Hey team! I'm praying someone here can help me as I'm just about to throw my HD60s+ out the window! after trying for hours to get any sort of signal through, I have managed to find a USB C cord that gets my computer to recognise it. Running through 4k capture I am getting about 5fps and through OBS I am getting a bit of lag but probably about 20fps. Running through a USB3 port, all drivers up to date as far as I can see. I swear I have watched every video under the sun. I have a i7 12700k and a 2070. Trying to stream my ps5. Video incoming. If anyone has any ideas I may just cry happy tears.

Solved my own issue! turns out even the ultra fast USB3 cable I had apparently wasn't ultra fast enough.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. It seems like Control Center Plug is no longer installed for my Stream Deck. I tried to install it, it acts like it installed but never does. I restart come back to the plug in page again and it says to install again. Frustrating! 😢

Really disliking all the updates to my stream deck it has been causing so many issues like slowing to a crawl, freezing. So many wasted hours fixing my setup several times when the only thing I did was update the software. It shouldn't change what was working just fine yesterday. 🤦‍♂️

Note: I didn't uninstall it or change anything, just updated the software and poof gone.

Also note: my key lights work perfectly from the Control Center pop up from the taskbar.

sadly, not yet. maybe software, and firmware made need an update. It goes a long period of time before it doesn't sync for me though. I have the exact same workaround when it only sees one of my lights.

a ticket with #official-tech-support may be ideal.

i am well aware, and sadly again it's the same workaround with the lights in general. that is why i'm suggesting reaching out to #official-tech-support

yup, it's a simple fix for most light related issues, including with software.

another issue I had was with my streamdeck plus tough screen where the software without the deck could turn them on/off, but taping the touchscreen on the deck didn't, so i had to do the same, and restart the software, and it was fixed.

well, opening up a ticket with #official-tech-support really helps them get these resolved 🙂

yeah sometimes, but keep in mind all tech have boards, or some kind of computing in it. so like any pc power it down, turn it back on is a #1 troubleshooting tip. 🙂

I have made a post about it on the 4K60 Pro MK VRR Beta forum. But the forum got closed fairly quickly after. I have some feedback/bugs with VRR.

GPU: RTX 3090

I followed the guide to set up VRR. I did the update of the software/drivers and the update of the capture card itself. Following the guide you have to select "Display EDID" however when I do so the Nvidia control panel do not detect the g-sync capabilities of my monitor.

The refresh rate is set at 120Hz and G-sync is enabled in the monitor itself. If I bypass the capture card g-sync works.

When setting the EDID to internal and leave it on Default, Nvidia control panel does show the g-sync option. However, it is very buggy (black screens, screen splitting, etc).

ok, in the gsync control panel is it set to enabled and full and window mode or just full? Also just fyi I don't think the monitor is actually G-sync, just G-sync compatible (adaptive sync) So that could very well be the issue as well.

The monitor is G-sync compatible. It is indeed adaptive sync (aka free sync).

for this to work, you're also going to need to put the audio in analog via the capture card.

the thing is, on macs 4k capture utility doesn't exist to do this yet.

if you have bootcamp, or some virtual machine to change it that way, and then use it on your mac, that should work.

it only changes buttons on my hardware if I click on it via the software. If I hit the button it changes the software page but not the hardware display

Since then, my Elgato Facecam is not connecting anymore. Seems like, something went wrong while updating the Firmware.

Hi, anyone can help me? I just bought a HD60X to record my Xbox Series S gameplay. I'm using a MacBook Pro 14" with an M1 Pro. Since the MacBook doesn't have an USB-A port I've tried using an USB-C to USB-C cable. The problem is there is just a black screen (sound works fine) in OBS. Iv'e tried using a Windows laptop using the included cable (USB-C to USB-A) and it works fine. Using an USB-C to USB-C also doesn't works on Windows.

I'm not exactly sure how to describe the problem I'm having but when I record audio with my Wave DX I seem to be getting some weird scratching noises in the recording. Not sure where it is coming from or how to fix it. Also, I'm not sure if I'm entirely explaining the noise that I'm hearing that well. You get 30mins pre-roll free if you do it like that

The best setting doing it similar is 3minutes every 30minutes, then there's only preroll for the first couple minutes you're live, no mid-roll and no pre-roll after that

But, the 3 minute adbreaks would surely remove a lot of viewers, I wouldn't stay if ads are longer than 30seconds

For pre-roll free streams with 30sec adbreaks you need ads every 10minutes, feels better imo

Good morning, I purchased an HD60x a couple days ago in order to stream with my switch. I have the 4k Capture Utility software installed to do this. However, it won't pick up any video from the switch. All of my cords are plugged in correctly and I can get the image up just on my monitor, but not through the software it just gives me a black screen. Any body have any ideas on how to fix this?

it could be the cord you're using I had that issue with my old capture card, but i would get a crackling sound. I replaced the cord and it fixed it immediately

Okay so, my streamdeck works incredibly bad for the official Discord plugin & the Barraider Spotify integration. Every time, i put my pc on, after it has been off, the discord plugin doesnt load automatically. When i click a discord button, like the mute button, it gives me the warning icon (⚠️ ) on the button. Same for Spotify. I need to delete the plugin & re-install it again every time, also have to re-authenticate with discord & spotify after i re-installed the plugin. It works again after i do that, but when i turn my PC off and turn it on again, everything is gone again and its not working.

I'd like to know how to fix this, because this is incredibly annoying.

at this time, thatis the only workaround for the keylights, it to power it off, and power it back on. maybe a pc reboot might help as well. power them off for a min or 2, and then it should be ok, until it desyncs. then repeat this process. You can always suggest a #feature-request for improvement, and also open a ticket with #official-tech-support to see if this can get correct permanently.

No volume on the PC or your stream/monitor mix are touched at all. This is the same as if you had an old pair of speakers and turned the volume down on the speaker itself. Its a hardware control.

Are you asking about the audio that would come through it originally?

The dial controls the 3.5mm headphone jack on the back on the Wave XLR. If you are not using that for your headphones/audio then that dial controls nothing at all.

It you have your Monitor Mix set to the Headphones (Elgato Wave:XLR) channel or if you send audio from anywhere else to that channel that that it what will come out the headphone jack. You can then use the dial to control the volume level of those sounds from a hardware level NOT software.

Follow up: I completed the the order. Used a Windows 11 PC on Chrome. I saw the structure of the cart URL, and built a URL with everything I wanted. It went directly to the Corsair checkout.

When I did it that way and didn't go through the site cart creation process, it worked.

You may need to find someone who has a wave 1/3 and xlr and see if they can try it. I see no reason it shouldn't work, but the wave link software may not let you use the wave xlr if there's no mic in it.

If you only have one monitor, set up your computer as normal. Connect the PS5 to the capture card, and the capture card to the USB of the desktop. Output is empty. Bear in mind you'd need to play within your software preview this way. If you want a passthrough display, that's what you would connect to the output of your card

The stream deck works normally, but when turning on my pc the buttons just go light gray - not what is in the app. I have tried reinstalling the app, restarting the computer many times, powering it off from the wall + power switch and a different usb slot. Im sure there is no issue with the product itself, because when unplugging it, restarting the computer and turning it on again the elgato logo shows. When logging into windows, it happens.

I cant say yes because I havent got that exact setup but nvenc uses near no resources, OBS still has to render the scenes however, which will use your main GPU anyway, so there will be a hit to performance... at 1080p60 however, this shouldnt be an issue, i wouldnt expect it to be so on a 2080 Ti

but there might be a slight performance impact from OBS rendering the scenes

(which is unavoidable without quite a bit of tinkering)

although saying that, as long as your GPU isnt pegged at 100%, it wont matter

My first guess is that the software is crashing at startup. Your Stream Deck should be plugged into a USB 2.0 port directly into the back of the computer. NOT in a USB 3.x port and NOT into a USB hub. After switching ports; reboot. Just wondering, but does the internal 4k capture ever need a driver update at all? The reason I'm asking this, is because at times on the OBS it keeps shutting down for a second before coming back, and it happens at random times, and sometimes during a stream right in the middle of some action and my viewers lose out on that action because the capture is blanking out. OK, it seems to be working, but looks like the top part is stable while the bottom half is unstable, at least at first. Now everything looks like it's working correctly now.

And as soon as I hit the start streaming button on the OBS the unstableness comes back for a little bit, and stays off and on, too strange

The glitching is still going on, and the images with the glitching is starting to make me wonder about the update. Just wondering, do they know about the image glitches at all?

Hello, I have a problem with my Capture Card HD60 X. Everything worked fine yesterday, but today the elgato 4K capture utility software is no longer getting any audio from my console. first thing, your audio must be in analog via capture card. 2nd, the chat link pro the long end goes to the capture card audio, the one needing an input connects to your headset, and the other small end connects to your controller. I hope this helps!

It's a passthrough - your PC becomes invisible to the xbox. So you connect the xbox to the IN on the 4K60Pro and the OUT to the xbox monitor as usual. Then play as normal, but you'll see the PC is capturing your xbox gameplay in the software you use to record on the PC while you play xbox as usual.

Hey @azure compass 👋 The biggest difference between these two capturing devices is passthrough. Unlike the Cam Link Pro, the 4K60 Pro has an HDMI in, and an HDMI out port; this allows the signal to be captured, and also “passthrough” to a monitor, allowing the PS5 to be played with very low latency. For capturing gameplay with a PCI-e card, I would recommend the 4K60 Pro. Alternatively, for an external card, I would highly recommend an HD60 X, which is an absolutely fantastic card.

For now, i always have to check if they are enabled, if not i have to turn them on manually each time. Trying to get it to sample in game voice chat, rather than my mic itself. But setting the Capture device to the same output as my game audio doesnt pick up any audio at all.

Hello, i’m been running into small annoying issue with my elgato s HD where my tv screen goes black for few second then goes back to normal then turns off again then back on. I tried 5 different hdmi cable and have fully updated software, been happening recently since last year. Any idea why?

Nothing affected on my any of my streams obs or any captures stuff when it happens

Hey @woeful basin 👋 If I understand correctly; to play the sampler through voice chat, i.e. so your friends in Discord can hear it, you’ll need to setup routing using something such as Wave Link, or VoiceMeeter. Here are some useful links to get started:

Both, but i am trying to sample audio directly from game chat (players in lobbies) and play that audio back through my mic into game chat

Where the tutorials i've found only show sampling directly from your own microphone and playing back through the game chat

Basically, if my friend says something in game, i want to be able to use the sampler to capture his audio for playback, not my own

ahh, gotcha! So the sampler is able to capture any audio device (i.e. it can be a playback or recording device). Due to limitations within Windows, you can only play audio through a playback device; this is where the routing tutorials come into play.

For capturing moments that have just happened, I would also recommend the “Clip Audio” button; it captures the last X seconds of audio.

There are two primary ways of routing audio, via hardware, or via software. If you have a Wave Mic, WaveXLR, or Stream Deck+, you’ll be able to use Wave Link (hardware routing). Otherwise you’ll be able to use VoiceMeeter and do software routing.

I did, for a while, but very recently it stopped … may have to do with a windows update I just did but it could just as easily be a fluke lol … anyway, it’s closing fine now and I did nothing other than the windows update 🙂

got a problem with stream deck and wavelink: after startup i appearently start wavelink, but in the background and nowhere to be found
i can use my streamdeck+ to change output and adjust the volume, but as soon as i "start" wavelink the normal way (via clicking on it on the desktop) the streamdeck software doesnt recognize it anymore
got the problem now for awhile, not particular problematic in way of it just being in the background, but if i wanna add/remove audiolines in wavelink or change the volume via the software (laying back in the chair and not reaching the streamdeck) i HAVE to open the software and after that moment, i cant use it on my stream deck anymore

I have an issue that popped up with one of the recent updates where Wave Link is not pushing out audio from OBS sources to Stream. I get the monitor and I can see the audio level changes in OBS as well, but it's muting it for stream - any ideas? (I haven't got any of the stream channels muted)

usually double check my audio properties to make sure after an update before I go live that my inputs are matching. maybe remove it, and start fresh.

I've even tried completely uninstalling/reinstalling WaveLink, removing all previous settings and folders but no luck

Elgato To PS5: No Screen Pass Through or No Display?

When I connect my Elgato to my PS5, my Elgato software displays a black screen and I don't see the screen pass through. I've tried several hdmis, updated my drivers, and even turned off HDCP... Any suggestions?

my gf's wave link software is a bit messed up. When she streams she has to mute discord, music, etc on the streamer mix for no echoing to occur. But its weird because they dont mute for stream. It just takes away the echo. It has a slash through the stream mix while the personal mix is unmuted meaning its supposed to be muted for stream but not her. So the issues that I need help with is to fix the echoing. and have muting work correctly if she wanted to mute an audio channel for stream.
