xbox is much easier than PS4 for audio. I'd just connect your headset to your console or controller unless like vsm_ene mentioned you need gamechat

Tech help please. We're at the end of our rope and tried all we know to try. Using HD60 S, Streamlabs OBS, Xbox One S, Astro A4Os w/Mixamp Pro TR, and a Blue Yeti... everything is plugged in correctly as far as I'm aware, it's picking up game video, but absolutely no game play sound at all. It's not even registering in the Elgato Game Capture App. Any help would be so appreciated, I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure it out.

@sharp river It's important to isolate where this framerate drop is shown. If it's not grainy or laggy in the preview, then the issue is something with the software or encoding.

So just one PC. With the capture card you were outputting video into the card and bringing it back into OBS? Yea that's not too common of a setup. You probably would get better quality just capturing the game or software directly without it going through an separate device.

yeah, you don't want to use a capture card to capture content from the same PC you're playing on. You would just use game capture in OBS.
As for having another PC (streaming pc), it's really up to the CPU encoding strength. If you're using x264, the CPU should have at least 6 cores 12 threads, but I suggest going 8 cores 16 threads with the Ryzen 7-1700.
If you have a weaker CPU, you can also potentially use an nvidia card like the GTX-950 and use NVENC. I only stream at 720p60, but it handles that like a champ.
(1080p60 can be very intensive to stream/encode)

Using the HD60 S+ with my dual PC setup with Streamlabs and OBS. When streaming or recording a game noticed that the audio is delayed by a few milliseconds when listening through my headphones. When reviewing the stream footage and recording, the audio is perfectly synched. The 4K Capture Utility has no audio delay. It just baffles me. Might just be a bug that can be addressed in a future firmware update.

@brittle verge If you're listening to the audio from the computer, but playing on your TV using the passthrough then the latency is normal. All capture cards will have some delay.

You can't use the HD60S. There's no access to HDMI with it. The methods you may have seen involve modding the console, and then the video feed is provided via a USB, not via HDMI.

I have trouble with my el gato stream deck using the text chat feature when I stream. I press the button and it doesn't recite what I programmed it too. All of the functionality of the Stream Deck is in the software, it's counting internally. So switching profiles or closing the software essentially causes the software to forget it was doing one and it stops where it was inside of the macro.
No need to reboot the PC for it

Hello, Does anyone know if it is possible to Run Credit from Streamlabs for a Twitch account that I am the Streamlabs administrator of? I can do it via the web and have access to it but I cannot seem to find a setting on my Streamdeck that says to Run Credits for that specific account. It is also something that is hard to check since you have to run them when you are live.

Hi, i bought an Elgato HD60 S+ for my ps4. the issue is that when using the 4k capture utility it says the source is recording at 2160p40 when it should be 2160p60. no matter what i change settings to it doesn't result in the 60 frames its supposed to. any help would be appreciated

And if you're using OBS, Game Capture really doesn't need to be touched. I think I might be misunderstanding your setup or use-case though.
Does the issue appear when trying to use both at the same time? If you close everything and just try to get video from the HD60 Pro, does it work then?
if so, changing PCIe slots may help.

@iron sierra The HD60 S+ and the 4K60 Pro MK.2 were built differently than in the past to support HDR recording and Game Capture is mostly getting maintenance fixes right now as we bring more functions to 4KCU.
For streaming functions, we generally point to OBS Studio anyways.

? Not sure I follow the wiring you wrote, but Switch dock connects into the HDMI Input on the HD60 S+. This is on the same side as the USB port.
Do you see any video on the TV?

Try disconnecting all the cables from the dock and remove the Switch from the dock.
Connect the USB/Power cable to the Switch dock. Be sure you're using the Nintendo Switch power adapter and not some other USB C power.
Next connect the HDMI cable to the dock.
Then power off the switch completely. Place it in the dock and power back on the Switch.
You may want to also try going into the Switch's settings and disable "Match TV State"

I run a dual PC stream setup with an external mixer. If I add a PS4 into the mix and hook it up to the stream PC elgato HDMI slot, how do I get the PS4 game sound to both be heard on my stream and on my headset?
I do run a USB from the mixer into the stream PC

@covert light No you cannot plug a USB mic instead of an XLR into it. You can use the 3.5mm microphone port, but there is no port for it to accept a USB mic, nor would it work anyway due to driver issues.

Your board has 16 lanes from the cpu into the top two x16 slots. If you put a card in that middle x16 slot your GPU will run at in 8 lanes.
Bottom slot runs through the chipset so it shares lanes and doesn't cause problems.
But I only said to try it there first. Can always move it up if needed. I've always had mine in the chipset x4 slot and I'm on a similar type of board.

Generally the bottom slot physically can fit a full x16 card like a gpu, but it is only wired for 4. If you shine a flashlight in it you'll see.

Hey guys, just got a HD60s+ and having a few issues with it. So when launching apex it either forces a cap of 144/60hz or when I don't have the cap I get weird green artifacting on my SLOBS preview on my other pc. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello, I am having trouble with my Streamdeck and I believe that it happened right after I updated to the newest version of the Streamdeck software. The issue is that I can no longer control OBS features with my Streamdeck. When I click one of my buttons to effect OBS, the Streamdeck software says that the OBS plug-in cannot be found. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the SD software multiple times to no avail.

if thats the case, perhaps it's better to just install it on the PCIe 3.0 x16

MK2 runs significantly cooler all around than the original 4K60 Pro. Won't matter what slot you install it in.

I have a stream deck regular since a month ago but i have a problem runing it...
It wont run for more than 10 minutes.
It sudently freezes and then I have to disconect it from the usb, wait a couple seconds and reconect it...
Is completely useles that way and as I know is a widely used and reliable device I think is something about my setup.
The point is I dont know how to debug it...
What I can test to see what's goin wrong.

You can also call but you'll be talking to the initial tier of support. Any escalation is done over email. So if you were talking to someone from QA or something like that then it'll still be through emails.
@barren storm finding a game with really punchy animations can help accurately nail it down. If you want it frame perfect you'll probably have to look at it in slow motion or something.
But with that said, buffering and delays can vary slightly on the HD and HD60. So getting it frame perfect usually isn't too important.

Is there a way to get my PS4 screen on my Gaming PC Monitor? I was able to mirror my 2 screens when the PS4 is not plugged in. I managed to set up SLOBS and got the 4k capture set up. But the problem is I need to plug out the HDMI from the Capture Card to plug in the PS4. What can I do here?

Hey, I've got a problem with my Elgato.
I've been using my Elgato for a few years and I haven't had a problem like this before. My Live Commentary isn't working with my Blue Yeti Mic. It has always worked before and I've tested the mic on my other PC, it's working fine there.
I've uninstalled the software and reinstalled it, tried restarting my computer and Elgato multiple times, I just can't get it working.
It's capturing game audio and will capture live commentary from my laptops built in mic, but not from my external yeti.
Any suggestions?

I know this is probably a common problem but everything I've tried so far hasn't worked.
I just recently got an Elgato HD60 S+ and connected it to my PC and Switch. Whenever I use the 4k capture utility to see if it's working, it says the capture card needs to be connected to a 3.0 port.
I plug it into my PCs 3.0 port but it still doesn't work? I've looked up videos on how to fix it but none seem to work.
I've been thinking of just buying a USB 3.0 wire but I don't want to feel like I wasted money for something that could've been fixed before.
Anyone know how to help? Thanks

Hi there I have a question regarding Streamlabs OBS and Elgato Capture Cards.
So I have an Elgato HD60 Pro and I wondered if the performance from that would be better than using Streamlabs own Display Capture feature?
I am asking this, as I want to stream my PC gameplay; but I only have 1 HDMI port on my Graphics card so I need to buy an adapter if the Elgato emits a better performance.

@vocal wasp I actually tried that and that didnt work either, I tried making the action as two seperate action keys instead of a multiaction and that didnt work either
@cunning latch DF is running as admin, yes. And as I said just above, it only works on the first macro triggered, so getting the display to un-dim using the streamdeck doesn't work no matter what kind of action switch I use (single or multi). Only the first key combo will work. I even tried setting up multiple scripts in DF with different hotkeys and then setting those up in streamdeck and same results, only the first hotkey will work. But using the hotkeys via the actual keyboard works flawlessly. Not sure why.

Okay, I tried that and it doesnt help either. I tested my k95 Platinum using a macro assigned to G6 via iCue and it works as expected. Just not on the Streamdeck

There was an issue a while back with hotkeys and obs, when obs window was selected, hotkeys didn't work. Just fyi, to try different things.. but first i would try different usb Port, could be simple as that

Got a CamLink 4K today, conntected it to PC, so far the weirdest thing which happened was that it wanted me to plug it into 3.0 port when I used the cable provided, then it said "Initalising device.." or whatever, but all I had to do was allow the camera in Privacy. Anyway, connected everything, things were working, life was good.
Since I got monitors over my main monitor I wanted to move my DSLR closer between the monitors since I could see them both on screen.. So.... I started doing some things with my tripod so I could get the cam closer in... this has nothing to do with the problem... but then life started to get a bit more sweaty:
When finally gotten the camera in position, the speakers were playing the "USB Connected\Disconnected" sound non stop for no reason.. When I sat down both keyboard and mouse was dark and not working. The message of "USB Malfunction" was spamming untill nothing wanted to work anymore. I restarted the computer 3-4 times before the USB malfunctioning wasnt a problem anymore. All USB ports was malfunctioning and I was seriously scared if the CamLink had ruined my whole USB. (Sometimes when I plug in\out the CamLink, Keyboard and mouse goes dark for a sec and I'm pretty sure I'm in for a nightmare again. Luckly not, as they come back.)
Now apperantly the mini-HDMI in the camera has become bad connection too (even its brand new), and the cam link now just blinks for 3-4 times then goes dark. When I enter Device Manager it's there with a "ā ļø Cam Link 4K" and "This device cannot start. (Code 10)".
I've tried to connect the camera to the GC HD60 and thats how I figured that the cable is weird. I apperantly have to push it backwards and it does not feel very good, anyway, when doing that it atleast shows up. The Cam Link just refuse to show up in Game Capture now, and I honestly dont know what to do. š
Anyone else gone through something equal?

Tried it a couple of times
It was alive for a while, but it said "No Signal" in red, that was because the HDMI in the camera was weird already, like, loose connection. Not sure if thats the camera hdmi slot fault or bad cable, but anyway, now CamLink doesnt show in Game Capture at all
I've uninstalled, restarted PC, changed slots, all that stuff
I feel like its not getting enough power or something

@warm umbra you could try alternative apps, im sure one of Bar Raiders apps could do that. Hotkeys has been a problem since launch If I remember correctly, and they have been fixing bugsn along the way.

@vocal wasp I got it to work fine on my k95 via iCue but, that defeats the purpose as I am using the action key on the SD to also disable/enable the RGB of my setup via iCue profile selection in concert with dimming the non-primary displays.

hey i got two problems with my elgato 4k m.2 capture card (drivers should be the newest ones) Using one gaming and one caputre pc
both are related to full screen.
problem 1: when i use full screen (as example in rainbow six siege) it uses 1080p as resolution. Even through its set up at 4k for both displays and ingame. When i disconnect the capture card it changes to real 4k. when connecting again everything is good too
problem 2: when starting a game in full screen the colors are off. The caputre card shows much more colorfull extrem colors. when disconecting and connecting again everything is good

Ok so im having an issue with the Discord apk plug in, it installs fine but when i click on it to link my discord it locks the stream deck software. Have tried uninstalling and deleting the temp files in %appdata% nothing seems to work and it is super frustrating. Anyone having an issue with it?
