You need one thing between the PS3 and the Elgato a powered HDMI splitter. It cuts out the HDCP from the signal allowing the Elgato to see it.

Pretty much the new HD60x will do everything the 4K60 Pro (MK.2) does but it only will capture at 1080p 60 with passthrough of 4K 60 and it also has added VRR (Variable refresh rate) This is assuming you have a TV or display that accepts VRR signals. The only console that supports VRR right now is the Xbox (One S/X and Series S/X) and PC. The PS5 also support it but only within a beta testing firmware update that I believe is invite only
It's expected to come out of beta later this year.
VRR is cool but for a 4K60 Pro user I wouldn't buy it and wait for Elgato to put out a MK.3
If you're a HD60s or s+ Its a good upgrade, and as along as your current monitor or TV
supports the VRR

Does the original Elgato HD60 work for the Xbox Series S?

It very well does. It will not capture in 4K but it will still capture 1080P 60FPS, which is all you really need for Twitch. One thing to note about this is that it does NOT passthrough 4K either. If you are wanting something that will capture and passthrough 4K, I would recommend the new HD60 X or go internal with the 4K Pro PCIe version.

If you have a desk that has a back board at the knees, use that. I have a couple screws into mine to hold my power supply, wires, and power bricks. Then I used come Velcro straps to tie all the wires together into bundles. This made for really easy wire routing.

I'm a small streamer that pulls 5-15 viewers per stream and I'm looking for an upgrade which is getting Stream Deck. Every website I checked, those are so expensive (for a good reason because its a great product). I tried to find used ones but I can't find anything.

That is 100% true. I started with no equipment at all and been slowly upgrading my equipment until something happened IRL and I got in a bad situation.

I'm going to do a face reveal this Friday on stream and with a small kid who constantly runs into a room, I need to be able to quickly turn off the camera/switch streaming tabs or mute myself. So it would be super useful. If I can't find anything, I just wont get it then 🙂

Yup absolutely. This is why I haven't had fancy equipment but rather try to build an engaging community. I'm just going for a face reveal and as I previously mentioned with my own family and a little daughter, some functions of stream deck would be life saver for me on my streams.

Something I just want to note for others looking at my settings: It's very important to have good lighting to make Facecam (or any webcam in general) look crisp/clean. I'm using two Key Lights during our Elgato Streams.

You may need to do some more adjustments depending on your setup/lighting, so just mess around and tune it to how you like.
