Welp, I decided to finally say farewell to my quad monitor layout. (triple 27 inch below, 1 ultrawide on top). Ever since I lost my old job I never used the large screen estate, always having one unoccupied monitor. Going from 4 to 3 to save both power and make it look better.

My capturecard is End-of-life aswell, but I took it out and hoping eventually to be able to replace it with the HD60X, I can really recommend that product 🙂 Supports high-refreshrate and passthrough

I took mine out before I upgraded to Win 11 though, since I don't use a 1080p monitor so had no use for it since it didn't support passthrough 😛

Active noise cancelling is under rated, and it can pair to two devices so I have it paired to my phone and my PC

For music outdoors and for the TV I use a pair of Sennheiser, for mixing/mastering I use a pair of AKG aswell as a set of Mackie CR4 monitors

and then these Steelseries Arctis 7 Wireless for gaming

You need a capturecard that supports passthrough, such as that 4K60 PRO MK2 or the HD60X so you can still game at 1440p while capturing 1080p for example 🙂

Hi everyone, I'm new and I have a question

I've got Elgato HD60 X capture card, I wanted to know is it ok if I keep my console always connected to capture card, even when I don't need to record and just passthrough?

I don't want to unplug and replug HDMI all the time, + my monitor doesn't support PS5 VRR normally, but with the capture card, it can support.

So is it ok to always use it? I see it's hot when I'm using it

You mean USB, that's not an issue as I have switch on my USB, My question is when I don't wanna capture or stream, is it ok to use capture card before monitor like casual gaming 5-6 hours per day?

Because with this card, I can enable VRR for PS5, so I'ma use it as a device all the time connected to console for the best performance!

Yeah I have mine plugged into the ps5 and computer 24/7, and I just turn the pc on to hear the audio from my ps5 through wave link even when I’m not streaming

BTW I noticed that audio has delay from capture card, a better way (that I use) is to get AUX from monitor (if it has) and connect to PC as microphone input, then enable listen to audio, this way it has 0ms latency

What does that app do?

It’s the software for the Wave microphones

Basically a virtual mixer that allows you to have multiple audio inputs that all go to one output

And you can control them all separately

Normally this way you get monitor output as input to PC like a microphone with 0ms delay and works with all software, you can even apply compressor to audio to hear footsteps too loud in shooter games (Guess I'm the only cheater doing this)

hello, i have basic question about 4k60 pro mk2 cuz i think im wrong about how capture cards work

i hate nvidia shadowplay, it gives me stutters etc but i need instant replay feature, i know can i use 4k60 pro mk2 just for recording last 2 hours of gameplay for example just like instant replay feature works but i have question about connection

i have 2 monitors, do i have to plug my "gaming" monitor to the elgato card or if im just using it as basic recording like shadowplay i dont need to plug anything just card in pcie slot and thats it?

I'm trying to capture lossless video, with OBS, even with AVI 7GB/m the quality is very low

I’m loving it, agree there are times when it’s slow, but that’s just the heavy exposition and story telling that is needed

I tried OBS and some others, no matter what settings, video quality is bad, even when set to 4K 30FPS recording. but Elgato app is capturing so good, however, I need lossless files for framerate tests, and that app can't record lossless
