then switch the source from the hd60x to something like the elgato capture and then back to the hd60x, restart obs again and then it works again

Yo, had this issue for a long time on two different mics.

While monitoring my elgato wave 1, I sound great through wave link. I sound great through my web browser on my wave 1. In discord, I sound pretty bad and compressed despite all the noise settings being disabled. I have noise suppression off, automatic gain control off, echo cancellation off, and I sound as if I were really compressed as if I were talking through a headset.

I have upgraded to an AT2035 and I sound good on everything else but discord just like before. I also now have the Wave XLR and am still having this issue, so it is not specific to the Wave 1 mic.

So i am using the Elgato face cam and for some reason in obs my camera will like lag like it will like freeze for like a small split second then go back to normal and it does it every so often i am using the latest version of obs 29 but this has happened in the past before and i am not getting any frames missed due to render lag or encoder lag and the cpu usage is max is 1.5 to 2% but mainly 1.5 and less. I am not using any filters or anything that would bog down the usage i contacted obs support and they said since its not anything with obs to contact Elgato for help

if you monitor and output the game capture source you can hear the game over hdmi audio, but if you’re doing a party chat, or using a headset, chatlink pro is ideal with audio set to analog so it can pick up the source.

My Streamdeck mk.2 seems to have found a way to have a transparent screensaver. When it screensavers all the buttons I have set up still show, but it takes two presses to get them to do anything instead of the normal one. Is there a way to fully reset the screensaver, or is there a default blank image that is used?

Hallo! I have a bit of an issue with my Elgato Wave Link Software. So on Windows I have all my games set to "Wave Link: Game Audio" however, with some games like War Thunder, Phasmophobia and a list of others override the setting and output the audio to my "Wave Link: System Audio." As you can tell this is quite annoying as I use system audio for other things and don't want those things as loud as I need my games to be. If anyone can help me that would be amazing and I can provide more information as needed.

Did you try to maybe set the output device in the game menu too? I had a similar issue with Discord which is set to output audio to WaveLink Chat channel, but sometimes likes to act up, and changes it to another device (it changes in the Discord menu - Windows stays on WaveLink Chat, but it's silent).

My issues is that i stream PS5 gameplay to my PC to be able to listen to PC and PS5 audio at the same time, however the audio is slightly desynced from the video signal i get on my monitor through the pass-through. Is there any smart fix for this? The delay seems more significant than what i would imagine it to be.

If the does change it, I suspect the game is caching the device at start up. Hopefully setting the device before launching it should fix it.

So I just figured out the problem for me was the pcie slot 4 was not enough power for the capture card. Needs to be in slot 2 but the 4090 is so big it covers that lol.

Just curious but would the 4k60s+ be more suited for me if Im just gonna capture PS5 gameplay? I'm also read someone saying recording to the sd card is higher quality than if I used OBS to record gameplay. Is this true? Thanks.

I'm having this really weird issue with the Wave XLR, randomly ALL of my audio just stops working with it plugged in, including playbacks on videos like youtube and twitch. Hey everyone. Hoping someone else is running into this issue as well and I'm gonna try my best to explain the issue.

I use my iPhone 13 Pro Max as my Webcam for stream using the Elgato Epoc Cam through Elgato Camera Hub and then selected as the source in OBS for webcam. The app on my phone and the Elgato App work fine. It picks up my phone and connects without problem. I will start stream and my webcam will be working. 30 minutes go by and my facecam will turn off in OBS just giving me the "Please Run Elgato Camera Hub to use Elgato Virtual Camera. I open the Camera Hub app and my phone is still connected and being picked up by the app but not by OBS. Wondering if anyone else is facing this issue or if anyone might know of a fix ?

My settings in Elgato Camera Hub is 1920x1080 60FPS. Im using the USB option within the Epoccam app on my iPhone.

Hey there, all Renegate does (as does any gate) is basically an on/off for your mic. When it's "open" and you are talking for any length of time, you will hear any background noise (tv, fan, etc.) There are a lot of noise-reduction plug-ins out there, but I'd recommend using them sparingly as they will degrade your audio at some point. The absolute best solution for background noise is a quieter, treated environment.

I fixed the issue! I used my headphones in Bluetooth mode but now I plugged in an audio jack into the back of the wave XLR, with low indepedence enabled and the issue seems to be fixed!

My streamdeck+ seems to have gone black today. It shows connected inside the streamdeck app, but all of my button assignments are gone and it wouldn't even let me add new functions if i want to. I've tried restarting my computer as well as unplugging the USB cable, but nothing changes. if I restart the streamdeck app, I see the "elgato" show on the LCD display, but nothing else happens. I have no idea what could've caused this.

Also, I should note that my streamdeck xl plugged in at the same time is working completely normally. Any ideas?

hello all, I have 4k60pro mk2 on pc #2, My game pc has rtx 4080 with 3 monitors, and for some reason the 4th monitor (elgato) is there but its not lit up like its detecting it. When I go to display settings to duplicate 1 and 4 it just stays stuck on disconnect this display. If I go to ngreedia control panel same thing. If I unplug 1 of the 3 monitors on the game pc then it will detect the elgato. Almost like its stuck on 3 monitors only. Weird thing is 2 days ago everything was working fine. I also tried to setup all 4 in the nvidia surround and it wont let me chose a 4th monitor either.

There are small differences in the batches of the LCD screens that make up each button. Unfortunately, apart from checking to ensure the brightness levels in settings are the same or adjusting to be more similar, there is not much more you can do.

Sadly, this isn’t possible. I wanted to be certain so got the box, with the stand, down from the attic. 😅 If you’re looking for an alternative that has less of a base, I’d highly recommend the Master Mounts. They’re also reduced on Amazon UK right now.

My issue: I have 4K60Pro and it's connected to my streaming PC, now my gaming PC is also connected and everything is set on it, I am duplicating my screens with the 4K60 Pro thing and it's good. Now even tho everything is good on my gaming pc, I can't see my 4K60 Pro in Device Manager (or see it in Capture utility/Game Capture HD/Streamlabs or OBS. Please help :(

Hey all - I am interested in buying a StreamDeck - had a question about it before I purchase - I have multiple computers between my house, office, and my wifes business - I am trying to decide between a StreamDeck and a MacroPad - and one of the 'features' I see on the MacroPad is that the settings are saved on the device meaning if I plug it into a new computer - my macros are there. I wasn't sure how the StreamDeck works in this regard? Are the settings stored on device (StreamDeck) or in the software on the computer, meaning I would have to setup each computer?

The StreamDeck is way more powerful at a similar cost - but for my purposes (non-gaming automation) - having stuff with me is a nice feature

Everything is saved to the program. There is no hardware save.

If you don't frequently change it after you set it up you can just create a backup and restore it to a different computer though.

Unfortunately, it's not as easy as just give me a number of lights. There are many variables as to how many you will need. Start with one and add on as needed until you reach the quality you are happy with.

However, Chroma Key will work with just ambient lighting. It will not be of great quality, but it will work. You Will have to take into consideration things like how far is your green screen away from you?, How big is your green screen?, How is your lighting currently?, How high of a quality do you want to achieve with your green screen?, Etc, etc.

For example, I was streaming a game today and the audio from my HD60S+ suddenly changed from normal to sounding like going through a 4" PVC tube. Hi there! So we are trying to run cabling from a tv to a computer in another room. We figured that the easiest solution would be to run the USB C to 3.0 Cable that distance. Does anyone know of a 50ft USB C to 3.0 Cable that would work? Or would a USB 3.0 extension cable work? This would be for the elgato HD60 X capture card. Also can the capture card work with a USB C to USB C cable?

Maximum length of a USB cable is 5m or 16ft. You could try an ACTIVE USB extender cable, but your results will vary.

I recently got a SD+ and I've started using Wavelink to handle all my audio, but I"m running into a bug where my mic audio sounds like it's being summed to stereo (it's a mono source on one track from the interface) with the channels out phase with each other. The issue resolves itself if I open a DAW or audio recording app like audacity. Any ideas? I'm working on getting an example recorded but the issue is it stops happening when I record.

In your PS5 settings, in Screen and Video, set 4K Video Transfer Rate to -1 or -2 to limit the transfer rate. See if that helps

Okay, let me try to put tho whole thing more into detail. I am playing on a ps5 and recording on a pc. The ps5 is running at 4k60, which is connected to a 4k60 pro mk2 capture card and I would like to use obs to record 1440p gameplay. But for some reason when I access the settings of the capture card in obs it only shows 1080p and 4k, and if I try to type in 2560x1440 manually the preview window turns black until I change back to one of the other ones

The monitor of the pc is a 2560x144p if that matters, and the canvas are both set to 1440p in the obs settings.

I'm not sure when it's connected directly, as I have no way to see. When I connect through the HD60 S+, it turns on, and works perfectly. When I connect the HD60 X, it turns off, and I get a white screen if I turn it on. I have gone into safe mode, and reset the video settings, display works in safe mode, but when the PS5 returns to normal mode after choosing automatic settings, it returns to a white screen.

This may be due to the volume of the device being turned down in Windows (different from WaveLink).
• Press Win + R
• Enter control.exe /name Microsoft.Sound
• Right click the “Game” device, and ensure it’s volume is 100%.

Alternatively, if you have a Stream Deck, you can use the “Set Audio Device Volume” action, from the “Sound Deck” plug-in, to set the volume to 100%.

Seems like everytime Control Center on PC tries to load my Ring Light the application instantly crashes. So far what I have tried to fix the problem is

• Uninstall and reinstall (3 times, 1 with keep settings, 2 with clear settings, 3 with clear settings and file digging for any remnants)
• Reset the Ring Light (Seemed to help, it allowed the application to launch and add the device. However, the moment it finished adding the Ring Light the application would crash)

I'm still able to control the Ring Light by other means such as the mobile app and Home Assistant however it sucks that the native Stream Deck buttons won't work without Control Center functional.

Some additional information, the Ring Light is on firmware 1.0.4 (146) and Control Center is on version 1.4.1.983

camlink has a set list of cameras that work, and the gaming capture card may or may not output your camera. i've seen some people get creative, but usually capture cards are for capturing the consoles, ps5, xbox, switch, etc...

Long story short, my pc was working absolutely fine, I’ve installed an Elgato 4k60 pro into a 16x pice slot as it’s the only slot I have that isn’t x2 and it requires x4 minimum. Basically now randomly the PC will stutter and go into a blue screen not sure what is causing if but I’m starting to suspect it’s the Elgato as it was working fine before.

Windows is up to date (windows 11), I did a SFC scan on cmd and nothing came back as corrupted. Graphic drivers are up to date. I have ran memory diagnostics tool and nothing came back as broken. Chipset drivers are upto date. (AMD ryzen 5 3600)

You likely gunna need to wait for them. In most cases for other hardware that I am aware of killing a firmware upgrade in the middle of it will brick the device. There is a reason you are not supposed to upgrade the firmware unless directed to by Elgato support.

I couldn't tell you. There are occasionally steps you can follow that allow a device to be detected enough to manually downgrade/roll back a device. I have not personally dealt with this type of issue with Elgato hardware so I couldn't tell you what their next step would be.

Welp, unfortunately that didn't solve the issue. Randomly last night I had an incident where one of my audio channels decided to go full "darth vader" mode even though there are no VSTs installed and the nvidia audio SDK was uninstalled. I should also note that when this happens, sometimes it randomly rectifies itself as well. I really have no idea what would cause this to randomly happen. Some days there's no problems during 4+ hours of streaming and other days it happens more than once.

The device might be disabled in Windows sound settings; enabling the device should hopefully fix things. It’s worth noting that output devices can only be “playback” devices, e.g. headphones or speakers. Recording devices, such as microphones, can’t be selected.

Hello I don't know if this ever happened to someone here with their Wave:3 but for some reason MicrophoneFX stopped picking any audio from Mic In. I tried to Listen to the device through the sound nothing works.

I am on PS5 and use an HD 60s+ to stream on my laptop. I use an HDMI cord to mirror my laptop onto a monitor which I'm not sure may be causing my issue. When I stream my game audio lags behind sometimes a good 10-20 seconds behind. Anyone know what I can do to fix this?

As mentioned, corsair is the better support option. While same overall company, they are siloed in terms of teams. In my experience with Icue, you ned to go to lighting setup and make sure your version of fans are selected.

That would depend on how you have your mic settings for voicemod and discord but yes. If discord can hear your voice changer then they will also hear the soundboard.

Hey guys, so I stream with a dual PC setup, main gaming PC uses a Elgato 4k60 pro mk.2 while stream PC uses the HD60 S+. I was playing God of War Ragnarok via PS5 routing through the HD60 S+ for stream to the 4k60pro for recording to my main monitor. At random times my monitor would flicker and essentially show the lower part of the screen at the top while the feed on both stream and recording would be fine. Has anyone had this issue?

In your discord settings what is the Mic input you are using?

It should be the VoiceMod mic

but now my obs is struggling with the hd60x aswell

Hey there 👋🏼 I have a question wrt to which mic arm is best for me if I get a wave mic or similar. I have my laptop and it’s noisy fans on my desk. Is it just which works best space wise on my desk? I’m using stream deck + and wave link tho I haven’t been able to get game sound and mic sound when recording. I have applied lots of noise cancelling stuff/vsts to my Steel Series Arctic 7P Headset mic but it doesn’t always seem to work. I have nvidia broadcast software as I thought that might help but honestly I’m a bit lost with it all.

Hello, I just want to know how streamers able to split a lot of audios?, I’m planning to stream soon, and i’m currently using the virtual cable and voice banana, its seem like theres not enough channel for the stuff i need, so far i have mic, google, music, pc gaming, and thats all, wanted to add discord and capture card and some others. But only have 1 channel left. If anyone have an idea or something I would like to know 🙂

Hey @ruby sail 👋 There’s a lot to break down here, so I’ll do my best to answer as much as possible. Typically speaking, the closer you can get a microphone to your mouth, the better. By having it in a closer proximity, the “gain” can be lower, which can often result is a better quality of sound. This can also help to reduce ambient noises, e.g. fans. NVIDIA broadcast could also potentially help to reduce those too. With regards to mic arms, it’s all down to preference - personally I like the LP (low profile), but it may also depend on what other devices you have nearby, i.e. if you’re able to have it underneath your monitors or not.

Hello folks, wondering if anyone has come across this issue before or has any advice. I'm using a Streamdeck on latest update and I cannot get the download button on any of the music or sound effects to work. Downloading plugins works fine though.
If I hit download on a sound effect, for example, it does nothing, but if I relaunch the tab, it says it's downloaded. When I hit "Open Library", it is empty.
