Even tho I stream extremely rarely, the StreamDeck helps a lot.

I can send commands, power actions etc to my game servers from the StreamDeck.

i know it might sound a bit off but to be completely honest i joined because i have some questions about capture cards in general

I have one really weird capture card, but the usb that came with it broke, and despite buying a new USB that clearly doesnt work with it, i dont wanna buy another usb to find out it isnt gonna work

i found the usb that came with it but im scared that if i buy it there might be something missing from it or something smart big brain that im too dumb to do

i know that it has to be formatted to NTFS but it still doesnt work

i put the flash drive in the capture card, hit record, hit finish and when i put the flash drive in my computer there is nothing

but i know the capture card is detecting the usb because it doesn't record if there is no usb in the port

in terms of 1080p, it not a big concern to me, only my fiancée would want to see me full screen, so 60fps is much more important to me.

It seems although the resolution is "low" (it's not) the image quality is still high, and you can still get an awesome imahe from it. It's rocking a superb Sony CMOS. BUT ot still has a "small camera" quality to it, so it's not magic.

But if you're good with a photo from a phone, most people wouldn't notice, and I only do when I'm looking for it, then it shouldn't be an issue.

there are two different selections on this page: key mode and wallpaper mode. you want wallpaper mode. once you position your image the way you want it, you can download the images in a zip file. you then manually place those images just like any other key image. Loads of videos on youtube explaining the process.

I was looking at the contest entries here in Elgato discord and a bunch of people have stream deck backgrounds but they don't show in the actual keys... they show as a literal background image for Streamdeck itself... oh, ok. that’s a contest for detachable faceplates for the Stream Deck Mk. 2. there are nine designs currently available from Elgato. the only way to make a custom faceplate for yourself would be to hand paint it or 3D print one, afaik.

That’s okay, just keep in my you’re supposed to put art in the white area (removable faceplate part), not where the buttons go. Also, all entries are supposed to be original design so if your just slapping art you found on there those will likely get disqualified. So for the sake of your entries and those that actually created the art make sure you’re using your own designs

Editing and putting filters to the point OF ZERO recognition does remove copyright in some countries. So if someone recognizes it it would still be under copyright for example here in Sweden. Still doesn't make it original.

Ruben is correct. All submissions must be original which means you must have drawn/created the image yourself. You can not take a render, image from the internet, or someone's else art and just edit it and then use it as a submission.

Just to clarify, you don't only have to use just cyan, magenta, yellow, or black. You can use many other colors as long as the format/template is in CMYK. As Ruben mentioned, most programs should have that format option for you to mess around with! Hope this clears it up.

What’s the difference between Key Light and Ring Light? I don’t think Best Buy sells the Key Light so I’m stuck with the ring light. If they give the same light output I’m cool with it.
