@livid orchid So if I set my fps in obs to 144 with a 4k60 pro capture card and record it my fps wouldn't go lower even if I didn't have the card it would? sorry if this doesn't make sense this is really hard ot explain for myself

thing about wireless mics is that there can be some delay, and if you have a facecam your mic will be out of tune with you mouth, if its youtube its fine because you can just change the audio placement but if its streaming it could be a problem

Any desk recommendations?
I'll have two key lights (so preferably quite a wide desk but doesn't need to be crazy wide)
I'll also have a few things clamped in (lights, mic arm, few different camera angles, monitors) so ideally I'd like all edges of the desk to be "clampable".

Doesn't need to be height adjustable either but I'd consider it. Budget is flexible but ideally wouldn't want to go over a few hundred quid (UK based)

Honestly best bet is Ikea, get some desk legs, and get one of their kitchen counters. I prefer the kitchen counter over their desktops as its a solid board vs the desk tops being hollow.

Same. I am both disappointed (because I would get it) and glad (because again, i would get it) that Mic Arms were not on those deals. I already have mic arm, so don't really need one, but Elgato ones (especially LP) are sooo clean

Agreed! Haha. I have a mic arm already but would love to eventually invest in Elgato’s (just picked up the Wave 3 on Prime Day). I do have their multi-mount already, but I have another key light (non-Elgato) mounted on it already. Do you have the pop filter? Is worth it?

I got my Wave:3 yesterday, pop filter arrived today and shock mount is supposed to arrive tomorrow. Well, haven't used it with pop-filter yet, but I had one on my previous USB mic (SPC gear SM900) and could hear difference.

Let me know how it goes and if it’s worth it. I have an old pop filter from another mic, but I love the smaller footprint of Elgato’s if I do need to use one. I heard it has some pop filtering built in already…

Yeah, I would get LP right away if my desk wasn't like built like it is haha, I have Ikea Alex desk and rn my mic arm is attached between my monitors where you open that cable storage thing. LP would be eh in that place. If i wanted to attach it somewhere else I would have to drill a hole and since I re-arrange my desk often I don't want to haha

To add more though it would really depend on the CPU's you are looking at. i7-7gen does have some monster CPUs but they are up there in price. But if you are looking at the K series from intel, pretty much all the main line ryzen 7s will beat it.
