Hey guys, yesterday I came across a problem with my Elgato HD60S+ capture card where it did not output signal to my new monitor. Upon testing and doing everything listed on the troubleshooting website, I was able to make it output both video and audio to OBS and 4k Capture utility, but when I plug in the HDMI out to my monitor and switch to the HDMI input, my monitor says no signal and then my Elgato stops outputting both video and audio to OBS and does not output video again until it is turned off and on again and is unplugged from my monitor. I have tested the same Elgato on a different computer and monitors and Nintendo Switches and it works completely fine. I don't know why my Elgato refuses to work with my monitor after years of working perfectly fine. I was wondering if any of you may have had the same problem in the past and know how to fix it?

it's worth noting that when I exit out of the store after installing the OBS studio, it shows 'install' again, as if it didn't install the first time

and this is only OBS studio that's not working, all other apps in the store seem to install with no problem

Exit the stream deck software completely (right click > exit from the notification area of the task bar)
Uninstall stream deck
Delete the folder: %APPDATA%\Elgato\StreamDeck

Note: this will delete all settings for the streamdeck and all profiles.

im trying to record a clip in the videos where i rewind and for some reason when i try to do so it doesnt record the first part of the clip and only records the last part and the rest of the recording

then it restarts flashback recording

so i can't record the clip and also its lost forever so i can't go back and retrieve it

hello all i am not getting any sound from my elgato into obs. I am using an hd60s and have the chat link going into the analog port. I can hear sound in my headphones but I see that there is nothing on obs and even when I record nothing comes up.

Ok, so that was most likely the cause. It will not however restore your profiles. You will have to recreate them. But more than likely fixing those errors will make them stay when you reboot.

hey everyone.

I'm trying to create a simple multi action for opening OBS > selecting a scene collection > starting virtual camera (via hotkey execute)

The first part works fine and OBS opens but doesn't seem to take the action of selecting the scene from the multi action....if i press the button again to run the multi action it selects the scene but I get the warning asking me if i want to open obs again...any ideas to force it to select the scene after opening OBS?

Just a thought but it might be trying to change the scene before OBS is actually fully open. If you have not you should add a delay between opening OBS and selecting a scene.

hey there, would anyone be able to help me with this? i just got the stream deck+, when i plug it in it shows "elgato" on the screen, but the software isnt recognizing it so i cant edit or use it. ive tried swapping the cables used with my deckXL, and same thing, XL works with +'s wire and + still doesn't work with XL's wire. not sure if i got a defective one or maybe if my PC just won't recognize the +. :/
also, does the + really not need USB3? it came with a 2.0 cable which i was not expecting

Not really. It simply comes down to how windows runs it's startup process. You can adjust the "priority" in the task manager however that will not likely make a major change. It will give it a miniscule boost within the group that contains it. Windows startup launchs things at the same time however it does so in groups based on it's registry location I believe. The Wave Link software only finally launchs when it's group is processed.

There are programs out there that will let you delay the startup of other applications which allows windows to get another group faster but otherwise 🤷

I've received an Elgato HD60 X as an early christmas gift and I've been trying to get it to work with my Nintendo Switch. The passthrough works, but the software keeps notifying me that there is No Signal, but it does detect that there is an 1080p30 signal present somewhere.

When I connect my laptop it's a bit of a guess if it works or not. On my laptop itself it doesn't but on my pc it does.

Someone recognizes this problem and might be able to help me?

and secondly, make sure you are using the nintendo switch power supply. It won't transmit through the HDMI if you are just using a phone charger or amazon power block

Yeah, I'd watch your encoder, watch your CPU, and try some different USB ports to see if anything changes. Otherwise it has to be a setting somewhere. I assume you've made sure to reboot the PC?

What do you mean? There’s an Action called “Keybind” under System that will let you trigger a keybind on button press

I've just added it as a new Video Capture Device and I still get the No Signal screen. Passthrough is working though. And the LED is a constant pink color. (Might be pink though, just compared it with a few youtube video's and it seems the same but i'm colourblind which doesn't make it easier. When it boots it blinks blue a few times and then turns lighter)

I'm looking at streaming a few games that I play and I was looking for advice because I have rather an unusual situation.

My pc is a few years old and does run the games I like to play at decent framerate, but only barely - if I were to try streaming with it too, it would be completely crippled.
I am, however aware of dual pc streaming - but I don't have a second pc. I have a phone that has 16gb of ram and a snapdragon processor, so it should handle streaming perfectly fine - is there a way to use this for dual setup streaming? (could I attach it to, for example, a hd60 and stream the PC games from my phone?)

alright. on your output in settings, go to Recording. you should see a Recording drop down under the Audio Tracks. Try a few of those different options to see if any of them come back with less stutter. You can also scroll a little farther and check your CPU usage preset. Try veryfast on that option to use less CPU

cam control is for facecam, or facecam pro. however you can use an obs plugin called Move transistion and use the stream deck to control the filter of your source, and make it big, or small, via resizing your camera. focus, shutter speed, etc… will not be a thing for the camera.

I woke up this morning to zero audio output through speakers or headphones. The Link software shows the green bars bouncing like it can hear the apps producing audio but nothing comes out of my speakers. (I'm using the Wave XLR in Windows 11)

I did the rename the folder in %appdata% trick and set it all back up, didn't work. It was working fine last night and all I did was turn off my displays. System audio shows it's set to WaveLink System and the other sources are pointed to their respective locations. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello! I’m new to Elgato and recently I got an Elgato HD60 S+ and downloaded the recording software with it. Unfortunately I came up with an issue that I am unsure how to fix. How come my live commentary audio is playing through my game audio? I was trying to play Super Smash Bros on my switch and I noticed that whenever I turn on live commentary it goes through the game audio as well which has a delay and it confuses me greatly whenever I try to talk. I want to be able to talk and hear my voice so that I can hear if I am too loud for the recording, but also be able to hear gameplay as well through headphones. Is there a setting that can fix this?

It’s a PCIE card, via Internal PC part. Just make sure you have a PCIE slot not occupied with nvme, and that the PCIE slot available is compatible. Lastly, make sure your PC meets the system requirements.

Just installed Stream Deck and tried the Discord plugin -- it never asks for authorization, and doesn't seem to be able to control Discord at all (e.g. mute, deafen)

Correct. The Wave Link software requires either a Wave mic, Wave XLR, or Stream deck +.
The Wave DX XLR mic is technically a wave mic however as it connects via an XLR cable without using the Wave XLR the Wave Link was no way to detect its an Elgato Wave mic.

If not, view the output on the same display as the input. The signal is digital (ones and zeros) so it can't affect the color. However, the display you are viewing it on can affect how the colors display (differences in display types: LED, OLED, LCD, etc)

Hi, I recently ordered an Elgato HD60 X and I just found out in a video from Elgato that there can be problems with sound capture on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation consoles (sound only in the headset instead of stream/recording in addition).
To fix its problems just connect its headset jack cable to the HD60 X chat link, the problem have I also ordered Arctis 7X Wireless, so the headset is wireless.
Will I have the sound problem anyway please?

In needs to be connected to your console, Out needs to be connected to your TV/Gaming Monitor. Usb-c needs to be connected to your Streaming PC's USB 3.0 mobo port.

Hello, I am using the Elgato Facecam and while playing in-game I experience frame drops, not any hitches but it's very obvious that the frames are not normal. I've had this issue for a while, and updating the Camera Hub and firmware version etc has not fixed it. I have updated all my graphics card drivers as well. I literally only get the frame drops with Camera Hub open, or if the camera is activated in OBS. If anyone has any ideas on why this happens, would be great if you could let me know. Thank you!

I've got the stream deck plus and after i wake my computer after sleep i dont get any sound, the apps assigned to the dials are not recognised resulting in no volume control. I've also set up wave link, assigned each input to a system, browser, game etc and initially i though this had worked however just now i woke my computer and it had no sound apart from my mic input. After a full restart the issue gets fixed. Has anyone else had this issue?

Sleep mode wreaks havoc on USB devices. Always has and most likely always will. The solution is to not sleep your computer.

Ahh man, i've got mixers, mics, hubs, keyboards, lights, other stream decks and more all connected via usb they all wake and are ready to roll, having to shut down my pc every time i'm away for a few hours is a PITA, i'll try screen saver. Though i'm really hoping there will be a fix for this as it's a dealbreaker for me and i'm sure it'll be for many as the device gains traction.

It's not a bug. It's the fact that the OS is suspending the USB devices. If the device is "dumb" like a mouse or keyboard, it's fine. However, on a "smart" or advanced device this will always occur.

It's the very nature of sleep mode.

I have asked this question before but never get help with it. I have to reset my key lights EVERYDAY. I got the new Steam deck plus and read that the issue was fixed with it. Reset everything and it worked great.

Got on today and my key light buttons are red on the stream deck, Control center has no accessories. I just dont understand why I have to manual reset them every day. My router is in the same room. I have not issues with my internet at all with any device.

I google and read forum after forum. I can always get them to reconnect but I can't for the life of me keep them on more than a day. What am I doing wrong? When they work they are amazing. But I have cheap walmart lights I use more becuase I dont have to reset them daily or seemly every time I use them.

I always turn them off, and back on via the switch when it doesn't recognize it. 99% of the time it fixes after that. Just close out stream deck software and relaunch it and then it usually works.

Did you follow the instructions on configuring it correctly? Remember that you have to use Windows advanced audio setup to push audio from your devices/apps to virtual devices created by WaveLink.

You can try capturing your gameplay using OBS, and push this raw footage as a "webcam" to vdo.ninja (turn on virtual camera in OBS, and use it on vdo.ninja as a source). On your streaming setup just use browser source and paste vdo.ninja address. Since it's local P2P connection, it shouldn't have lag issues. There's also NDI, but I didn't really dive into this yet. EDIT: please keep in mind that this method is experimental and needs testing! :D)

PS5 1440p capture with HD60S+: I was streaming Hollow Knight @ 1440p 60hz with all PS5 hdr and other visual enhancement options disabled. The game capture would periodically disappear during very specific actions on the screen and then return automatically. My gameplay monitor (also 1440p) did not experience any issues at all.

I'm thinking maybe the PS5/game might do some random resolution switching briefly in some cases, which causes the HD60S+ to lose sync until the game returns to 1440p. I switched the PS5 to 1080p mode to continue the stream and there were zero issues for the remaining gameplay.

Anyone else ever hear of or experience issues like this capturing on the PS5?

After i turned off the 120hz feature on the ps5 it let me passthrough at 4k60 hdr. Its just weird, because I always had that setting on but my consoled never switched from 4k to 1080p. The only time it does it is when I plug the ps5 into the capture card.

Hey was hoping someone could help me out if possible.

I am trying to setup my Wave XLR and Wave DX with OBS and I'm having some difficulties.

There are actually 2 main problems I am having.

1: I have quite a bit of background noise that comes into the room so I can't add the stream mix to obs because it doesn't seem to offer enough filters for the microphone, like the noise suppression that obs offers, so I am just connecting the microphone directly to obs and that gets around that problem.

2: Since I am directly adding my microphone to obs and not using a stream mix I am instead using the monitor mix, but I am not getting any audio from the Wave XLR monitor mix into obs. The monitor mix volume shows up in the Wave XLR but doesn't show up in obs itself.

Would really appreciate any help anyone could offer. Thank you!

Nevermind. I think I figured out how to just add the audio effects to the microphone in Wave XLR instead of in OBS and then I can just work through the stream mix.

Hello. I've been having some very odd, very specific issues with my mic and Webcam and some of them occur when I attempt to stream to Twitch using my Elgato HD60s. I'm wondering if it's a specific driver issue conflicting with my mic and Webcam? I've tried a few things to diagnose it myself and the issue is persistent so I'm hoping yall can help.

It's a plug in that you run out through a DAW, and into another audio capture program, like Wave Link. All I want is for my guitar audio from my DAW to be received by Wave Link. But this stupid program just will NOT recognize it. At all.

Thank you. Didn't mean to sound like a jerk. It's just something that I "thought" I had figured out earlier, but I just went back and watched my 4 hour VOD, and none of my guitar audio was being picked up in my stream, and everything routes through Wave Link. All other channels work great, and they were clear in the VOD. I just really want to be able to stream my instrument, and it was the whole reason I got the Wave XLR.

If you manage to get it to work in OBS but not in Wave link, wave link could be at issue.
If you can't manage to get it to work in obs and wave link, its on the plugin

I'm taking some screenshots right now of my software routing, but just so there is a visual of the hardware: I have my microphone going into the wave XLR, which is connected to my PC. I also have a scarlet 2i4 interface that I'm using for my guitar. The DAW software i use is Presonus Studio One 6. When I have studio one open, and I try to add it in the wavelink software as an audio source, it's not being recognized. And since the wavelink software won't let me assign other hardware to an input directly, the workaround that is on the elgato website is to use the ReaStream plug in in both my DAW and in wavelink. Basically, the intention is for both softwares to be able to talk to each other via local broadcast, and then stream it out through the auxiliary line in wavelink. What's happening is I can hear the guitar in my headphones, but no wave response shows up on Aux 1, where I have the receive signal from ReaStream assigned.

In stream labs, I can assign Scarlett as an audio input device, but I can't hear myself in real time.

When I strum the guitar, it shows an active signal. If I turn on input monitoring, I can hear the guitar, but there is a noticeable delay, and if I'm trying to play along to a song, and what I'm hearing is one second off from what I'm playing, then everything falls apart, and I just turn off my stream.

Wave link can add hardware devices directly to its mixer, replacing one of its aux tracks. But that won’t work?
You can’t put your amp sim in wave link? Is it not a vst?

Assuming that doesn’t work, I’m sorry I’ve not used reastream before.
You say elgato recommends it for this use? I was going to say wave link probably just isn’t compatible with audio streamed in that way, but if they are recommending it than surely they know it works, right?

This kind of routing often runs into latency problems anyway, since you need it to be so close to zero latency.
It would be a great solution to mix it in analog.
Could you take reastream out of the path and instead run analog out from the scarlet back into the computer with a line-in to your built in sound card ? Wave link will happily add the line input to the mixer.
So it’s as if the scarlet and studio one are a separate computer. Doing their own thing and then the low latency output from scarlet comes back to the line in.
You’re at the mercy of your sound card how low-latency that would be though

So if elgato recommends this plugin, it could be time to get with their official tech support.

everything is working with my elgato and xbox EXCEPT for im getting a "no signal" error on OBS BUTTTT i am able to pick up audio from the elgato. so if i hit record on obs i can still hear the game in the recording, but i cant see anything. FYI i am using a macbook pro 2017.
second question, why is my voice not picking up in recordings on OBS? you can hear gameplay in the recording, but i started an xbox party chat and tried talking and its not picking that up.

I have Stream Deck Pedal setup with one profile - left pedal with Hotkey "backslash" and right pedal with hotkey "/". This works to control some games but not others. Changing the hotkey/in-game keybind doesn't fix it either. Any ideas why this might be?

Hey! I switched to Mac OS yesterday and I'm having one problem with Wave Link. I use the Wave XLR and I want to use the "MicrohponeFX" for OBS and Discord but no sound is coming from this source. I only get my mic with effects on "Wave Link Stream" but not on the FX track. Yesterday it worked for a while but today it doesn't work. I tried restarting Wave Link and reconnecting USB, still nothing. Is there some kind of a fix?

I was wondering if I could receive some help setting up Elgato HD60X on Nintendo Switch using Macbook Air 2022 M2. I followed the tutorials and troubleshooted for nearly 4 hours yesterday and I had a very difficult time capturing game audio. I would test stream and test record and no sound would be recorded. I managed to properly set up my microphone and desktop audio (using third party app).
I was able to properly hear my macbook and microphone, but I had difficulty toying with audio settings and would hear an echo with macbook music playing softly whenever i would start a stream or record.
I really wanted to try to walk through this with tech support or something from elgato or OBS but I had trouble contacting them in general. I was wondering if anyone could try to walk me through this. I'm just curious if I am encountering all these problems because of what I have (Macbook, elgato HD60x, nintendo switch). Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much!

Is there a known issue with StreamDeck Mk2 not working with MacBook Pro (2019 model) running Ventura 13.1? I can configure buttons but out of the box even the Welcome Button didn't trigger anything either. When I press buttons on SD, nothing happens on the Mac.
