Best advice is to set it to lowest while looking at your camera recording you and then adjusting it until it makes you look better

So with the new 6.0.1 update on the stream deck I found that if you had soundboards set to MP4 files only MP3 files work. idk if its a glitch or not but spent 2 hours trying to figure it out

and I am also using the wave link app as well

further more if you have a channel set to the SFX on wave link app, in the stream deck app SFX will not be a choice you will have to use default and it will play under that channel in your wave link app

The current basic TLDR is that it doesn't do anything more then what a normal stream deck does with the GoXLR. The SDK has not been released to devs yet so the only dial options are the built-in defaults.

I have a mild dilemma, one that’s nice to have I guess!

An unexpected sponsorship payment means I have a little bit of money to invest in the setup, as much I would like to use it on other stuff, it’s conditioned on stream investment.

There are three things I would like that I could potentially get, all serving a different purpose, two of them are probably more useful.

So I am wondering where others would prioritise?

Option 1:- FaceCam

I have a setup on which on one desk where I game, I have a Sony ZV-1 as my face camera, but a second setup where I paint and I am currently use Ing a Logitech C920 as the face camera.

So here the FaceCam would slot in and replace that.

Option 2:- Keylight Air

I have two of these, due to the two desk setup it means some repositioning to get the best light

So a third permanently set up means I could in theory at both setups, have two lights plus a fill light at all times

Light at either setup isn’t bad, but this would absolutely be a nice to have

Option 3:- Stream Deck Pedal

A straight up nice to have, would do little more than allow for a few things to be done easier whilst gaming, that’s it, it would be a nice thing as opposed to an essential

All of these will be invested in at some point, but just looking for some guidance.

I would 100% go with the facecam. It's going to be the most impactful change out of them. The key light airs are easy to move if you really need and the peddle is a nice to have but won't really change your content. The upgraded camera will be a direct, dramatic, and noticable quality change to your stream/videos.

They do not, but the top-piece is wood of the desk right? It wouldn't look great but you could add a piece of thinner wood ontop of your desk, drill through it and the desk and mount it down with bolts, so you have an extension of the desk I mean..

My chinese mic-arm only has a 1.7inch clamp, I'm lucky this desk is only 1.2 inches thick

So the G9 Neo is being returned. One thing I didn’t like was when in PBP the HDR on the console was washed out as oppose to the rest of the monitor. VRR doesn’t do much with the 4K60Pro MK.2 capture card, since it still does 1440p 120hz regardless. Guess I saving myself some money, and setting up my Corsair Xenon Monitors back up. (This is a bigger issue due to a dead pixel, but I’ve made up my mind) I do love Ultrawide monitors. Just wish I could have all 3 inputs active vs 2. Maybe Corsair & Elgato can make this happen. 👀

HI all, having trouble with my stream decks, in the last few weeks when I switch to a profile and click on something on my main screen (I have three screens on one computer) the profiles tend to switch back to the default one. This is extremely annoying. How do I prevent this from happening?

Dont set a default profile.... done. This used to drive me crazy too.

it can be named default, but unset it as the default profile so you have no default profile set.

Leave it the way it is, leave it named the same thing... go to setting, go to your default profile and uncheck the box that says Make this my default profile.

consoles aren't like pc's they are designed to work with specific peripherals that work with the console's OS. As for mics, I believe wave1, wave:3 work with the ps5, but not the streamdeck that's pc/mac only. possibly linux

Hello, I joined just to ask a few questions on the new elgato stream deck +, I was looking for a way to modify my internal window sound mix with a physical mixer, and I found the Beacn Mixer Plus
But then I was hinted to look at the new Stream Deck, and I was wondering : what can the Beacn Mixer plus can do that the Stream Deck cant ?

(Only for the audio related stuff, the other stuff is pure bonus on my book)

The Stream Deck + can do everything the Beacn does plus so much more. I had a Beacn Mix prior to the release of the Stream Deck+. Immediately replaced it with the Stream Deck+.

but you can confirm to me that it's as easy to configure on the elgato etc etc ?

All Stream Decks are easy to setup in my opinion. However, the Beacn only does one thing. So if you had to compare the ease of setup, the Beacn would win because it doesnt do anything but the audio. But only by a small margin. Personally I think compared to the Stream Deck+ the Beacn is a waste of money.

Hi guys, I am having trouble setting SD+ knob increments.

First issue I am facing is that whenever I change the value from 5pct to another value, say 1 pct. for a knob, it changes the whole knobs' increments, in all pages

the other issue is that whenever I restart my desktop, the values are set back to 5 pct, so I need to change it with each reboot.

I'm kinda excited with the feature request I just submitted about cycled actions, vs multi-actions. I hope this can be done. can you image just pushing a button, and cycling through that next action once, and push it again, and it does the next action, so on and so forth? the dial stack gave me the idea, but for the buttons.

Need some advice. I use a full size goxlr today to mix between a pc (usb), a Mac (line in), a TV (optical in), and then I use both line out for speakers and the headphone for headphones. What if anything from elgato can i use to replace the goxlr?

Also I use the line in for my mic (not xlr), which is also connected by usb to the Mac so I can use it and mute independently on both systems

Any help would be appreciated, thx

tbh a lot of terraform is very specific to the providers you're using, as it's basically a standardized configuration language. AWS terraform acts a bit differently to GCP terraform for example

and people can (and do!) template things out to create consistent interfaces, but that always becomes a bit fun

Until the SDK is out the Plus doesnt currently support the OBS Audio mixer. It can mix your windows application audio as well as wave link.

As an additional bonus having the Stream Deck Plus give you access to the Wave Link software without actually needing a Wave mic now which is awesome.

Understandable. To be fair to Elgato though the software is super simple and once you set it up you likely wont really need to touch it again.

All you do is add the channels you want and assign your applications to the channel you want. Then in OBS add the Stream Mix as an audio source and you are done.

if you really dont want to learn new software, just stand by. I want to say most of the major plugin devs have already figured out enough of the framework to be able to move quickly once the new SDK drops.

I know BarRaider is working on the OBS audio mixer plugin as well so likely shortly after the SDK release you could just use that as well and continue as normal.

I've already managed to get most of the SDK documented unofficially, but I doubt other devs want to use my guesses and piggybacked work

At a super conservative estimate, I'd guess (not knowing anything about any dev timelines) that preliminary support for dials can start hitting third-party plugins within a couple weeks, and then dials will really take off once the official SDK is published.

So i can safely say, i pretty much hate UPS... I should got my pink wave 3 yesterday but i wasn't home so before the day begun i said to them go deliver on friday instead... They send my package from the closest facility to one across the country (the netherlands) to scan it there and realize oh this need to go back to the first facility where it already was...
