I'm recently bought a 4k60 S+

How do I setup for a dual pc with my gaming PC using a 240hz monitors

facecam is like using a dslr camera, pretty easy to move the sliders etc till your content, however lighting is important. As for the wave:3 same thing, adjust, do a test recording, or monitor your own voice live, and it gets easier. as for directing what apps go where that’s in the settings to change.

Guys, I've been having a weird issue with my streamdeck.
I set the app to run at startup, of course.
But every time it runs, I have to login to Twitter and Twitch again.
What gives?

What's real weird is, I have two streamdecks on two different PCs and the issue only happens on one of them

Basically, you connect one cable to your monitor, and another one to your capture card in the other PC.
Then you set the output that's going to the capture card to DUPLICATE, or MIRROR, your desktop.
Your gaming PC will "see" the capture card as a monitor so it should look like you're setting up two monitors.

On the streaming PC you just add the capture card as a video capture device in OBS and you're gucci

At least that's how I do it

I have a hd60 which I'm using for dual pc, when plugging it in alongside my 2nd monitor it reverts my display from 240hz to 60hz and then if I then set my main display back to 240hz it causes my system to crash and reboot, is there any causes to this issue?

120hz doesn't cause it to crash but 240 does, if I then unplug the capture card I can go back to 240hz on my main display again

I use a dual pc setup that doesn't use hardware to process the signal to my streaming pc

it's over network so it avoids the need for excessive capture cards

I'm pretty well versed in the separate audio tracks but the issue I have specifically is that my stream output through wave XLR is NDI'd to the streaming PC - however I want to create another NDI audio source specifically for the music - that I have control over from my main pc that won't interfere with the existing NDI output for the main stream output.

Compatible 3rd party cables are difficult to find as they’re usually 9 pin and our device was 7. Maybe try a more specific search for a 7 pin av cable, or maybe an adapter may work for you

Which connection provides the least input latency on my gaming pc?
I currently only use the IN port on the Capture Card connected to my Gaming GPU (Internal EDID), and a DP cable directly to my gaming screen from gaming PC.

You could try that and it may work, but if it's not directly connected (without a hub) it may still have problems.

if it's just a USB-A to USB-C adapter then I think that would work as long as it's USB 3.0

Feels like I have a slight input delay on my mouse/keyboard, the screen also turns black for a brief second when I alt-tab out/in of games, the 4k60mk2 displays "No connection" during this brief black screen second also.
Just connected my display port cable to my GPU, it works, with sound and all via Elgato Sound Capture, but I'm just not sure if I'm using a method that causes any input delay, I mainly play high speed FPS games

Only thing that's connected from my 4k60mk2 is an HDMI to my gaming GPU, then a displayport from my gaming GPU to my gaming Screen

I don't know if this will help the latency, but I would connect it like this:
Gaming PC GPU ---> DP Cable 1 ---> 4k60 IN
4k60 OUT ---> DP Cable 2 ---> Gaming monitor
and see if that helps... duplicating the display may be what is causing the lag, but I don't know for sure

I think you would need to route all the sound from your applications back to "Default" instead of the channel in Wave Link. But if you did that you would need to re-route them again when you want to use Wave Link later on.

There are a few cases where I like to use it that doesn't have to do with streaming... Like sometimes I get on voice chat with friends who use Xbox game chat and when I run that through Wave Link I am able to mute them or adjust the volume with my Stream Deck... very specific case, but if you don't have a reason like that or using VSTs for your Wave mic, it might be better for you to not use it.

In Windows there should be a selection at the top of "App volume and device preferences" where you can choose your input and output devices for all the apps that are set to "default"

anyone know why video out looks like this in preview for apps? zoom, obs are the same. fuzzy lines. No issue on the a6000 camera. No issue until today. I've tried moving to different usb ports. cam link is in a usb 2.0 port.

Having issues with friends being able to hear me on discord, I've double/Triple checks all settings and audio routing but still nothing. I'm on Windows 11 with all updates. OBS and my stream deck seem to be having issues "communicating". I've checked to see if either need updated and both are on current version. When I press the button on my stream deck that should change my OBS to a specific scene, it shows the yellow warning symbol. Pressing the button to go live and nada. If I'm live and press to shut stream off... That doesn't work either. I've been dealing with a few of these off and on for about a month and now it's to the point where I may as well not even be using my stream deck. Please help!

does anyone know how to fix the cloning with my elgato, when i launch full screen games or when i alt tab it freezes up and then goes back to normal after 5 seconds, its getting annoying and i really dont want to use full screen projection it ruins the quality when i stream. here's what I've done, and may this may help too. I've installed both OBS 32, and the 64. I've also made sure my vpn is disabled, as some vpns work, and not all. then I was able to have them communicate. the issue is know with OBS, and Streamlabs due to an API issue.

When I installed drivers again from Elgato it said newer drivers were already installed but I went ahead and installed it either way since the issue was there before

This is only an issue when capturing in 1080p. I've been able to bypass the issue when capturing a pc by using Voicemeeter VBAN but when using the cards own audio capturing a console in 1080p it's crackling pretty bad.

Hey, I've been having issues with getting my new 4k60 Pro Mk.II to work. I've sent a support ticket and posted on reddit but nothing yet so I figured I'd try my luck here as well as a hail mary 😅

So, with the capture card plugged in as is, my computer just isn't detecting it. It's not showing up in device manager, it's not showing up in the 4K Capture Utility. The passthrough is working just fine though, if I switch my monitor over to HDMI it shows the console output that's going into - and out of - the capture card just fine.

To add to this I've taken one more step based on something a friend of mine recommended, I tried disconnecting my second hard drive's SATA connector because he said the second PCIe 3.0 x16 slot might not be active while something's connected to that SATA slot, but that changed nothing.

it depends on board and slot, but there are only a certain number of pcie lanes, and some devices have shared lanes so if 1 is in use the other wont work. So with your board m2_1 will cause pcie4 to be disabled still looking for slot info, and if m2_2 is in use it will kill off some sata ports.

so you could try swapping your graphics card and the 4k60 to see if they both work or if one stops working in that slot.

I've heard of this happening before and now it's happening to me. My facecam never wants to work anymore. No matter what cable I use and no matter what USB port it's plugged into, it'll work work less than a minute before the light turns off and it freezes up as if it's been disconnected. Hey everyone, I'm new to the server and also to the stream deck. I'm having an issue creating a button that will open my programs needed for streaming, including OBS. The issue is, once OBS is open I want to have it change my scene to my starting scene. I've different ways including the Multi Action button and the Multi Action Switch button and it just wont do it. I've even put in a delay up to 3.5 secs thinking it needed time to connect to the web-socket. Everything else so for opens when I press the button. HELP Please....

Open OBS, then wait 4 seconds, then switch scenes. If you plan on more actions after that, consider a second or two pause after switching scenes. If OBS seems to take longer than 4 seconds to fully open, increase that 4 second pause.

I like the multi action switch because first press starts the stream and the second press ends the stream. Cuts down on the number of buttons needed. I have my BRB setup for on and and off with the multi action switch as well.

Hey everyone, I'm having a heck of an issue and can't for the life of me figure out whats going on. Any help would be appreciated.
From what I can tell there seems to be a problem with my Wave Link software.
I have a Wave XLR, and have been streaming quite happily with it for quite some time. Was offline for a bit due to my processor giving up the ghost, but I'm back now, everything seems to have been working fine, but now I'm suddenly having some odd issues:

When I have the monitor Mix set to the Headphones plugged into the Wave XLR, no issue hearing anything being monitored. But if I switch it to my speakers it no longer outputs to my speakers -- this is a fairly new problem that only started when I started trouble shooting the OTHER problem.

in Wave link I can see that it is receiving my Mic input by looking at the levels, and I can hear the built in monitoring without an issue. However the mic is no longer being picked up in any other application (yes I checked to make sure the various apps and windows default were set to the XLR Mic)

Similarly in OBS Wave Link Stream receives no audio whatsoever So I'm getting no audio output at all from Wave Link, except for monitoring directly by the attached headphones.

• I've updated Firmware
• I've Uninstalled / Reinstalled (both current 1.5 and 1.4.1 versions)
• I've tried the renaming / deleting Wavelink Folder in %appdata%

This is literally the first time I've ever had any trouble with it, and have never had problems setting it up to work properly before. So I'm in a bit of a stumped state. If anyone has any ideas or help to offer, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

best I can suggest is to double check the audio output mode on the capture. I've always had success making sure it was set to 'Capture Audio only'. When the source is active a new audio source should show up

I set mine to Monitor and Output so I can hear the game audio via OBS as I usually play what I'm caping from OBS anyways.

if you're trying to cap from something like a PS4 - you may also need to check that the audio DMCA settings on the console are disabled, since it may prevent audio being captured as well

Has anyone had any issues with the monitor mix and stream mix not outputting audio? I've been using Wave Link for well over a year and never had a problem before, this issue just started happening yesterday.

Stream Mix doesn't output anything
Monitor Mix only outputs to the attached headphones, not to any other speakers when they're selected.
Mic is being picked up by Wave Link, but no other program will recognize it.

Hey @fickle pulsar, Thanks again for the offer of help, but no need! I accidently stumbled across the problem, and it's all working fine now. I emailed elgato back with the solution to my problem, to hopefully help them include it in their basic troubleshooting.

It's something specific to Win 11 - Because it's the same OS for tablets, and has the ability to run 'apps' as well as 'desktop applications' there's actually setting for your Microphone Privacy - to allow or disallow certain apps access to the microphone. Everything was turned on, but some update or something Turned off Microphone Permissions. - So on the OS side of things everything is perfectly fine, everything is installed and working... it's just that nothing is ALLOWED to use it.

So, SL OBS miiiight have a bit of an issue with the colors being outputted

In the Configure Video settings;
Output color Range: Expand

Video Capture Device settings;
Color Space: 709
Color Range: Full
Buffering: Auto-Detect

SLOBS settings;
Color Format: NV12
YUV Color Space: 709
YUV Color Range: Full

4KCU settings;
HDMI Color Range: Bypass (Same as input)
Input EDID Mode: Merged
EDID (Internal): 1080p

4KCU has the colors completely normal, SLOBS is showing them very poorly, brights are way too bright, darks are way too dark

I set my settings to these because that's what I found in various topics while googling but it's not really working

Recording the 4KCU in SLOBS shows the correct color range so I'm extremely confused

hey all, figure I try with community support before going official... I can not get any computer sounds out of my headphone port on a my wave3. Checked the settings in the WaveLink software and it looks the way I would think it is supposed to. The only way I am able to get computer sounds is if I use the HDMI passthrough on my monitor, and route the headphone wire there. Otherwise the software is working...not sure what to try. I have done a full uninstall and reinstall of the software (painful, when settings were just so right). ** Edit: This is only a recent change, like last couple of weeks, prior to this everything worked as expected with headphones plugged into the headphone port on the wave3

yes, only if you’re wanting to use the headset to the console, and party chat. If you’re not doing that, you could have the audio route to hdmi on console, and then just use the headset connected to the pc. in obs you can monitor and output your capture card via the audio mixer’s advance properties.

I’m not able to answer that, but there were Q&A’s from elgato when they go live sometimes. They usually answer certain things, but the answer you’re looking for for this capture card is it’s not possible. Internal is the best option for what you seek.

Hey all, I just purchased and setup a HD60+ on my capture PC. I can get audio and video from my gaming PC...but it "steals" the audio. If i change my audio output to the HD60, its fine, but I cant hear ANY of my local sounds (like games) and if I change my audio output to my speakers or headphones on my gaming PC, no audio goes to my capture. look at it this way. 4K has been around a few years, most people still stream 1080p unless it’s YouTube video that has a video upload of 4K, and most will never stream live 4K due to internet bandwidth. 1080p atm is the sweet spot for most streamers, and can be limited to 720p due to internet. Most people don’t have anything beyond 60fps, and OBS, etc… only output 60. You can capture base in certain cards what they are capable of capturing, but at max on twitch they will still view it in 1080p 60fps.

Still not able to connect to my two elgato key lights. It was recommended that I do a firmware update but I can't get them to connect. I have had issues with having to re add them when I was streaming back in the day but now if I can get them to connect at all, and 95% I cannot, they will not stay connected. This is SO very annoying. I get they had issues with the stream deck but now I can't even use them at all.

On phone I keep getting an unexpected error occureed when trying to connect the accessory to the wifi. When doing it on my PC I see both my lights but it fails to connect there to.

I have reset my internet, restarted my computer and phone, reset the lights... I am just tired of having to do this so often with these lights.

I think I got it now. I had to do the following.

unplug both lights
Hard reset the router
plug in only one light and reset it
Got it to content to the phone app.
It took two or three tires for it to update the firmware
Repeat the process on second light
I am on attempt four for updating firmware now... and it failed again. I will try restarting the process... again.

And it seems like the problem was that both cannot on at the same time. I had to do one, then the other. When I finished one I had to turn it completely off or the other would keep failing. The first one did fail to update twice but the second did not update until I turned the first one off.

Yes. And now I can control them with the PC and phone app. The next step will be to try to us my stream deck to control them again but I took it to our church and set it up to control our ATEM switcher there. my A/V team loves it so I will be buying a new one.

Got myself the HD60 S+ today and it’s getting the video perfectly fine, but when I go into my settings to select the audio from it nothing is recognizing it as an audio device…

Almost everything I find online just tells you how to switch to it but not what to do if it doesn’t even show up, and I got no clue how to get it to appear

Are you sure it is plugged into a USB 2.0 port and not a USB 3.x or a USB hub of any kind?

if it is, plug it into a USB 2.0 port and reboot. Problem should be resolved.

Anyone also has problem with re-paring the Ring Light again? Mine lost its connection (after some minutes not working at all) but now i cannot pare it again. 3 Key Lights are in the same WiFi working. iOS App does find the Ring light as WiFi when trying to pare but then the Ring Light does not seem to connect to the home WiFi (the same it was in before - nothing changed). so to reduce this, it’s best to have a dual monitor setup, or at least a single monitor, and a tv setup. You’d use the tv to your output, and console for your input. Rather than use live preview, you’d use the 2nd monitor/tv for live viewing.

Using a USB will cause issues for any stream deck. It is power AND bandwidth at issue. Both XL's should be plugged into USB 2.0 ports on the back of the motherboard. No hubs, no USB 3.x.

Picked up an unopened 4k60 Pro Mk2 off a gent a month or so ago and finally had time to pull my computer apart and get it installed yesterday

Currently having 2 problems:
1. Passthrough isn't working for me. I'm getting the input from my consoles but no output to my TV- I'm just told it's not getting any signal from the HDMI
I've done many a computer restart/cold boot, tried several different HDMI's, pulled the 4k60 out of the computer and put it back in, tried using my 2nd computer monitor thinking maybe the TV was just too old, nothing
There have been two isolated times where its worked, with everything hooked up and starting from a cold boot with my Switch also off; it powers on as the computer gets power and magically I can see the output, but if I try to move the HDMI to test any other monitor I lose it and can't get it back. This hasn't worked consistently
2. If I disconnect any part of the chain of devices and cables, there's a relatively consistent chance that I lose input entirely and it won't come back unless I fully restart my computer. It's happened from swapping HDMI's in the console/TV and the input/output on the computer and from pulling my Switch out of the dock and back in or putting it to sleep and waking it back up. Only solution I've seen about is to disable and reenable the device in the device manager but the one time I did that it told me the "Device's EDID not valid. Please reboot your PC" (rebooting did get the input back at least)

I could really use the free USB slot in my computer but at this rate it's feeling like going back to my HD60 S+ would be far easier and more reliable.
I'm gonna be real frustrated that I'm out the money too since, even though it was unopened, I did buy it off someone in the area so it's not like I can just return it

Hello I have a problem with my 4k60pro mk2 . When I start a game like valorant I get no signal. I use it for my dslr camera and the moment I get to the menu I get the elgato no signal error without question mark. I have tried everything from changing hdmi cable changing framerate resolution changing pcie slot, also tired previous versions of both 4K utility and past drivers, different camera etc . yes, the 4k Capture Utility and I even tired it with the old firmware adn the new firmware. the funny and interesting thing is that it was working fine 100% fine 3 days ago before Valorants patch. Which gets me thinking that it might be a game issue that crashes elgato software some way
