What kind of case and motherboard do you have currently? Swapping cases isn't hard but if you're really afraid of messing something up I'd ask any friend that has built a computer before, no need to spend tons of money for "professionals" to do it 🙂

I bought hd60 X because I sold my HD60s to get something better..but I found a problem...1st of all elgato game capture hd can't find the capture card only the 4k utility program..and 2nd I wanted to be in the elgato game capture hd because I want to color grade the console as I did to my HD60s

When ever I turn off my Logitech G PRO X Wireless headset, leave the Wave Link software running and turn my headset back on I have to restart Wave Link for it to work with my headset. I can still see the headset in the monitor dropdown menu, but there's no audio going to the headset until i restart Wave Link.

Q for the audience: I restarted my pc yesterday, and I think that had stream deck software to the latest. Well... the latest one ... doesn't have OBS in it. at all. the stream deck connection in OBS is 5.3.2.10 (Which is old maybe?) but also says unconnected. Interestingly I followed the various tutorials on the site re: replacing dlls etc. Except I cannot find the existing dlls in obs? They're not.. in the plugin folder, and yet OBS says it's there.

I'm gonna contact support, but thought I'd ask in here if this has happened to anyone else or not and if there's an "easy" solution

Using wavelink and recently it stops my computer from shutting down. If the app is open and I press shutdown it will just wait and say “this app is preventing shutdown” so I have to press “shutdown anyway” or close the app then do it again. Does anyone have a solution to this?

I am still having issues with my Elgato FaceCam. I bought an USB-C Extension Cable to have a bit longer cable but my camera isnt recognized by OBS anymore. - It only works when I use the Elgato cable without any extension.

I tried:
PC -> USB Extension -> USB-C Elgato Cable -> Elgato (3 different ones, all data cables)
PC -> Elgato USB-C cable -> USB-C Extension Cable -> Elgato Cam

both dont work.. Can someone help me?

Not much to do. You already know your problem. The extension cable. USB cables are not made equally. The one you have won't work. You can attempt to get another one but there are no guarantees. The product works one its own so that shows it's fine.

Ive tried completely turning my pc off and letting the power drain as well as replugging the cables, using different cables, completely turning off my switch it and turning it back off and reinstalling both Game Capture HD as well as 4K Capture Utility and across the board nothing has changed it is stuck on NO SIGNAL and passthrough also isnt working

The best way to do that is trough NewTek NDI Tools. Its free and works like a dream. Even if you have other PCs over the internet. It is a bit of research but very easy to use

Firmware updates can overwrite the bootup process for the camera, if that was interrupted I don't know of a way to fix it.

Hello. I have a question regarding Stream Deck -> "Volume Controller" -> Manual Detection

I used this for quite sometime with Soundtrack by Twitch so I could turn on and off, volume up and down.
Now it is no longer recognizing Soundtrack by Twitch as an available application.

Has anyone else encountered this issue or a similar issue?

EDIT: I restarted my PC and it resolved the issue. Can anyone explain to me what caused this to happen in the first place to prevent it in the future? Thanks!

Has anyone had any issues when pressing buttons, it does other actions besides the ones assigned to the button?

For instance, I've already pressed the toggle chroma key filter button and it turned off my Key Light, and/or started the stream... (got buttons for both of that), also, pressing other stuff frequently sends me to a specific scene (it's always this same scene, had a button to go to this scene as well, tried deleting that button to see if it would stop sending me there (as if pressing one button would be being understood as pressing another), but it still sent me there).
I couldn't find a way to reproduce it in a deterministic way, sometimes it does these, but most of the time it works fine.

Already disconnected everything, profiles, OBS, changed ports, uninstalled and reinstalled, updated (latest firmware).

I have a feeling this started after the OBS 28.0 update where you had to download a lot of stuff separately if you still wanted to have everything working, I remember coming here https://obsproject.com/kb/obs-studio-28-plugin-compatibility and had to download stuff because most of it wasn't out yet.

Anyone has any idea? :/

The WaveXLR has a gain range of 0-75dB, so will be fine for the Shure SM7B (which requires around 50dB gain)

It will; a quick tip - with dynamic mics (like the SM7B) you want to be as close to the microphone as possible, with as low gain as possible, typically around the 50dB mark. This will produce a great sound 👌

I never had the issue when restarting, but I saw it once in a while when powering the computer off or unplugging the facecam. I think it went away, but I haven't turned the PC off in a while.

Okay I ended up fixing the issue for me! I didn’t have the mic plugged in to my actual computer just a usb thing that’s plugged in. When I plugged it into a port on my tower the firmware update didn’t fail anymore!

I've got a Stream Deck Plus and I'm using a USB Microphone (HyperX Quadcast 1) with NVIDIA Noise Removal running on it within the Wave Link softrware and I'm trying to output the mic to Discord's mic input. A search on Elgato's site says that I should set the input to Wave Link MicrophoneFX but I can't see this listed in my Devices (I'm guessing its something you only get with a Wave Mic?). howdy, just bought the HD60 X to replace the S+ so I could do 1440p capture. When connected to my M1 Mac Studio OBS says no signal and QuickTime wont capture it either. Video does show up on the pass-through monitor though. I'm capturing a Windows PC gaming rig. If I swap the device over to the Windows PC the 4k Capture Utility shows the video just fine and the little light is blue. Swap back to the Mac and get no signal and a flashing red light. I'm not moving the HDMI cables during this process. Changing resolutions on the gaming PC doesn't change anything. I submitted a ticket but thought I would ask here as well. The VSTs are sent to the monitor/stream mixes so things like OBS would catch them using the stream mix but for something like discord it would just just the raw audio unless the MicrophoneFX output is avaliable which its not currently for XLR devices.

Well you have several options. Off the top of my head you can use the "Audio Mute" plugin to just mute the mics source. You can also use the GoXLR plugin and just use the Routing Table Change option to toggle the mic to the broadcast stream mix.

Excellent! That's a very good thing. Cell-based internet really isn't good enough for streaming live, but a cable connection should be stable enough the vast majority of the time.

Throttled means that the company is slowing down your speed either to keep you under a monthly limit, because the tower doesn't have the bandwidth to go faster, and it's a shared connection, which is why the connection is awful during the holidays, everyone is home more, so the tower has a lot more traffic to deal with. Not sure which is the case, in your situation.

In any case, shouldn't be an issue once you get your cable connection

This button toggles the Chroma key filter within the camera source, but if I press it, it:

1. Changes to a specific scene
2. Turns on my Keylight
3. Starts my stream

I tried changing some button positions in my Streamdeck profile but it doesn't seem to change anything.
Also, it does that a few times, I cancel the stream, change to a different scene, toggle the chroma key, pressing it again does all those once again, but after some time it reverts to a working button, which it stays for a long(er) time, to start doing crazy stuff again.

Also tried pressing the yellow, blank button, it did the same 3 things (once), then stopped doing it.

The Streamdeck is clean, never hit it or anything, never spilled any liquids, I don't press the buttons with a lot of force, it's plugged into the back of the motherboard into a 2.0 slot, changed the slot but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

Was using 5.3.3 until today, updated to 6.0.2 to no avail. OBS is 28.1.2. Uninstalled and reinstalled stuff as well but didn't work.

Created a new profile to check if it could be buggy or something, still happens.

Both programs are being run into Administrator mode. Opened the Streamdeck software after I opened OBS but this still happens.
Couldn't find anyone having similiar issues on the internet but found a lot of people with buttons being pressed randomly without you actually even touching the Streamdeck, this happened once a couple days ago, but pressing a button and having a lot stuff happening which is not what that button is assigned for, is happening for a few months.
Been driving me nuts :( have no idea what else it could be

Hey guys my stream is not picking up sound via chat link. I’ve used it for a solid year and no issues then yesterday nothing. I was able to stream by going into the el gato capture program, changing my settings to hdmi out for sound, then running obs for streaming to twitch and having to leave the el gato program open to hear my game.

No worries, I spent hours last night trying to get it to work and I was able to have audio effects be heard through my mic in discord. But most of them are so quiet they don’t fully come through.
I have it set up so the audio from streamdeck is routed to the SFX channel in wavelink
Then I used NDI as an output and input from SFX to the mic channel
I’m not sure if maybe discord settings are messing with the SFX

In case anyone else comes across this issue I have an update. Plug the HD60 X in to one of the regular USB 3 ports on the Mac. The Thunderbolt and USB-C ports will not work for some reason. As soon as I moved the device to the regular USB 3 port it worked as expected in OBS.

Hey all, just got a Stream Deck + and having some issues. Main issue is the Volume Controller plug in doesn't give me the option of "auto detection", just manual detection. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and restart my machine. I've seen in the videos that it should be there but it's not. Any ideas?

Second question I had was if there was a way to set up volume for the dial while the button does something else. I see the hotkey feature for ccw and cw directions, but I can't set volumes for the specific application

If using the built in volume plugin then no. Those actions are set and you can not adjust it. Turn for volume and press dial for mute.

The hotkey plugin would allow you to do this if you know the hotkey the application uses for volume though unless the application supports global hotkeys you would need to be in the application to use it.

Hi everyone, I'm having an issue connecting my stream deck to OBS. I've reinstalled the latest stream deck software. My OBS recognizes the plugin (version 5.3.2.10) but it says it's "Not Connected"

I was hoping someone here might have some advice for me.
I have a Elgato HD60 Pro, and last night spent about 5 hours trying to fix an audio issue.

I have had this in the past and I am kicking myself because now that its back I have no clue how I fixed it.

When I try and use my capture card on my computer I am getting Random audio stutters/digital distortion. sounds "works" but then gets small bits of static sounds and like its crackling here and there.

I have tried following darn near every guide out there.

I have reinstalled drivers,
I have set the "microphone" Elgato Capture card default property's to 48K DVD quality,
I have tried many different sources in OBS
I have tried in OBS changing the Audio Output Mode to each different one,
i have tried both the Game Capture HD and newer 4kHD Elgato software,
Have changed HDMI cord
Have tried different consoles.

I am sure i did more but cant remember each one. Any help would be amazing to get this going. Thanks Yall.

Hello, after I updated OBS to 28, the OBS button folder at the right menu vanished and when I get into the plugins section to install those buttons back, it looks like it successfully downloads the plugin turning the button to "uninstall", but the buttons themselves never show up. After I close and open the Stream deck software and going into the plugins sections again, the OBS buttons aren't installed.

My OBS version is 28.1.2, Stream deck 6.0.2, and Stream deck plugin for OBS 5.3.2.10.

I have ONE single input that will not accept discord voice. I can put discord voice in any of my inputs EXCEPT the one I want. Voice Chat. It worked fine until today. Now I can play music through it, any other sounds I want, but NOT discord. Any ideas how to fix this?

That's what discord creates in windows sound mixer and that just copies what is in windows sound mixer.

1 is for voice call. The other should be for things like discord notifications and embed videos

Hello! I started a firmware update with the wave xlr, and has been stuck for several hours at Firmware Update, Initializing, do not unplug wave device. Only info I can find googling so far is for wave:3 mics saying to end wavelink task in task manager, and try a different usb port. Is that valid with wave xlr without bricking it?

you can use 2160p60, on twitch it will scale down to 1080 but you'll have a much sharper image, than using 1080 on the cam

5/8” (5 / 8 inch) is the thread size, i.e. the size of the piece needed to screw into the microphone. Thankfully this is a very common / standard size for microphones. If you’re looking for a mic arm, both the Elgato Mic Arm and Mic Arm LP will work.

I am terribly sorry for the ping..
But i've been having this issue for a few months now, (video attached above)
i sent a support ticket a while ago but haven't received a reply yet..

Here are some of the troubleshooting steps i've done so far:

The camera is plugged in properly on both ends,
it is selected in the video input in OBS,
it is not being used by another program,
i am not using a USB hub,
both USB 3.0 and 2.0 connections do not work,
the latest drivers and firmware are installed,
i am using Windows and every other program that could be using the camera is disabled or not running.

Restarting the computer does not work,
The camera is being recognized by windows,
Using different USB ports does not solve the issue, (Mainly using a USB 3.2 port)
I am using OBS 28.1.2,
Uninstalling and reinstalling the camera drivers did not solve this issue.

In addition, the facecam works in every single other program (i.e: Discord, teams, zoom, firefox, messenger..)
It seems to be exclusively an OBS issue

I realize this might be an issue on the side of OBS, but i still want to make sure and try both sides.

I'm having to restart the scene to restart it but only works for another several minutes.. also noticed the volumes get out of sync. Current setup: Gaming pc = Ryzn 7 5800x, AMD B550 Tomahawk Mobo, 64gb Ram with a 3060ti gpu Streamin PC = Ryzn 5, 32gb Ram, unknown HP Mobo, with a 1660ti gpu... Does Anyone have got a solution for my problem? Have a HD60 S+. i am using an android with 11. The Elgato is in my system. I reinstalled the Capture 4K Utility, replaced all cables and formated my Phone and Computer. When i start my Utility, the elgato is shown up but there is video source/ no signal. i deactivated the elgato in the device manager and activated again, started the 4K Utility new, still no signal. i tried on another computer and still no signal. the setting using HDR on my Android phone is off. Set it up? No idea. I dont use it. You need to install it and setup your devices that you are trying to connect.

I assume you have an Elgato light of some type. You should get it connected and hooked into the application.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I'm hoping this is a simple issue. I'm attempting to add a stream deck foot pedal to my current setup with steam deck. I plugged the foot pedal directly into the PC and saw the 3 icons representing the pedal in the top right. I was then prompted about copying over my profile. Since then, I have not been able to get the stream deck software to open. I've uninstalled / re-installed. And even unplugged the foot pedal, but now neither are working. I also turned off my anti virus to see if that was impacting the installation

If I were you, and I know you already did it...
I would back up my profile for the SD...

uninstall SD
delete the folder from /my programs/elgato
delete any SD folders you find in %appdata%
just make sure every trace is gone....

reboot the computer, reinstall...
do NOT restore profile, try to link and do the button as if it were the only thing on the SD.
see if that works

you might need to get voice meter. you have to pipe sounds out to an "input" that then gets sent AS IF it were the mic.

sometimes, the driver has to be installed before the card.
and in the case of elgato, you frequently need the software AND the driver before it will work

the thing is, your microphone is doing the same thing as your sound board.... making noise. you have to pipe them in side-by-side. using software like wavelink or voicemeter. then you can choose the output from that program as your mic.

Sadly, creating profiles for devices you don’t own can be a bit tricky at the moment. Under the hood, the profiles are zip files, so they can be adapted manually. I would recommend creating the actions you want and saving a profile for your device, and then modify it as a zip file for the smaller device.

Then yea. You apt complex likely runs the wifi on a different subnet then their Ethernet switch. That being the case you won't be able to connect.

Not ideal but if your PC has a wireless module in it you could purchase a wireless router that you have control over. Then connect the key light and PC to it and they should be able to communicate.
Your PC would still use the Ethernet for internet access but the secondary connection would allow it to work with your light.
