it automatically selects my webcam and i accidentally selected virtual cam, and when i selected the card it the output was just what the virtual cam output was

i tried selecting config video and now it just says "one moment please" on the output

it automatically selects my webcam
when i switch to the card the video is the last frame which my webcam was and the same resolution
if i switch to virtual cam then back to the card it does the same thing but with the virtual cam screen instead

I figured the problem out on my own, the second HDMI coming from the capture card was meant to be sent to the TV and the USB to the computer, therefore streaming on your TV and pc at the same time

Hello fellow elgato tech users I have a slight issue audio wise. All my audio spotify, mic, and gameplay audio come through fine for both me and my stream however I am the only person who can hear my alerts and sound alerts my stream can't hear them and I can't figure out wat I'm doing wrong. Thought those were the same. But when I plug it in direct nothing happens, while if I plug in the splitter then plug the HD60 S into that, I get two white flashes and a red one.

There's one available Thunderbolt/USB3, don't have much choice. All the direct USB2 ports are also occupied, so I need the splitter for any other USB1 or 2 that needs a powered connection. (The one that's on there now also has HDMI, for when I was trying to go the other direction.)

depending on how recent your pc is itll be either 2.0 or 3.0 but 3.0 is a standard now so it should be 3.0

i used one, i did, but i moved away from them after the HD60s, once I got the HD60s+, and now 4k60Pro MK.2 I've not needed splitters. That was maybe over 3 years ago because streaming on Macs was a bad idea, but it was what I had at the time. Bootcamp became my best friend until the Mac Mini died, then PC. It drove me nuts with audio delay, but splitters also can cause issues. best to not use them if you can avoid it.

Found a C to 3.0 cable, plugged direct to a 3.0 slot, still no joy. Same behavior from the HD60 S, white white red. It sees the laptop as a selection on the source name dropdown but I get nothing.

OBS is on the iMac. Most of what I've been streaming before I play on the Mac, like FFXIV. Now I want to stream a PC game. I want to split the graphic load so the Mac handles OBS and the PC laptop handles the game.

your pc laptop, did you follow the dual pc steps to make sure your capture card is duplicating screens? did you see your capture card show up in your nvidia control panel? also hdmi in needs to be to your laptop if that's your gaming pc, vs iMac. iMac only needs the USB 3.0 port connected to the capture card's USB-C

Yes, HDMI in is connected to HDMI on the laptop. And Project says it's duplicating the screen. Nvidia Control Panel sees the Elgato device.

I'm using the OBS StreamDeck plugin, and I have OBS installed in a different directory from default, the StreamDeck plugin DLLs are in the OBS plugin folder.

The StreamDeck will connect to OBS one time after I restart my PC. Once I close OBS and reopen it, the buttons will no longer work, and selecting a button (in chis case I'm looking at simple change scene buttons) gets stuck with "Waiting for OBS...". Restarting fixes the issue every time, only once.

Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this?

I have noticed a severe performance degradation in OBS after the recent elgato update, to the point that my frame renders went from once every 20 ms to once every 60 ms and worse! deleting the plugin totally fixes the performance issue, but then I obviously cannot use streamdeck to directly control OBS. My current workaround at the moment is to use OBS to trigger streamer.bot and then have streamer.bot communicate with OBS over websockets instead. My OBS setup has a very large amount of sources, but this has never caused an issue with elgato's plugin prior to the update.

My guess is that elgato's update is doing something like marching through all sources after any signal, or worse

I don't think this is possible, but is it possible to apply a VST like an upward compressor to ONLY the Stream Mix (wave xlr) and not my local mix, for like game audio on stream?

Hey folks. I just added a WAVE XLR to my setup. Frustrated with my system sound when I'm working on my PC as just a PC and not streaming...sounds are either incredibly quiet or so loud the neighbors across the street can hear it...I'm running Win 11. If I unplug the XLR, all my sounds go back to what they were, without having to have all the volume settings jacked up to 100...

I go into Windows Settings and set the "sound" to be directed through the speakers, and NOT the XLR...is the sound so quiet because when the XLR was first plugged in, my system sounds were not loud enough?

when you swap to 'speakers' you are swapping to a different audio device, I'm assuming either onboard mobo sound, or usb speakers?

if windows isn't remembering your volume levels after switching devices, or your speakers not resetting, that doesn't really have anything to do with your Wave XLR

Yeah, I'm guessing you have your web browser set to browser device in wavelink? generally people have system set as the default output device, keyboard controls by default affect the default output device's volume and mute settings in windows (which is generally discouraged for wave link usages, since you have a more advanced mixer)

If you instead set the browser to the System source, then your keyboard buttons would work

They wouldn't affect your monitor/master mix tho, just anything output to system

it's not that I can't get the buttons to work - it's that the sound is SO QUIET with the XLR plugged in, and all Window settings are set to 100. Everything was set to 100 AFTER the XLR was plugged in...

I'm guessing your sliders in wavelink are all the way up, and you don't have any vst plugins running on it in this situation?

I had a similar experience when I recently reinstalled Windows. To fix it, I set the Windows output device to my actual speakers so it didn't use Wave Link at all. Then I turned the volume up to 100. Once the volume was up, I switched the Windows output device back to my desired Wave Link device (Wave Link System in my case). After that, I was getting much louder output like I'd expected. Hopefully that makes sense.

I pointed a setting to "Browser" and it's working better...not sure why THAT setting all of a sudden helped me but it did.

I read somewhere in my research - and it would've helped up front...to adjust ALL volume to MAX before - BEFORE - plugging in the XLR...then you can dial it down from the XLR

I downloaded the new update for the stream deck and it often has trouble locating sources leading to buttons/functions no longer being able to work or it mislabels the sources, like in the picture above, where the source it's listing from OBS is "Moving Wallpaper" yet that is what turns on and off my Face Camera source in OBS. If I choose the source "Face Camera" it turns off the chat on my OBS scene.

I tried reverting the update but unfortunately that leads to all of my pre-made buttons being invalid so I feel stuck on this update. Anyone else experiencing this or have a solution?

Good morning. I have a 4K60 Pro Mk.2. I am trying to play in 4K and stream in 1080P on a dual PC setup. For some reason I am only able to get a signal through to the card if my game resolution is set to 1080P. Any help is greatly appreciated.

all your keys need to be reconfigured. The update sometimes is routing those keys differently and it’s just because of the update, once you get that corrected where the keys are supposed to do the correct functions everything should work

pretty much, or just redo the functions inside the key, since the key is already labeled.

The functions inside the key? If I delete the key and re-add it the problem still persists.
The key labeled Face Cam can only turn off the OBS Source "Face Cam" if the source in elgato is "Moving Wallpaper." If I make the source "Face Cam" it turns off the source "Chat" in OBS.

TL;DR: When using Voicemod, the feedback of my own voice is annoyingly delayed.

When using voice effects and the soundboard, I'd like to hear what my audience is hearing. Both to make sure that an effect is indeed audible and to make sure that an effect is indeed disabled when I expect it to be. So hearing what my audience is hearing is very useful.

To achieve this, I created the "wiring" below:

• Mic In signal from the Wave XLR goes into Voicemod;
• Voicemod output goes into the Wave Link SFX channel;
• Wave Link SFX channel is send out through the monitor and stream mix.

Notes:

• The Wave XLR input channel in Wave Link is muted for both the monitor and stream mix to prevent hearing myself twice.
• The Wave Link input and output buffers are both set to "Very Small"

Compared to listening directly to the Elgato Wave XLR channel, the Wave Link SFX channel now has a delay. It's not a lot, but it's enough to make speaking through it very annoying. I get that this delay "needs" to be there since the software needs to process my voice and change it.

It might be just my broken brain, but when I hear my own voice with a tiny delay, I basically start speaking slower and slower till I stop :D.

So here's the challenge: Most of the time, I'll be in "normal speaking mode", in which directly hearing myself without any delay would be preferable. But how do I "wire" everything so that I still hear the voice and soundboard effects when those are active, but don't hear my voice delayed when they're not. I tried playing around with the Mic/PC mix but that doesn't really help.

Or am I approaching it all wrong anyway and is there a better way of doing this?

PS: I have a Stream Deck to control Voicemod, so if needed I could setup some actions through that as well.

Heyo! So Sony just released a BETA software which introduces support for 1440p at 60 and 120hz. Having a 4K60 Pro MK2 I got really excited as those resolutions are already supported on Xbox consoles. However, plugging PS5 into my capture card, the console claims that 1440p is not supported. Plugging the HDMI cable directly to my monitor - shows support for both 60 and 120hz at this resolution.

Perhaps someone, with the same capture card already found a workaround or is this something that is required to be enabled by Elgato themselves with a firmware update?

EDIT: EDID settings did the trick. Changed it to Internal from merged and both refresh rates now work at 1440p

Just got an El Gato HD60S+. I'm fairly sure I have everything connected correctly.

Switch: Has HDMI going from console to IN on El gato.

El Gato: Power cord is going from it's USB-C port to a USB port on my PC.

El Gato: HDMI is going from the OUT port, to an HDMI port on my monitor.

Everything plays fine. Only issue I'm facing is the sound (From the Switch itself, doesn't matter if it's the menu or a game being played, is non-stop clipping.). My sound on my PC is fine, have no issues there.

OH I just fixed this issue yesterday and i also Have a El Gato HD60S+ and i was using my switch as well.
So what i found is that any headset i use the sound clips but the recording is fine, right

So i tried my Bluetooth speakers and the sound is crystal clear, i Even tried using some analog speakers and they sound great as well(very little clipping).
It is still a mystery is to why headsets dont work, but wireless speakers sound just fine.
i also streamed it in the end to see is the sound in my OBS was good and it was perfect
if this doesnt work, im pretty sure its the type of headset/speaker, i am using a razor headset, and a JBL Flip 4 Bluetooth speaker

I have the Wave 3 Microphone with the Wave Link Software Today I was updating the firmware and it seems to load continuously then reach 10% before it says that it has failed. Steps I have taken are 1. Restarting the program (after a force quit), 2. unplugged and plugged the cord back (even switched ports as suggesting through research), 3. I had a similar issue but it wasn't exactly the same, removing it as a source then adding it again fixed it for me. If that doesn't work (I'm just assuming you're on windows) I would try removing the device in the bluetooth & other settings menu of settings, then unplugging and plugging the usb back in next.

I'm not sure why that would be an issue for it but I would check to make sure the port on the mac itself supports 3.0 speeds which I would assume it should but doesn't hurt to make sure and I'm not sure how drivers work on mac but if you can update your usb driver or are due for an OS update I would try that. Other than that the only thing I can think of is trying other cables, but I don't have a mac so someone else might have much better advice to give

Also wouldnt explain why when i turn off hdr it works fine or change to 4k hdr? I would expect it to sort of break dependant on all resolutions if it was bad cable?

sometimes the cable can be bad, or it may be something else causing the green. most who've had the issue change cables, that can run hdmi 2.0 usually end up with it fixed. the only other thing is maybe a different pcie slot, and make sure your bios/drivers are updated

Ok so found a fix to the 10-15 second frame drop / freezing: Apparently turning off ransomware protection from Malware bytes solves the issue.
Just to be clear, I am using the 4k capture utility with the cam link pro. 😁 hope this helps!

I've been watching all the great videos out there, but I've not seen the settings for the actual sound playback/recording tabs as far as default device, and communications. I set
wave link system to default device, and wave link voice chat as default communications device. Mic in is set default device to wave 3.
Now the obs streamlabs, I had set the mic/aux device 1 to wave link stream elgato wave3, but it's not showing anything in the bars, neither wavelink nor streamlabs.

Hello! I currently have a dual PC setup that I am planning on using for streaming on Twitch. Stream labs OBS is the streaming software I use.

I currently use the Wave 3 as a microphone and will be utilizing the 4K Pro MK 2 to capture the gameplay from the gaming PC. The Wave 3 is plugged into the streaming PC via the USB cable. 4K Pro MK 2 is installed in the streaming PC as well. Discord will also be used through the streaming PC and I am using the Wavelink software as a mixer.

My main question is this, how do I use the Wave 3 as a microphone when speaking in-game via game chat on the gaming PC if it is plugged into the streaming PC? I use a 3.5mm Jack cable for my headphones and plug it into the headphone Jack port on the back of the Wave 3. Any help regarding this matter would be appreciated!

Hey! I am using Stream Deck XL, to control OBS and feeding in information from Bitfocus Companion which is connected with singular. But the buttons which are responsible for this action are not working, attached a screenshot. From Companion however I can control the actions via virtual buttons and the changes happen in OBS. All the other buttons on Stream Deck which are responsible to control the scenes of OBS work perfectly. Any ideas?

Unfortunately, after looking at the Intel UHD 620, I don't think it's going to work well since it is an onboard chip and uses shared memory with the system. It also has very poor performance compared to the minimum required Nvidia 6xx series (or better) which is already 9 years old.

The direct OBS plugin only works with OBS Studio.

The StreamElements plugin can be added to OBS Studio, and then you can also the OBS Studio plugins on the stream deck .

I am using Elgato HD60 pro with my iPad Pro 2021. I have an original USB-C Apple HDMI connector. I dont have any problem with audio or sound but when i disconnect my hdmi cable from iPad and connect back to it, the game that i am trying to play is closing itself for many times. The game closes, i start it again then closes again. The only solution that i have found is not disconnecting the hdmi cable from my ipad but sometimes i have to take it away from my PC.
Is there anybody else experiencing this problem if u found a solution, how did you?

It's not a lot of crackling but enough for me to not want to try and play games on my ps4 using the capture card..

so i ended up going with the wave 3 mic for my setup. (love it) but i run a two pc setup. i did get my game audio to feed through using my hd60 and the listen to settings in windows audio. I need some help with my Arctis Pro Wireless headset and my PS5. I have the audio extractor mentioned in the Elgato video but after changing my settings on my PS5 as recommended in the video, the sound ONLY goes to the capture card but not my headset. Am I doing something wrong or is there no way to get game and chat audio on both the capture card AND the headset?

My Facecam is doing a pause seemingly every second. It's current firmware and Hub version, using supplied USB cable directly into the system. I've rebooted multiple times.

Found the problem. It makes zero sense, but here is the answer: I had disabled my wifi adapter in the Device Manager. This was somehow creating high driver latency.

Enabling it and then turning off wifi in windows networking has eliminated the driver latency and now the camera works fine.

Just installed a Wave 1 and Wavelink. Are there any instructions on getting things setup: what all the inputs mean and how to get VSTs to work? I've downloaded the Nvidia noise cancellation VST (both of them) but can't get it to work. I have a GTX card with the latest drivers (yes, it's RTX required but something I found said it was compatible). I downloaded some other VSTs but they don't seem to do anything (yes, I've scanned the directories and selected them from the menu...clicking the gear brings up the GUI for the VST if there is one). Some basic instructions would be good, plus some more advanced ones (yes, I've read through the FAQs on elgato.com. Still no luck.

Sorry but after many months of contacting Elgato concerning the fact the when I put the capture cards in my pc that it simply refuses to boot or even post until I disconnect the cards from my system. and being completely ignored by them I am utterly disillusioned with this brand now, or at least it complete lack of credible support. I just set up my audio channels in the Wave Link software but I'm having some issue with the game channel. I added like four games to it, but having to set every game to the game channel seems annoying when you play new games. Is there a way to automatically set games to that channel?

So I found what i think is a crazy bug with the Nvidia Broadcast Noise Removal by Elgato audio effects. I am using software version 1.5.2889 of Wave link with the Nvidia software downloaded two days ago. I also upgraded the firmware of my Wave 3 mic yesterday. When I turn on the Nvidia Noise Removal in Audio effects it pops up with the first picture. The fan is spinning in the picture but the on/off toggle and the strength slider won't move. Now this is on one of my 3 3840 x 2160 monitors. confused and playing with it for a while i just ignored it and have been streaming with mic directly into obs with there filters. while working on screen shots to post here I dragged the noise removal pop up to my 4th monitor which is 1920 x 1080. and poof magically the sliders and toggle worked. so if anyone else i having the issue. change the resolution i guess... Well there it is let me know if there is a better place to submit this or if it is already a known issue.

it could be a power bandwidth issue. have you tried a different pcie slot? have you tried different hdmi cables. i wouldn't go venting on a company, and complaining about lousy service, if they have tried to help you., have you updated your bios/drivers. these things please try them before venting, we all get frustrated when things don't work, but you can control how you react to things. try to be a bit positive here. have a good one.

Howdy! Im trying to set up my Dual Pc stream with my Elgato HD60s. I originally had the problem where i could only get the picture over but now im able to also get the sound from my mic over. I am however having troubles getting my desktop sounds over to the streaming pc. I can do it but then i do not hear them in my headset on my gaming pc. Any1 expirienced with this sort of issue? I have a question. I have a 3.1 USB Port and a Elgato HD60S and for some reason every time I unplug it to plug it into a different console, and plug it back into either my PS4 or 5 for some reason the software says it's not plugged into a 3.0 USB Port when I know it is. I have to unplug the USB cord from the Elgato it self then plug it back in order for the software to see that it is plugged into a 3.0 USB Port.

Is there anything I can do to fix this so I don't have to do this every time?

In the Sound Deck plugins for the stream deck (I think they are the official ones?), there is a sample button, which can record the last however long of audio. When you throw that clip into audacity, it has like 8 tracks, with only the first 2 with audio. Is there a way to seperate different audios to go in different tracks? For example, my friend said something funny in our discord call, but at the same time, I was spamming something in a game that was making a lot of sound, so the sampled clip didnt have much use, since the spamming sound was also there.

hey i have a dual streaming PC setup with a Elgato HD60S and my Main gaming PC has a 2070 Super with a 1440p Monitor, I have the Elgato setup to mirror my Main display but only at 1080P. yeah, sometimes certain things can scramble others. I have to turn off the nvidia broadcast audio when using a pc game to stream, if not audio on the game cuts in and out. so just keep that in mind when streaming. turn off things you don't need to use atm, and turn off when done. same with recording.

hey I'm encountering this too. no VSTs on, but my monitor mix cuts out quickly when opening new tasks (like opening up windows settings will briefly interrupt my monitors. tried a fresh install of wave link and it still happens when listening to spotify (app) or youtube (chrome). Thought it would be a ram issue but I have 32GB and my machines under a very light load

tested this with tone and recorded my monitor mix. see how the meters keep getting cut when I open windows settings?

Hey guys. I have been trying to figure out why my key light will not stay connected. I have to reset them nearly everytime I use them now. And it is a pain to even connect them. I have tired to add them manually but I cannot even connect them long enough to get an IP address. Every video or help article I read does not work for me. Hello! I need help with my audio for my elgato HD60s+ on obs So basically the sound is working fine the program says it detects it I can hear it, unless if I record then when I make a file and record it I cant hear the game audio

I am having issues with cam link. Is it supposed to only boot up in obs when i turn on the elgato game capture software? Seems like in the past I could launch OBS, turn on the camera, and if the source was the cam link it would just load up. Now it's blank each time until I load elgato software first.

Elgato Game Capture HD60X - Discord party chat not coming through on stream.

**We have a dual PC setup for the stream. **
--PC1 has obs studio streaming
--PC2 has game on it and discord.
--We use Elgato sound capture to be able to hear on game pc headset while sending sound to the capture card.

When we're live and have someone chatting in discord, they're unable to be heard on the stream. It's as if the capture card is not sending the audio to the other PC. The game audio can be heard perfectly fine as normal. Just seems like we should be able to hear any game audio. What do you think is the issue? Thanks in advance. Love to hear your thoughts. We've troubleshooted quite a bit, but no luck. Cheers!

i am having an issue with the elgato 4k60 external where it doenst recognieze itslef or it will pick it self up for a second then not work again the hdmi throughput works fine its just an issue with picking itself up i guess also i cannot re open the program after closing or trying to reset it
